Great to see you in Melbourne enjoying our many great Asian eateries.. You are educating me about Asian food & foods to try in my home city.. Heading to ‘Miilk’ next week, mmm. Safe travels Ryan, looking forward to your next travels..
Love the channel Ryan. Next time you are in Melbourne, consider getting outside of the free tram zone. Maybe buy yourself a Myki and head down to South Melbourne market. A session at the stand-up seafood bars and Agathe's pastries is a treat indeed. A tram ride to the National Gallery and then lunch at somewhere like the Mussel Pot at the Queen Victoria Market makes for a great day out. If you really want to get out of your comfort zone, try Ballarat. For reasons I don't fully understand, the Spanish/Mexican food scene based around Armstrong Street here is on another level. Dr M
@@ryansofly Yes Ryan you are the REAL SAVING Private Ryan.. Well i was emotional when you showed.. ELIZABETH/ Flinder st.. my regular spot.. KIM SING CHEAP Eats .. Flinders lane.. then DYMOCKS.. Bourke Galeria
Ryan, next time you're in Melbourne go to soi 38. It's a very hidden place underneath a car park. Can't miss it due to the smell. you also sit on the small plastic chairs which are mainstays in south East Asian restaurants
There's quite a few great Thai restaurants in Melbourne too rival anything in Bangkok..no 12 was good but there's one opposite the Victoria market really great..the cbd does have.great food but venture a few km out and things get a bit harder too find anything decent ..if you don't live in the cbd Melbourne is a boring place too live
I used to study in Melbourne back in the day and I did find even back then, the foodie scene was on another level. But Thai cuisine out in the suburb is usually a fail. So I'm discerning. And I'll only feature the authentic ones.
Truth be told, I did discover an excellent nasi lemak place in the city but they've closed down. Which is such a shame. Otherwise, I normally manage my expectations accordingly.
