Lightroom Update 13.0 (October 2023) - Two Amazing New Features!

New in October of 2023, Lightroom update 13.0 brings a few key new features to Adobe's flagship photo editor. First, this new update gives users the ability to apply lens blur, replicating bokeh, in Lightroom. Previously, to achieve a lens blur effect, users would have to use Photoshop.
Additionally, this new update improves the color adjustment capabilities in Lightroom. Adobe has expanded the hue, saturation, and luminance sliders to now offer something called the Color Mixer. In this video, you'll learn exactly how to use all of the new tools.

Hi Austin, great review! Quick question re the HDR bit. Some of my edits look incredible when I check this box but I'm struggling to understand the real benefit of it as when its exported to a JPG with the HDR export tab clicked, it still isn't displaying the image like it did in LR. Quality is definitely being lost in the export process even though the screen is fully HDR compatible and the image looked great in LR. Any ideas?

Hmm, it should be showing on HDR screens. It’s hard to say what the problem is without actually seeing it for myself. I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
