Yharon is the one singing. This was his message to the final boss. This is music is not his boss fight theme, because YOU are the final boss. And you can try again. This his his final dying roar to warn his best friend of the situation. And even as he makes his final dying roar, it is time to look upwards to the next conquest. Like our predecessor.
I love that the song is addressed to the mastermind Yharim of the calamity mod, and the 'enemy' mentioned is the player themself. Yharon is calling out as it is slaughtered by the Terrarian Hero who is an unstoppable force on their way to kill the king.
You hear the final roar of the jungle dragon yharon, the phase 1 theme fades out and you believe that you have won. Suddenly, the air starts to feel warmer around you. You hear the low crackle of flames growing louder and louder. Suddenly a powerful orchestra fills your ears, and you realize that the battle has barely begun…
Because it was different and stood out compared to the rest of Calamity's ost, not a bad thing at all, but back then before the community really started embracing works that transformed the whole feel of the game like River of Stars they wanted mods that felt like they could be part of the base game, and with this standing out as much as it did people didn't like how not Terraria it felt, ultimately this would change as people embraced the new direction the modding community was going and admitted they were being unfairly harsh on the song and it's creator.
@@snowpegasi Wow, that is a lot to take, although thankfully they did admitted they were being harsh to the creator. But look at (the creator of the song) now, he isn’t quite what he used to be.

Can't wait for him to do the next major boss, Stained Brutal Calamity. Supreme Calamitas' theme is the best composed one imo, even if it sounds rushed due to the communty being on DOKURO's back all the time. It's still a phenomenal epic piece with many story layers behind it and its lyrics. I 100% RECOMMEND you listen to it with Lyrics on the side because the synth choir is hard to understand for those who haven't heard the lyrics before
@@aniemato it not fair for yharon, because terrarian is either being that progress in power too fast for him, a gigachad that defeat him without scratches, or able to be revived infinite time with no way to stop it revive ability and that being won't stop, yharon can be revive but if yharim die he no longer can
Every reaction I’ve seen of this song has had that same reaction, including me when I first heard it in-game The fucking *rush* when you finally hit that intro for the second phase, and goddamn _lyrics_ kick in while you’re fighting for your goddamn life? There’s no way you don’t stop in shock for at least a moment
Oooooh that introduction was *ahem* FIRE!! I did not expect vocals at all! But they sound really nice! That's true that synthesizers have a much larger access to range than vocals do, which is a double edged sword. Because yes you can make a melody on a synth with wild intervals, however, if they don't fit together then it won't sound very appealing. Also, with vocals, you can get rich layering that if done right sounds better than a synth layering. So there's pros and cons to both methods. And since those vocals are DM Dokuro's then that's a testament to both his composition and his vocal skills! Side note: the harmonies at "Roar" in the lyrics make it sound like a human roar, which is a nice touch! Bells! Yep it's DM Dokuro's work! That transition from the fast to the slow section was really well done! It's hard to do that drastic of a transition and still feel like the same song, so well done DM Dokuro! Something I like about the percussion is that the rhythms nicely transition! For example at 7:57 the rhythm is on high hats (or something related, I'm not a percussionist lol) but then it eases into a drumset at 8:18 before going into the chorus. A cool way to keep the rhythm while also changing the mood!
This theme is still used even though yharon is no longer a jungle dragon. Now he's the dragon of rebirth & resplendant pheonix //Edit : fix the wrong word
I'm playing the Calamity mod again, now with some friends and I can't wait for this battle, just for this soundtrack and the impact it gives to the gameplay it self.
LETS GOOO! Finally time for the song I still love as my favorite song to this day from Calamity Mod, ever since a few years ago when I first played Calamity Mod back in 1.3 when Supreme Calamitas was still a giant mechanical eye!
As people said, you should listen to inferior fabrications by pinpinneon, official theme of one of the final calamity bosses, but I hope you also listen to catastrophic fabrications by the same creator, which isn’t in base calamity but is a part of the infernum addon and I think is amazing :)
Idk why he isnt commenting any one of these types of comments even though a big portion is to request him to listen to these music so idk he will listen to them sadly
Yharon's song is very iconic i'd say, not because it's angelic and represents a dragon, but more because the song gets lyrics and this was never seen in the mod before, add to that that these lyrics are directly talking about Yharons loyalty to Yharim (the ultimate boss of Calamity who's not in the game yet) and when you start to read these lyrics you understand how loyal Yharon is which give a sad touch to the boss fight directly. Anyways i can't wait for you to get to the last song ! You will see, it's something (my favorite of all of these)
I remember my first time beating Yharon, i ,,killed" him first time and was like damn this is easy but then his HP started regenerating as this song started and i legit god chills up my spine
The best part about this piece is how iconic it is, and that theres an even better remix done by Richard EB which DM Dokuro himself enjoyed. Now then, reminder the next one also has lyrics.... so... No more holding back they wish for demise
Wonderful and engaging analysis as always. I loved hearing the demonstration of how the melody would sound beautiful as instrumentals. And once again all that you've said, gathered from the music and what the composer is telling you, is completely accurate to what this fight and this phase means in game.
Love the point that you made about the first time that lyrics show up in a game making a huge impression. Two examples I can think of off the top of my head from what I've played in the past few years: "Eyes On Me" - the Ragnarok cockpit scene in Final Fantasy 8 "From a Place of Love" - Library of Ruina Picked these two cause, again, first that came to mind, but also because they use the "there are lyrics in this game?" card for totally opposite effects, "Aww, that's so sweet" versus "I think I'm gonna throw up"
Been a huge fan of Calamity since its beginning and that hasn't changed. Been a fan of DM Dokuro since even now I am still always there for his every upload. Even though I have heard this song so many times in-game and not in-game I still can't stop reacting to it like it's my first time hearing it. It's so good.
this song wil always give me a mixed feeling everytime i heard it, we always think that Yharim is indeed evil, but Despite Everything the Tyrant have done (plus all the impact) to the world of Calamity Terraria, he was originally never wanted to become the Bad guy and was only to fight of what it is called "Destiny" upon the fate of his Life and Yharon, and Yharon was saved by the the Tyrant Action and bonded deeply with him, in cost of Yharim becoming the enemy of his family (basically everyone), after Yharim knows what have happen to all the dragons in the past. he wages war againts the gods because of how much he disgusted and hated them, however during his Conquest it also causes imbalance, despair and destruction upon his path and to the Land of Terraria, leading to some event and places u see in calamity. no one stand a chance in his Path and if there is an obstacle, it will be down. and in this song u can hear the Dragon's thought that even Yharon know how far have Yharim has fallen from his grace and that Yharon Will die in this fight with the Terarrian Hero, but no matter of that he will never question Yharim action and will always bow to his will (even in a sense kind of making the players feels bad for trying to kill Yharon, even though it have to be done). Yharon are the only closest one family to him and yet, here we are slaying the Dragon. in the end, The Tyrant Action will Cost something after all. Yharim always put up a Brave,Intimidating and Regalic front to everyone, but in his message to us after killing Yharon, the result of this fight truly Saddened and Scar him for sure. but he also keeping with that *"No Regrets."* Mentality. but honestly yeah, its just mostly sad and melancholic everytime i hear this song. such a wonderful message in a song delivered by Yharon ... *DM DOKURO definitely nailed it*
Every time I hear this song and start singing it to myself, for some reason I just start crying, every time I start crying. This song is so damn powerful. Bravo
1:35 I feel like a godly sounding entrance would make sense here now that you mention it, as from a lore standpoint, if one consumes the soul of an auric dragon like Yharon, one becomes a deity
I love the litemotif to the main calamity theme in this too, best modded terraria song ever written! It's tragic that the Calamity community was so toxic to DM DOKURO, causing him to leave the mod for good. If people didn't rush him, we might be getting more godly songs to this day...
Honestly DM DOKURO has some insane tracks that have completely changed my view on what music I love, but the one theme that changed it all was the theme of The Exo Mechs from Pinpineon. Would 100% recommend that piece of music.
This song was the one I anticipated your reaction to the most. Not only is this my favorite song in the calamity song tracks, what I love most about it is the fact that the song is being sung from the perspective of Yharon, the boss this song plays for. The song is basically Yharon telling Yharim, his master and best friend who is also the final villain of Calamity, that you aka the player will eventually reach him and attempt to kill him. Yharon makes a heroic last stand against the player, trying to stop the player from destroying everything that he and Yharim have built through their lifetimes, but alas, Yharon falls to the hands of the player, leaving Yharim all alone since his only friend is now dead. Roar of the Jungle Dragon is Yharon's final and most noble act of loyalty to his master and friend Yharim as he sacrifices himself for the sake of his master, who saved him when he was young, which just makes the song hit that much harder and make it that much more enjoyable. Personally, I think it's the best song out of all of them. Also,Yharon and Yharim are basically Gods within the Calamity universe, so that's why Yharon's theme has some elemnts in it which make it sound divine or celestial or regal in a way and they are really powerful.
When playing, how epic it is is even greater because before you faced him twice, in the first one he leaves you because you were not a worthy rival, having to invoke an eclipse to improve the equipment, and in the second confrontation after fighting for a while you hear the song reminded you of how far you had come, that the boss who in all games is a challenge says that he can't beat you, being one of the most difficult fights in the game, for me the feeling it gave me was indescribable, I love this song
most boss themes are about how unstoppable and powerful the boss itself is, but not this one. this song is the song of a dragon crying out to his soul brother in a final act of loyalty, telling him how the PLAYER is unbeatable, but no matter how strong the opponent he WILL fight to the end in the name of Yharim
"The enemy ascended beyond your control, or was that all your intention? They have manage to demolish whatever we made, but your failing to comprehend." Damn that was a sick entrance might be one my favorite entrance music in calamity mod.
DM Dokuro is a great vocalist, he did another suberb job in the King for another day tournament where he sang Life will change (vs human after all) and in his remix of Die anywhere else
If you love the Calamity soundtrack, there's a recent one that came out called "Twisted garden - Theme of nameless deity". It's not made by DM DOKURO, but it's an amazing listen! Love your reactions and the freestyle violin at the end 😁
Honestly this song makes me go all out in Yharon's bossfight, listening this for the first time and just knowing that Yharon has phase 2 gives me the aura of "If you don't go all out here, you'll get folded real hard". (I died in the phase 2 but wanting to hear the song further makes me want to have at it again).
This song never fails to make me emotional... even if it's not canon that he's singing it in game, imagining Yharon desperately pleading, trying to save his master and best friend from his fate, even if they both know that it's inevitable by this point... Pretty sure it genuinely made me cry the first time I heard it.
I never heard the full song because i just allways kill Yharon as fast as possble but my favorite part is the beginning the voices just gose in your ears so amazingly LOVE this song
Crucial moment for sure, becuase for the player its either give up or kill the last dragon. Also we need a whole cover of this song even if its just an instrumental.

Yharon is calling out as it is slaughtered by the Terrarian Hero who is an unstoppable force on their way to kill the king.

can't wait to see your reaction to stained, brutal calamity. It's probably my 2nd favorite one behind roar of the jungle dragon
Same bro, both songs slap harder than california rental costs.

The situation Yharon is in:
Bro how did people think this was terrible back in the days? This is amazing!
@@snowpegasi dammm. Really people tought this song was bad? How hypocrite thing. This song it's not just a boss ost, it also tells you a story. The same as metal gear rising, and I don't remember people complaining about it. Poor Dokuro.
All praise aside, it *is* a little cringy.
@@Nepter8248 I mean, it is cringy, but you could say that to almost every other song with pretty cheesy lyrics.
I fucking love this song because it is the only song where the man, the myth, the legend DM DOKURO blesses us with his incredible voice
Tyrant Part 1 has his voice, as does Stained, Brutal Calamity.
stained, brutal calamity from 3:54 to 5:20
The song feels like the magnum opus of Dokuro's calamity soundtrack, and I believe would only be seconded by Stained, Brutal Calamity had the fandom didn't pressure him so much
Can't wait for him to do the next major boss, Stained Brutal Calamity. Supreme Calamitas' theme is the best composed one imo, even if it sounds rushed due to the communty being on DOKURO's back all the time. It's still a phenomenal epic piece with many story layers behind it and its lyrics.
I 100% RECOMMEND you listen to it with Lyrics on the side because the synth choir is hard to understand for those who haven't heard the lyrics before
ah yes, stained cruel calamity, my favourite boss in terraria
It's Stained, Brutal Calamity

I love the part where yharon said "it's roaring time!" And roared my hp away.
I love when yharon roars and teleports on top of me to deal 356 damage putting me on 1 heart! such a fair fight!
@@aniemato it not fair for yharon, because terrarian is either being that progress in power too fast for him, a gigachad that defeat him without scratches, or able to be revived infinite time with no way to stop it revive ability and that being won't stop, yharon can be revive but if yharim die he no longer can
His face when the lyrics kicked in was priceless at 1:20
Every reaction I’ve seen of this song has had that same reaction, including me when I first heard it in-game
The fucking *rush* when you finally hit that intro for the second phase, and goddamn _lyrics_ kick in while you’re fighting for your goddamn life? There’s no way you don’t stop in shock for at least a moment
@@swordsmancs agreed
This song, right here, is the reason i have a Yharon pfp.
Now he's the dragon of rebirth & resplendant pheonix

Yharon with friends is an amazing experience
Okay the violin at the end got my like. You're cool as hell
LETS GOOO! Finally time for the song I still love as my favorite song to this day from Calamity Mod, ever since a few years ago when I first played Calamity Mod back in 1.3 when Supreme Calamitas was still a giant mechanical eye!
THIS IS MY MESSAGE TO MY MASTERRR!

My favorite part is that when listening to the instrumental version of this song, you can still almost "hear" the lyrics.
@@ramyadalwasif2527inferior fabrication is just a place holder while the real one is made it’s the song for infernum mech trio
WE MAKING IT OUT OF THE JUNGLE WITH THIS ONE!!! 🗣🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Now then, reminder the next one also has lyrics.... so...
No more holding back
they wish for demise
They thought they were invincible
But you could see through their hollow lies
You've seen how far they've come
How many they've slain
*You will gladly tear their limbs apart*
*_All before they start to kill again._*
Two examples I can think of off the top of my head from what I've played in the past few years:
"Eyes On Me" - the Ragnarok cockpit scene in Final Fantasy 8
"From a Place of Love" - Library of Ruina
Picked these two cause, again, first that came to mind, but also because they use the "there are lyrics in this game?" card for totally opposite effects, "Aww, that's so sweet" versus "I think I'm gonna throw up"
i had to restart the video half way through cause i was too busy reading the comments
This good man will float when he hears Calamitas
i love this song, was so epic when you finally get 50% hp on yharon and start the vocals
Been a huge fan of Calamity since its beginning and that hasn't changed. Been a fan of DM Dokuro since even now I am still always there for his every upload.

I really like how your face changed during listening. Its one of my favorites. Makes me emotional, despite lyrics not being canon. So beautiful.

You KNOW it's hype when SPG's thumbnail is in green instead of the usual red
this song wil always give me a mixed feeling everytime i heard it, we always think that Yharim is indeed evil, but Despite Everything the Tyrant have done (plus all the impact) to the world of Calamity Terraria, he was originally never wanted to become the Bad guy and was only to fight of what it is called "Destiny" upon the fate of his Life and Yharon, and Yharon was saved by the the Tyrant Action and bonded deeply with him, in cost of Yharim becoming the enemy of his family (basically everyone), after Yharim knows what have happen to all the dragons in the past. he wages war againts the gods because of how much he disgusted and hated them, however during his Conquest it also causes imbalance, despair and destruction upon his path and to the Land of Terraria, leading to some event and places u see in calamity. no one stand a chance in his Path and if there is an obstacle, it will be down.
and in this song u can hear the Dragon's thought that even Yharon know how far have Yharim has fallen from his grace and that Yharon Will die in this fight with the Terarrian Hero, but no matter of that he will never question Yharim action and will always bow to his will (even in a sense kind of making the players feels bad for trying to kill Yharon, even though it have to be done).
*DM DOKURO definitely nailed it*
Thank you for giving all of the calamity masterpieces the props they deserve, keep it up
The air is getting warmer with this one...

Bro I forgot how fire this song is top 3favorite calamity songs for sure
THE TRANSITION FROM THE FIRE CRACKLING TO THE STRONG MUSIC IS JUST PERPLEXING
the final one is on the horizon, supreme calamitas
This song still makes me shiver…until you fight the boss in game. Then you’re just sweating bullets.
He’s growing closer and closer with the Calamity Community every video he makes

When the Lyrics hits during the fight is so damn sick
And the last one is... stained brutal calamity
That's legendary!
Though my personal favorite is stained brutal calamity, this one is unbelievably good too
most boss themes are about how unstoppable and powerful the boss itself is, but not this one. this song is the song of a dragon crying out to his soul brother in a final act of loyalty, telling him how the PLAYER is unbeatable, but no matter how strong the opponent he WILL fight to the end in the name of Yharim

I'm glad you finally got to listen to this masterpiece, it is my favorite song from the Calamity mod.
Hyped for stainted brutal calamity
So epic and hype! A good song to hear your insights about.
What an insane song bro i cant wait till you finish the series off with the next one
This song never fails to make me emotional... even if it's not canon that he's singing it in game, imagining Yharon desperately pleading, trying to save his master and best friend from his fate, even if they both know that it's inevitable by this point... Pretty sure it genuinely made me cry the first time I heard it.
All the lyrics are actually canon now. Yharon is in fact, singing that.
