I would love a career where I can practice what I've studied, Industrial and Organisational Psychology, make a difference in people's lives and contributing to a better workspace.

If you're on the fence and you know it's just the fear holding you back, you're not alone! Fear is never a reason to stay stuck in life. Good luck! I know you'll succeed!

Finding out of it's fear or something else is of major importance, time for a pro's and con's list comparing current situation vs desired situation/job offer.

I never stay committed to a job. If something better comes along I will abandon ship and take that job. I always look for Easy, Friendly and Fun jobs not hard, dull or boring jobs.

I have been working at my current job for three years and dealt with the same low-pay rate, lack of appreciation, and it's frustrating. I'm ready to leave and head to greener pastures

I hated my old job so much that on Sunday nights I'd get so depressed that I'd actually cry.

I hear you. Didn't bring me to tears but it ruined my Sundays thinking about going to work the next day.

Yeah, the only reason that I don't do the same on Sunday is that I now don't care anymore at all about the job.....if they fired me tomorrow I would simply say "thank you".

Really appreciate this video. I was looking to find some reassurance after deciding to pack my first government job in council last week. I have a couple more weeks to go and will miss my amazing team, but due to health issues of my own and the unpredictability of enquires by some incredibly emotional meme bees of the public, had made me feel constantly unwell and anxious every minute of every day that I worked.
My team was amazing and the environment couldn’t have been better. Unfortunately I just needed to put myself first, after realising that my health, wellbeing and empathy for others is what counts. I could certainly be using those skills elsewhere.
All in all thank you for the advice. This video certainly made me realise that resigning for your job doesn’t just automatically make you a failure. Very much appreciated 🙏🏼

    My signs are:
-The work environment is unhealthy which contains toxic boss and coworkers
-the company is about to fail because of the bad bosses actions
-there is no compromise in ethics
-boss not appreciating my improvements and insulting and undervalue me
-boss having favouritism and different acts to workers
-the work creates to much stress and is full of a lot of responsibilities and sometimes I'm not able to fulfill all those responsibilities as they're a lot
-the boss almost beat me twice
-the boss talks behind my back to coworkers and shouts at me in front of coworkers and clients
-I have pianic attacks and stress from going there,i dread going there
-it is affecting me physically and mentally

Wow 14/15 for me! I figure though that all businesses are just as bad and my only way out was either a government job or self-employment

Your job should not make you feel like a slave, don’t ever try to hustle your way out of the day, don’t be over ambitious, no one will ever want to work with you

Got promoted to department trainer. Which was exciting at first because it was similar to being an HR trainer which I am passionate about doing, and also came with a hefty raise. But the fine print was me having to work long hours, and management expecting me to get regular full time duties accomplished on top of spending 8 hours a day training new hires. So how do you know when it's time to quit? When your boss's expectations are too high, they spread you way too thin, then gaslight you for not getting all of your tasks completed, and undervalue your accrued skills and hard work.

My skills are being "overultilized" but in a bad way. No bandwidth to get on to the next level. And its leading to frustration and resentment. Other than that i do have nice colleagues in the office...but just that the leadership is annoying the shits outta me. What turned out to be just a temporary crisis ends up being extended to a couple of years, maybe even indefinitely. Resignation seems like the only way out of this quagmire. I intend to consult a career coach to provide me some guidance on get outta there via better opportunities elsewhere.
