The love and deepness in his spirituality reaching to God by Mauwlana,Balkhi is far greater than any religion or path which is imposed by any specific faith and religion. I think Mawlana reached the love to god and himself far behind anyone can explain it. He shown the love for humanity and each other, humans salvation to God and herself is only to love everything which is created in universe.
Just a short adding to my previous comment. Afghanistan was in fact part of Iran until the early 18th century when it was separated by Mir Wais Hotak. At that time Iran was ruled by Safavids and their governor at Afghanistan was Gurgin khan who was eventually killed by Hotak. Although Afganistan is now an independent country, the persian culture is undoubtedly part of its identity. Even today, a majority of people of Balkh (where Rumi was born) can either speak Persian or understand it.
Molana Jalaluldiin Balkhi,Mowlānā Jalāloddin Balkhi, known in Persia as Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Balkhī and in the West simply as Rumi, was born on September 30, 1207 C. E. in Balkh Province, Afghanistan, then on the eastern edge of the Persian Empire. Rumi descended from a long line of Islamic jurists, theologians, and mystics, ----Afghani" is rarely used as an ethnic term for the Pashtuns,
hahahahahaahahhahahahaha HE WAS NOT AFGHAN SNUT UP! he didn't write in ugly Dari he write in pure farsi, if he wrote in Dari then his poems would be ugly. its Iranian farsi that makes the language poetic and high class
Many years ago I was obsessed with whether Molana was Iranian or not. Thinking you ever what nationality Newton, Columbus or Pythagoras had? Concentrate on what Molana said, instead of what color his "passport" had (if he should have one)
On the Deathbed- Go, rest your head on a pillow, leave me alone; leave me ruined, exhausted from the journey of this night, writhing in a wave of passion till the dawn. Either stay and be forgiving, or, if you like, be cruel and leave. Flee from me, away from trouble; take the path of safety, far from this danger. We have crept into this corner of grief, turning the water wheel with a flow of tears. While a tyrant with a heart of flint slays, and no one says, "Prepare to pay the blood money." Faith in the king comes easily in lovely times, but be faithful now and endure, pale lover. No cure exists for this pain but to die, So why should I say, "Cure this pain"? In a dream last night I saw an ancient one in the garden of love, beckoning with his hand, saying, "Come here." On this path, Love is the emerald, the beautiful green that wards off dragons enough, I am losing myself. If you are a man of learning, read something classic, a history of the human struggle and don't settle for mediocre verse. {Kulliyat-i-Shams 2039} I do not know who translated it, but this could be found on this link: www.khamush.com/poems.html#On%20the%20Deathbed
He was not Abdollah from some where. His work is what he was and it is in persian. So no matter if was born in Afaganistan and now buried in Turkey/Konya. He was not you and me with nationality. His work MY FRIEND! HIS WORK IS IN PERSIAN!
Iranian poetry is infused with the spiritual history of Iran. The most clear example is our father "Cyrus the Great", there are historical evidence that Cyrus lived a spiritual life. You should read Avesta and understand the ways of Zoroastrians. Rumi was an Iranian whose life was influenced directly and indirectly by all these cultural events. Read and study, for example Avesta, Rudaki, Ferdowsi, Omar Khayyam, Baba Tahir, Shams Tabrizi and etc.. You will feel the connection..
I love and appreciate the Dari and Farsi literature and poetry. Amazing poets rose from Afghanistan, Iran, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan who left us their treasures In a language that we all understand and enjoy. I never understood why Some Iranian try to claim everything to be part of Iran. As a note, cities in Northeastern part of Iran, northern parts of Afghanistan and south of Turkmanistan used to be called Khurasan and For some strange reason "some Iranians" claim that to be part of Iran!!!!!! Amateur thinking.

Well, I guess you're confusing several things here. Persian empire and Persia are both historically created by Westerners to refer to the land of Iran, regardless of its size and era. Persia remained as the international name of Iran until 1935, when Reza Shah asked the international community to refer to the country as IRAN. Otherwise, if you check persian literatures, you will notice Iran and its derivatives have been the main terms used to describe this part of the world by its people.
Notice: this is a mistake there is Nothing like Romi, it should be "the last sonnet of Balkhi" his name was and still is "Molana Jalal ol Din Mohamad Balkhi" I'm so supriosed that they choosed this Falke name over the other.

Music belongs to every person that dares to enjoy. I've read more personal strife and hatred about humanity on this music medium as compared to all the poli-sci publications I've read throughout my life. Music doesn't invite hatred, it is the viewers with deep disdain for fellow humans, within their personal dictatorship, that attempt to lower the standard of love for music. To the music and ethnic ministers of the world You have failed!
Yes, while we should celebrate his depth and knowledge, we also should aknowledge the fact that he was born in balkh of Afgjanistan Which was not part of Iran ever!!!, rather the Persian empire's capital was in Khuraasaan which modern day Afgjanistan. Back then there was no such thing as Iran or Afgjanistan. They were one under the Persian Empire. Its wrong for people of Iran to call themselves Persians, Persia was made up several countries back then.
much harder performance is needed for such a powerful lyrics-this is something which is missing in most of Persian performer and shows their weak perceptions.

They still don't know what is going on until kick them in their ass. They fall flat on their faces,ha..ha. they still think they won until they die under the sand. They die in ignorance and believing in lies that they were told centuries ago, unaware that the truth always come out.
