People tend to forget that a lot of the most brilliant minds and personalities in our lifetimes had to go through an ordeal of fire in order to become who they are. As the saying goes: iron sharpens iron. It’s rare nowadays but we used to call it tough love.
I can see why Chef Lee Yeon Bok keeps a good eye on Ji Sun more than Hyungjin. Hyungjin already great (require little effort to achieve greatness) and more competent (even though his confidence (can be seen as a bit arrogant in his actions). While Ji Sun also a good chef, but her cooking is somewhat a lot of time consuming
