People assume that if ur a chef that u automatically know every single cuisine which is not true...chefs continue to learn every single day thats why i admire chef choi..don’t feel bad about chef choi coz at the end of the day he will learn something that will further hone his skills as a chef..
Ramsay is learning new dishes from random people that doesn’t have money or something else. He’s a well known figure but even tho he’s famous he learns from strangers that nobody knows
Agree also they ask to you taste the things so will know how it taste or what kind of taste dish should have and what ingredients should smell or not smell while eating... I'm a cook and one day I'll be chef and i want to visit korea bcz the cusine is so mesmerizing... 😍
Chef Liu and his student who showed at Culinary Class Wars are in the same footage with Chef Choi. Wow. She's the Chinese Cuisine's Goddess. Watching this video at 2024, anybody? 👋
That is the essence of cooking. Never stopping to learn new things to further your cooking skills. Just remember that all great chef's have undergone this trial and for this i salute chef choi.
The attitude of the leader is that they never stop learning, my respect for Chef Choi has been more from now on. He is a true leader and a learner. Really appreciate his positive attitude. He surely will be an amazing success in Chinese cuisines too with such optimism in him.
I know this is all for show, but the hosts and the producers can tone down on the comments. Trying new things should be encouraged and not belittled and made fun of when you don't perfect it in your first try. Cheers to Chef Choi for being so passionate about learning and exploring other fields!🔥
I know it’s for fun and entertainment and blah blah. And I probably get a lot of responses about how this is the host job to make funny remarks or how korean shows usually are but please stop saying why didn’t he give up his seat or saying they have a jobless boss. It’s quite rude. The chef must have felt uncomfortable. Can KBS at least warn the hosts to be polite and funny instead of ridiculously rude and trying to be funny?
Esther Lee Yeah I think they have a script but I don’t think it’s word for word. On the last episode when Hyunmoo was saying that he got fired and he needs a job, I feel like that’s taking too far. you don’t take that to a renown chef for views. It’s kinda like poking jabs at someone when they just got laid off.
These Korean shows are all planned out in advance. They probably already had plans weeks in advance for the different direction Chef Choi was going to take. The MCs were also probably aware of his situation before shown these clips and talked about it with Chef Choi personally. It's a cultural difference on how Koreans interact with each other and talk about sensitive topics like this. It seems rude or shocking to the viewers because to us to seems like the wound is still extremely raw, but to them they're probably at the stage where joking around is acceptable and comfortable for them.
ya i agreee..they keep calling boss yang beggar..1 or 2 time is ok for me..but keep calling him like that is quite rude..we never know someone struggle in their life..he must have his own reason for whatever his doing.
I fell bad for Chef Choi here. In a positive note, it is fun to see Chef Yeo. The way he teased Chef Choi, in another show. They are like this Chef Choi he always kinda teases Chef Yeo and Chef Mikael.😅 Chef Choi, you are talented. Kudos for trying. FIGHTING!!! But, does anyone know the IG name account of Chef Yeongsong?
I dont want any of this boss being replace! Chef choi is funny being himself! If the host want to make people laugh better learn from mrs shim. Their PD have to consider being too rude not fun korea have the highest sucide because of cyber bully. Like mrs shim she dont call boss yang cheapskate or beggar. She dont call chef choi things. She still funny for viewers. Im worry to see next week teaser with the old lady as boss . Please keep chef choi.

Being a chef is also a learning progress. You don’t know where to step into or what course you should take cause it’s too complex. A lot of chefs stays on their specialties cause they are good to it and enjoyed it. And it’s courageous to take on a new level and getting used to it again. It will take years to perfect it and it’s okay to make mistakes cause it’s not easy. Kudos to Chef Choi!
I dont like when hyunmo keep on teasing chef choi. I mean it is too much, he should give some positive word to support chef choi instead treating him like fool. I mean after all he is skilled chef lol. Its normal when u learn new thing and make mistake. Thats what make u great in future .
When it is Ms. Shim's segment they weren't making fun of her, most of the time she was making jokes and everyone agrees with her. Probably because she is older than them, have to show respect.🤷♀️
@@adampilget6158 do you mean choidot restaurant?? the episode before this, he said that choidot belong to a company, not his.. he is currently unemployee.. i guess now he is trying to open a new restaurant with different concept than choidot..
Chef Choi is used to one thing so the fact he is trying something new is very brave of him. Since he has skills for one occupation it’s hard to learn another and get used to another because it’s completely different to what he learned for 25 years. Also the other chef is less experienced than chef Choi so he isn’t set on one thing making learning easier for him aka why he was able to adapt faster because he has to being a less experienced chef needing more information to learn.
I think it’s good for him learning a new cuisine. There are ingredients that I love and hate in both of the cuisines, so fusion will be a good idea 💡 for Customers like me.
KBS is so mean damm, I felt so but for him :(, treat him with more respect. After all everyone have past for bad moments and it's not funny being humiliated.
As someone who is Chinese watching someone who says I want to learn to cook Chinese food, I'm like don't do it. LOL... too many ingredients, too many steps, too many recipes. Haha, your head will definitely be spinning. Also, the secret to good Chinese food is extra, extra, extra high heat which increases the difficulty in making a dish b/c you can easily burn it. The taste changes depending on the level of heat you use and that's why it never tastes the same when you cook Chinese food at home.
