Look at how confident he became. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Also, Chef Lee’s improvisation to customer’s request is admirable. I guess many chefs/cooks might have experience this situation before and it takes experience and skills to overcome such crisis. This is a good example to us as customers to understand that running a kitchen isn’t as easy as ABC and to be considerate to the people trying to serve us foods.

Even if you're older, you can still learn the basics easily - my dad is learning by himself now and can communicate quite well for his age. If I’m going to a foreign country I would definitely prepare and study the basic, use gestures, pictures, and google translate. I wouldn’t make things difficult and expect the waiters to know English, especially in a country where English is not the main language

Pretty sure lmao, was working in China before and will be assigned in sokor probably before 2021, if you often travel Asia you'll notice Filipino English accent easily, unless it's in the US or EU you can differentiate it quite easily, probably cuz Filipinos have their own way of learning english so it comes with a hard accent,

Y’all are quick to judge and spread hate, forgetting that this is tv and all tv is staged lol
Use your common sense, everyone is acting, the foreigners probably speak Korean (how else would they get hired/scouted hm? No one gets filmed for national tv without consent or getting directed on how to act) and the workers definitely speak basic English as this restaurant is SUPER famous and in a hotel area for foreigners. It’s tv, it’s meant to look awkward for dramatic effect
Also, be careful with hating on everything you see online, you never get the full picture. Imagine if it was you in this show and you just act as the directors tell you to and then get hated on? Wouldn’t feel nice would it..

Everyone is mad about the Danes' orders but I honestly don't see the problem.... I used to work in back of house, almost everyday we would get customers that have food allergies or they simply don't like it. For example: Ahi tuna salad without tuna. All we have to do is substitute to another protein that available at hand like grill chicken (after checking with the customer obviously). It's not rude, you personally understand your palate the most. She even asked polite if that's okay since it's a popular dish in that restaurant and they really wanted to try it.

i work in a korean cafe and it’s honestly so ridiculous when customers come in (not all but especially foreigners) customise the menus to hell and back without thinking of the food type itself 😭 i can understand simple things like a change of protein, removing the meat for vegetarians or maybe asking for soft tofu instead of hard- but the amount of times i get people asking for glass noodles to be added in dolsot bibimbab is baffling 😭

Anne Mendoza - it is hard to find because with this skill needs to be paid more. It is good to know basic English or give the English menu with numbers on it. Or bring translator app. But it is not necessary because there tools for it.

the lesson is: you at least should learn about what you gotta eat. searching about the restaurant's name and the menu ingredients is not difficult to do. you can do it while you're planning the trip, especially when you're going to famous restaurants, it would be easier. less hustle and it will help you a lot although you can't speak the language, that you don't have to ask the basic questions.
