ah, yes, the "8724"... the unheard of, red headed step child black sheep of the popular, well known, 8274! (you have an 8274 Jeep Special Equipment version, BTW)
I need the solenoid schematics I’m repairing one for a friend of mine. Really didn’t want to spent over $200 to fix $300 winch i’ll buy fours solenoids and rewire that back to it When I find the schematics
normal solinoids do not work long. the warn solinoids are built to run for long periods of time and a regular starting solinoid is designed for short run times. "I have read"
The old 8274. Best winch ever made.
Also great video,very informative.
Do you have the part number for the solenoid package you purchased from Amazon, I couldn’t find it when I went on line. Thank you JB Canada.
did the warn warranty transfer to you
Thank you!!! Nice vid and very helpful!!!👌
It seems like mine has a ground cable that connects to a bolt or stud off the bottom side of the winch motor.
best location for the motor ground !
someone tapped it because I believe they easily loose ground when grounding to the frame of the winch.
Best thing about them is they hold 150’ of cable!

All you really needed was just a new contactor installed to eliminate the old solenoids, Then you could have used your old remote and box.
I'll take the old junk
