Because the conclusion at the end of the film - that the war between the two sides is never ending and futile - isn’t one the powers that be want heard.

This movie is a hidden masterpiece that nobody seems to ever mention but give it time after everything thats been going on lately!!!! I first saw this back in 2010 & it instantly made me go out & buy a custom grey charcoal suit like Avner wears going after most of his targets!!!! I got nothing but wonderful complements & stares by females for wearing it too❤
To me this is the greatest special forces/government assassin film ever made!!!! Films like Jason Bourn & Jack Reacher & Mission Impossible & 007 & even more accurate films like Clear & Present Danger & Body Of Lies & Safe House & every other CIA/MI6/KGB/Red Faction type movie don't even come close or hold a flame to this banger of a 💎!!!!!

I was at the games two days before the massacre and later landed my helicopter in the spot right next to the one that was blown during the games.

This film is a masterpiece the only thing i don't like about it is that they made up a good portion of it because its a movie ofcorse so they should have just gave us a amazingly violent & action packed ending were the main character dies at the end since its only partially accurate Hollywood film anyways & is already blown out of proportion!!!! All of Spielberg s films usually always end with a huge bang but this chose to stick to the facts at the end which kinda pisses me off considering its ment to be exaggerated but i still love it regardless ❤

I always get chills in that scene when Avner and Ali are talking in the stairwell. The whole movie-- and this is just how I think about it-- is like one man's descent into hell. All along the way he's being offered opportunities to remember what being Jewish should mean, what being righteous should mean, what being human SHOULD mean-- and how all of that can be diluted and confused by a simple idea. And it's like the final nail in the coffin for his soul is when he kills Ali-- because in Ali he really finds himself-- a man thoroughly devoted to his country and his people and will do anything and everything for them. The scene in Greece is where everything just totally falls apart, and everything turns upside down.
This movie isn't a great time, but I try to watch it every once in a while because there's just so much to get out of it. And while it's a really sad story about how awful we can be to one another, I think it's still an optimistic movie because of these scenes where people ARE talking to each other-- because if you stop and listen very closely and cast aside who's "right" and who's "wrong"-- you'll find that we are all the same. No matter what walk of life you're in-- no matter the decisions you've made-- no matter your good deeds or bad-- Home will always mean the same to every single person who walks this Earth-- and THAT there is reason enough for us to drop our guns, forgive each other, forgive ourselves, and find Home in one another, AND within our own selves.
