    Gbenga is a great actor. Its weird seeing his original accent. The fact that he can derive from that and bring out a total different character takes true talent. Look at him in Lottery Ticket. Yes a dumb movie, but it most certainly proves his range. As well as his ability to change his accent.

      It took me years to realize that talented actors are actually great creative artists.

      It's funny cause the first movie I seen him on was lottery ticket and first time I seen the wire I was thinking "that's ole boy from lottery ticket" now I look at lottery ticket like "thats Chris from the wire" 😆

    seeing omar together with marlo is still weird. And especially seeing Jamie Hector not in Marlo's role.

    Marlo was played very well - gave the mystique of a very powerful character - mostly with his silence and actions.

    It bothers me greatly that the people who should see the corrosive effect of economic central planning, welfare, government interventions and one-sided party rule seem oblivious to it. David Simon was asked about that once and said that Reganomics didn't work for Baltimore. I don't think Baltimore is the haven of Republican control that he seems to think...

    • @KiloByte69
      @KiloByte69 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Obamanomics didn't work either. Place is still a shithole after eight years of that despicable administration.

      And it will become 100X worse with the horrible administration we have now with that "Social Media" President who's in office.

      I agree completely. The only critique I would add is the source of all of it - culture/family unit. Not sure which one feeds the other, but it's the one-two punch of a subculture that celebrates criminality *and* rejects legitimacy. No culture is perfect, we all got problems. But when we act like culture is sacrosanct, we can't purge the elements that hold us down. Schools, politicians, police, none of this can solve any of it when it is sourced at the home.
      One thing that would at least help more than anything else is changing how schools are funded. Money should follow the child, not the school. Tax money should come from general tax collection - not property taxes. That's how poor neighborhoods stay poor, for perpetuity. Because their neighborhood wealth funds their schools. That's not right. (Property taxes are morally wrong, actually. But that's another discussion.)

      @@johnlennon6790 I agree with all of this. If you haven't, read Black Rednecks and White Liberals by Thomas Sowell. You can find the audio book on youtube for free.

    Sorry Gbennga, the character Chris was not a sociopath but a ruthless killer. The Stanfield crew was strategic in getting corners and taking out anybody who was a threat. Sociopaths kill for fun and they don't have families or friends whom they love.

    • @c-level676
      @c-level676 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I think he would understand the character better as he's the actor who's playing it

    • @oluwasegunomotara1610

      Chris was a sociopath, he enjoyed his work. Look how watched the life pass through Butchie.

    • @MayaTheColdplayer
      @MayaTheColdplayer 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Sociopaths have a switch, something that can trigger back their emotions (like family in his case), when the switch is off they can't feel anything but rage and anger.

    • @WalterLiddy
      @WalterLiddy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      No, he was a sociopath. There are cases like this, where someone who probably would have been a serial killer anyway ends up working for organized crime. It's a semblance of community but the personality of the killer is such that he'd kill whether the excuse was there or not.

    • @jali1
      @jali1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Anyone can be a sociopath even your standard every day person. You're describing a psychopath. Learn the difference.
