  • Whats up everybody! This video is all about the new Bung King high step crash bar for 18+ softail models with forward or mid controls. The front crash bar does what it sounds like it should, it protects the front section of the bike in case of a crash or if the bike happens to fall over. The assembly in fact, was designed and built for some local stunt riders to protect their bikes as they were learning new tricks and didn't want to destroy their new bikes in the process. The bar features replaceable delrin sliders on the ends to help the bike slide over the pavement as opposed to taking hold of the bike while it is sliding and causing it to highside. A lot of R and D has gone into the exact placement and length of the bar to ensure enough lean angle, so not to impede other types of high speed cornering and still provide the right amount of protection

    Thanks for the upload, your one that I especially wanted to see for the High Step Crash Bar... Thinking that's gonna be my next mod.

    I waited 73 days for my cruise control backorder before stopping by the dealership and checking in. Posted online in a Facebook forum and had It on order and shipped the next day. Call around every dealership and you might just find that hidden gem like I did.

    Had the cruise added to my Softail Standard. Labor was rough - didn’t expect that. All bikes should come with cruise now.

    I have the low crash bar on my LRS from Bungking. I made the mistake of buying a Chinese knockoff on Amazon before I did. The bar was crooked and couldn't be mounted to the frame. The Bungking is perfect and very well made.

    I put the low bars on mine as a foot rest...and I had a low speed drop the other night - just put out a video on my "damage". My bike is essentially perfect right now. worth every penny dude. I will recommend these pegs forever. Side note - a bit of skateboard grip tape on the bars makes them pretty legit as a foot rest.

      I have the same one, low crash bars, and I also have the passenger sliders to protect the bags on my ST. I dropped in the garage by accident and the crash bars protected the bags too. I couldn't believe it. The back sliders never touched the ground.

    Hey Miles. Looking at putting these on my FXBB. Still wondering about the difference between the two step and the “lower” single bar. Your thoughts?

  • @JSpool1

    How much more does it stick out? I’ve been debating this thing over and over about being able to split easily without them instead of with them lol

    How is that crash bar when you’re splitting lanes? Do you have to be more careful is it a lot more wider than without?

    Hey Miles! I’m near Greensboro. Got a ‘22 lowrider S last month and have had my eyes on this particular bar. I saw that comment from 2kanchoo regarding lowering the forks. Hope that person is wrong. I’d be taking it to Down Home HD anyways to have them install the bar. Your thoughts? Love the video man and have subbed!

    • @PutMilesOnIt

      I didn’t have to do anything to the bike to install this high step crash bar. Never had one problem with it either! Thanks for the positive feedback and subbing to the channel 🤙🏼

    • @PutMilesOnIt
      @PutMilesOnIt  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I explained in the video. You can rest your feet on it and it will protect your bike if it falls over.

      @@PutMilesOnIt I apologize, I should have been more specific. I’m trying to make up my mind between a lower bar vs a higher bar. I guess I should have asked, if there were any other benefits or draw backs to the lower bar (other than what was illustrated in the video). Again thank you for the video.

    • @PutMilesOnIt
      @PutMilesOnIt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe it just looks like that in the video! The crash bar is the perfect amount of distance to protect the bike if it goes down and I can rest my feet up on it too. I love that thing

    I just gotta ask? I checked out the new street bob 114 the other day and was quoted 17k and a bunch $ down and high payments and my 2020 iron 883. I have talked to 2 other guys on YT who both got their new Street bobs for MSRP and they said I’m getting shafted. The other dealership in town (yes we have two) quoted 17,600 on a green one. What’s going on???

      Supply is low demand is high. Dealerships are taking advantage right now. Wait till sales slow down like in winter season when riding season ends. Dealers will be hungry and give u a better deal. And a hand job

    A note for the low rider s guys this high bar isn't recomended with 20+ low rider's without lowering the fork tubes 3/8 so it won't hit the front fender under full compression. So says the bunking website and a few others I've talked to that have had it hit their fender.

    • @PutMilesOnIt

      @@PutMilesOnIt One can put it on but with stock front suspension the front fender will hit the bar under full compression. It says right on their website to lower the front fork's 3/8 to make clearance.
