@ Miles: Thank you for this video! I live in Hamburg, Germany. You can literally see HD struggeling with the RevMax platform. The only model you can spot here and there on the road is the Sportster S. I've never seen a Nightster or Nightster Special outside a dealership. Pan Ams maybe 2? The standard Nightster costs 15000 €. The Yamaha MT-09 SP costs 13200 € f.e. and the Honda Hornet 1000 will be a steal in 2025 for just 10300 €. I'm not even sure if the Nightster would sell if it costs 9000 €. Germany loves adventure bikes, naked bikes and Harley Davidsons. The Nightster felt like a slap in the face from HD. They took our beloved Evo Sportsters away from us and the gorgeous Bronx. The Pan Am was liked and a solid 1st try. While the competition got new models the only "major" update the Pan Am got is a quickshifter. What to do apart from cutting the Nightster? Yes, a "Hooligan" would be cool. I feel an extremely slick move would be: Switching the Lowrider / Lowrider ST to the RevMax platform while bringing back the Superglide Sport / Sport Touring on the Softail platform.

I don’t know if they are taking away bikes. The dealership experience is doing a great job chasing away customers.

I was looking at new bikes all year this year. My first bike was a chieftain, and i wanted a fairing mounted bike. I knew i either wanted a harley or an Indian, and decided to test ride both of them. Test rode the pursuit first, and fell in love with it. Told the salesman (who used to work at the harley dealer) that i was going to test ride a road glide and then decide. He told me he'd see me later that day. Test rode the RG. I could see the appeal, but it wasn't for me. Told the salesman that. He asked what else there was, so i said i preffered the pursuit for what i wanted now, but i wasn't a brand loyalist, and would be back when i looked at bikes again. He said he preferred his Polaris vehicles to have 4 wheels. So i told him i preferred my bowling pins to not leak oil, and that i was now a brand loyalist. No one calls a dodge challenger a fiat, or a Rolls-Royce a BMW, so why are people trying to discount the great motorcycles that Indians are making by saying they're just Polaris'? Also, Polaris is an American company known for making high-quality, fun vehicles. Why does every hater talk about it giving new life to an iconic American brand like its a bad thing?

Nice review! The two bikes are identical besides the fairing/handlebar… both are great bikes. I went with the road glide for a little better touring protection (fixed fairing, slightly larger) and rider position (handlebars are higher).

Changing my stock windshield to an 8” on my SGS was a game changer. I sit in a 0 buffeting pocket of comfort.

Got 10,000 plus on mine zero issues….personally I think more comfortable than the step up. Love both.

The PA is such a killer bike. I really hope they don't ax it. Harley has done a piss poor job of introducing their new engine. They have this powerful, new, modern engine and the only serious bike they have put it in is the PA. The Sportster S is such a weird, cartoon looking bike that i really don't even consider it. The nightmare bike is ok, but the gas tank under the seat, the fake tank, the smallest engine, and that horrible looking radiator! The FXLRS, ST, and touring bikes continue to be what Harley takes seriously. The economy is killing bike sales though! I don't see how Harley can continue to focus on super expensive bikes if the economy doesn't change.

I agree with most of the comments here. You were determined not to like the bike before you even road it. ..FYI no horse in this race, I ride a Honda.

All Harley guys makes the same noises. I've owned a Road Glide and Own a Challenger The Indian has better brakes. Way better suspension, I mean like night and day difference. Better electronics and when stock makes better more linear power as well as having a fully water cooled engine. The only thing Harley has over the Indian is the plastic which is a little better but just as much of on the road glide. This wasn't a review it was just harley bias from a guy who scared what his buddies will think of him.

Need a new V Rod

The bikes just don't seem the same since they switched to the M8 in 2018 and it was a huge mistake killing off the real Sportster in 2022.

Is dual exhaust not better to get better performance

I have a street glide and a sportster s. I love both of them. IMO the sportster is a rocket on 2 wheels. Stop sleeping on the rev max engine. HD can make so many great bikes with that engine. Just like people hated on and slept on the vrod and night rod. Now people are finally seeing that it was a grear bike too.

I hope they keep the pan America, its kind of like a big guys Enduro sportster with all the things you can do to it #livefasttakechances

We all knew the new Revmax bikes wouldn't sell. The PA was a hit for a short time because of the latest fade. IMO all those rev max bikes are junk. They make great power but are cheaply made. The bad thing is the MoCo carried over some of the poor quality and fit/finish to the touring bikes. I will stick with my older Harleys with the newest being a 2018 RGS. Harley ruined themselves

Actually, you lose hp with full length, you do gain torque though. Shorter is better for hp

They need the Bronx!! It’s a great name attention grabber, and it will attract young riders! Additionally they need to offer a premium version of the Lowrider ST with the proper fairing light LED stereo system and entertainment. They have to get rid of the Texas instrument calculator on there.

Time in my life to think about a trike . What is your thoughts any changes for the RG3 personally hoping they will go to new style fairing ? Triglide nice but like the RG3 for our needs and the look.

If they build the Rev Max overseas, I think it will hurt sales for those models.

They should bring back the most popular model in Europe, and in my opinion the best Harley Davidson ever made. The sportglide.
