    this is a brilliant format to explain new features. As someone just looking into the Akai Force this video was super helpful too, thank you.

      Glad you like the format. I thought I'd let the Force speak instead of me.

      I just got my Akai Force this weekend and already I have managed to make athe worst techno song in history lol . My Force only has stock sound's . Can I asak if you think it's worth linking my Force to a Splice account to get some better sound's ?

    I’ve been sitting on the fence for a few months on whether to get a Live 2 or a Force. Wasn’t sure about the clip based approach but your demonstrations of the Arranger have been super helpful. The Force looks so much fun and as someone who wants to transition from using the MPC1000 for hip hop beatmaking to a desire to make more dance type music, I think the force looks a awesome and so much fun. Thank you for all your videos. They’re great and super helpful 👊🏻

      I'm glad my videos are helpful. I know that the Force is far from perfect, but there is no DAW or other groovebox that motivated me to create music as much as the Force does. And the most important point is that the process of making music feels like a lot of fun and like being locked in the zone.

      Even in a hiphop sense this arrangement is good. Tracks lined up, change some drum break, sample flips into bridge and hooks

    Dope video! Accidentally watched it on 1.25 speed and heard the 165 bpm version 😂 gotta go back and listen to the original.

      Haha, I played it on 1.25 speed, too, just to check it out... It's definitely too fast for my taste.

    Nice set & transitions! Just moved to a Force from an MPC, so getting over the learning curve of clips 🤣 Akai was pretty good about bug fixes on MPC, so hopefully it's similar for Force

    sieht sehr genial aus.. bin auch gerade am Überlegen ob ich von der MPC One auf die Force wechseln soll. Kommt für mich eher an den Workflow in Ableton ran

    Hi, I owned a force a while ago hoping to record my external gear into audio clips but found it was always slightly of time. Tried to have the force in slave mode when recording but it wouldn't record. Have you tried capturing external audio?

    • @wolfgang_grows
      @wolfgang_grows  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, the clips I recorded were always in sync without any noticeable latency. 20-30% of my clips (especially kick loops) had the clicking problem at the beginning/end of the loop. In that case deactivate timewarp and create a little fade in/fade out. If you do that the loops sound perfect but you shouldn't change the tempo of the project afterwards.

    Is it possible to load selfmade Samples on the Akai Force? I mean sounds i made by myself in Ableton Live

    Very informative. Just waiting to pull the trigger on the AF. Any workarounds for time signatures other than 4/4? I heard that's the deal breaker.

    • @wolfgang_grows
      @wolfgang_grows  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Tank you. It's not really a dealbraker for me since I don't use odd time signatures like 3/4, which you would use, e.g., for a waltz. There are some work-arounds, but they would be too cumbersome to explain them here, though. Maybe I'll make a video about it in the future.

    Great video. How do you put touch fx on the knob?

    • @wolfgang_grows
      @wolfgang_grows  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. You go into the knobs macro menu and activate the learn function. Then you go back to the touch fx and assign every parameter you like to the respective knobs.

    Hi Wolfgang!
    Very nice video, thank you!!
    Have you found a way to record this kind of sets in a way that you have all the synths, basses, percs, etc as separate audio tracks?

    • @wolfgang_grows
      @wolfgang_grows  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks a lot.
      So far, recording every single track at the same time is only possible with an additional usb audio interface or digital mixer like the Tascam 12 that support many different channels. However, I hear that there are some issues with these devices since the new 3.2 update came out.

    • @RamziAttia
      @RamziAttia ปีที่แล้ว

      @@wolfgang_grows Thank you for the quick answer!
      I really do not undertand why there is no easy way to record this kind of live sets!
      For example in maschine mk3 there was 16 digital outputs and you could just assign groups or singular sounds to each of the output and record it live in a DAW...
      Hope AKAI will do something about that!
      many thanks bro!

    Can you transferyour performance to ableton or how do you record it to ableton?

    • @wolfgang_grows
      @wolfgang_grows  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you can export the performance as an Ableton project or you can record it directly into Ableton.

    Very nice performance ! How much tracks do u have in 1 project ?

    • @wolfgang_grows
      @wolfgang_grows  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, your performances are great, too. In this project there are four tracks. The maximum amount of tracks I have ever managed to fit in one project are 14.

    • @Raqis
      @Raqis 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@wolfgang_grows Thanks to you too. Have you ever had problems with too many tracks in a project? I read that there can be a maximum of 128 rows and 128 channels per project? What about the stability?

    • @wolfgang_grows
      @wolfgang_grows  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Raqis I can only tell you that my largest project consisted of 112 rows/scenes and 67 channels/tracks (plugins, audio tracks, key groups and drum groups). Memory and processing power was between 50 and 65% without any warnings and audio drop outs. However, when I tried more than six instances of Fabric XL recently, I received a memory warning at 78 % of memory usage. Other newer plugins like op-x4 don't cause any problems.

    • @Raqis
      @Raqis 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@wolfgang_grows Thanks for the experience report! So small sets go then probably problem-free, but so a 4 hour set is then already critical. The best and most expensive solution is and remains probably a 2nd Force ;)

  • @Noise-Conductor
    @Noise-Conductor ปีที่แล้ว

    You know that you can move by 8 tracks/scenes by holding shift.

    • @wolfgang_grows
      @wolfgang_grows  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I know. If you watch my older videos, you can see me using the button combo sometimes. However, it helps me not to lose the overview of upcoming parts of my tracks so that I can apply the right effects at the right time when it comes to bringing in or fading out certain elements. Thanks anyway. Maybe your tip is helpful for others.

      After they have implemented so many new awesome features, it's time for them to focus on bug fixes!

    • @binarysun_
      @binarysun_ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think InMusic does not do it below three major issues. And regarding bugfixes I think their rule is „Three new bugs for every one fixed“ 😉
      Anyway. Love my MPC, love my force, love your mix ✌️cheers
