Yes Heather, I'm 67 and I agree with your list of items to stop buying. I've implemented most of these already. I learned a long time ago that when it comes to anything that gives me pause when considering a purchase, I take a day or a few days and sleep on it. After some consideration, if' I'm still wanting the piece and it fills a void in my capsule wardrobe, I'll make the effort to go get it. If it's gone, it just wasn't meant to be. I can live with that outcome easier than the regrets of a knee jerk purchase. This is true for me in various aspects of my life as well, including relationships. Think things through (including the cost per wear for clothing or the effect on someone whom I have a relationship with), assess my options, then react. All too often we don't give ourselves enough time to process things the way we really need to. Life continuously pulls us in so many different directions, that sometimes we think "I just need to make this decision and get on with life." But, being short sided in certain matters, can be an expensive lesson in life. In clothing, it's only a given purchase, but when it comes to relationships I try to remember to leave an individual better off than I found them. These guiding principals have served me well over the years. Wishing you the best in your new journey.
Heather, you add so much joy to my life you abound with so many delightful and definitely professional ideas that incorporate the whole outfit. It just overwhelms my soul and makes me feel so joyful and adds a bounce to my step. I am feeling relief because I can tell you are feeling better. Omg ❤ this ... in the back of my mind I know all these tips already but hearing you say them and still able to look incredibly fabulous just gets me so excited to make some positive changes! I think for me personally buying what I don’t need is just FOMO (fear of missing out lol) and at 53 I just need some confidence not unnecessary baggage :)
I purchased the Express mid rise skyscraper with slit & they are so soft & so comfortable. I bought another pair -distressed for a fun day. They hold their shape. Thank you for the recommendation.
For some, a $20 bodysuit is expensive. I’m 60. I don’t buy items to last forever. Just for as long as I’m liking them. I am lucky to be able to go to Europe a few times a year for a month or two. Have so much fun buying what’s new in stores. Never expecting to wear for more than a season or two. The joy I get is priceless. I much prefer European fashion.

Love this! I am going to purchase both bags you shown us! I love the look! I won't be buying cheap cars! Nothing worse than a car that breaks down! I despise that!!! So only Lexus, BMW, or Mercedes! Even if they are not straight off the sales floor, a year or two older does not decrease their value. I won't be buying cheap - or fast food! No more cheap food!❤ Love this vid!

Heather can I know what bag Kathy is carrying, please? Love that! I need a tad bigger bag because I always have sunglasses and some of those cases can be big, especially ones like Chanel, etc. Also, I was wondering if maybe you could help me or know what we can do with our old bags that consignment shops will not accept because maybe the inside lining of the bag has pen mark or makeup stains or something like that? Great explanations regarding your personal “ whys” of not making future purchases. However , those of us who have watched your channel know you don’t buy some these things in the first place ( e.g. linen, prints, loud colors) and have indicated as such in previous videos. I'm so guilty of buying things just because they're a "great deal". Now I ask myself "would I choose to wear this item over everything else I own?" and if the answer is no then I don't buy it. But as far as sales go, I rarely buy things at full price. Everything goes on sale eventually. 😁

I only wear jeans maybe once every few months unless I’m riding my horses… I have a corporate job & would never wear jeans to work.
In Australia the style is to only wear jeans to a breakfast or the pub to watch a footy game..If it was lunch or dinner we would definitely wear a dress or matching set ❤
