I find double reactions are helpful especially for the reactor if they don't know the original song, like in this instance. This cover is special because Mitch does with only his voice what Kiiara needed mixing gear and whatnot for. I wish I knew how long it took Mitch to learn to do this.
Thank you for your support! Earlier sometimes I watched original videos/songs before I record PTX reaction. Then I asked myself why I don`t record the whole process with the original song? 😊

Mad World might even be good for a triple reaction. Then Gary Jules' cover has a different sound and has been in a lot of movies and TV shows, and that is the version that PTX follows.
Love it. Going from "please be over" to "noooo, it can't be over" is entirely me.
I don't care for Kiiara's song much either... it's good through a verse or two then it's, yeah, kinda boring. But it's essential to know the original to appreciate the PTX version to the fullest. I mean, props to them for even recognizing this could be a great cover. It's one of my absolute favorites. Mitch, Mitch, Mitch 😍
I hate the Kiara version and love the PTX version. The beauty of PTX is that they constructed an amazing recreation of the popular song. Mitch singing the chorus in the song is vocal genius. Few could keep up with him and his vocal range, talent and flexibility.
This is masterpiece. I recommend another " La la latch"(Sam Smith/Disclosure/Naughty Boy Mashup), and something special Mitch Grassi "Your Power" (Billie Eilish cover) with Mitch`s music. He played himself and mixed.

Almost always. I can't say I'm a fan of their cover of Gangnam Style. Of course, I don't like any cover of Gangnam Style. It's so incredibly cringeworthy that only the original artist can pull it off.

Double reactions are good. I had never heard nor watched Kiara before. I didn't like it either, but the PTX version is one of my favorites by them.
I agree with your reaction 100%! PTX brought an energy to this song, that just wasn't there in the original version. You can always count on this amazing group to put their own spin on covers and make them feel entirely different.
The Mitch voice makes a lot of people happy. ;) What is so mesmerizing is to see and hear what they can do with their covers. If you want suggestions of double reaction, I think they did amazing with their cover of Valentine and Come Along. When you listen to the originals, you wonder what the heck they will do with it. I think, most of all, they have fun with it. Great reaction video, thanks. 🤗

As you hear from Kiiara's original, she couldn't even sing her own song without electronic tricks and editing. Pentatonix didn't just cover this song, they UPGRADED it! About 1000% better than the really awful original.

I TOTALLY agree, PTX does this song SOOOOOOO much better because they use only their voices and NOT electronics to make the music. You can actually hear the words.

I heard the PTX version and loved it. Finally went to the original and wondered how the heck they heard anything salvageable in that song.

I like the double reactions, sometimes I have never heard the original. Always nice to give a fair comparison.... although not sure if it is a fair comparison because PTX is ALWAYS better! LOL
First time I have seen a double reaction. I am with you on the original, I don't care for the original, but I live the PTX cover.
Mitch provides that ethereal vibe that the song needs, but the group as a whole, has a more organic sound.

Yeah, PTX are musical magicians. They take popular songs, turn them inside out, season them, and add a pinch of pixie glitter before sending out their version that makes the original sound like something plunked out on an 80’s Casio keyboard. 😏

I feel sorry for whomever they cover because they make it their own and it is usually better!
The original suffered from poor structure. It felt too repetitive and one-note--as you pointed out. But PTX infused variability in beat and dynamics and even in adding variations on the main theme at the end. And of course, they sing/perform it impeccably. The result, EVERYONE wants it to go on longer.
I think it’s important to know the original. If you don’t know it, I think double reaction is appropriate.
As a viewer, I look for the reactor to share comments, compare-not necessarily say one is better but share your thoughts. If you haven’t heard the original to a cover, it kind of loses its luster. Make sense?

This is the first time hearing the original. I've heard PTX a million times. I agree with you, I really don't like Kiiara's version. I was more annoyed with her effects.

It's easier to understand because you can see their mouths saying the words. I think that helps you as English is not your native language.
