My daughter met the guys in the band. Her favorite is Justin. She took hours painting a replica album cover to show them, and they all autographed it, and made my daughter feel like a million bucks, they also killed it live! Sensational composition here! Hats off to them! Can't wait to see them again in October!
The new album is what I’ve always wanted from tech death. Most tech death is more of a display of technique and speed and the music comes second. Or it’s just 500 riffs thrown together. This album has a strong balance of melody to groove. There aren’t many riffs that seem like they were thrush in as transitions. This album feels intentional
2nd best song on the album imo. -(2:24) beautiful "chorus"! -(3:18) TASTY first solo! (4:58) what a MAGICAL climax with the synth! (5:25) BEST SOLO ON THE ALBUM! Those aren't bends, those are soaring screams from a mountaintop!
@@robr9170 Deletion Cult is my favourite - fast tech death with hyper melodic riffs is my favourite genre ever, and I LOVE the interplay between synth and guitar on that awesome main riff! And then those intense percusive riffs during the verses (like Algorithmic Salvation on speed), it's so powerful while also having moments that slow down the pace and add atmosphere.
Just saw them live for the first time last Friday and it was one of the best performances I have seen in years, they absolutely killed it. They're so tight live, cannot wait to see them again.
I hope one day Muhammad finds that album in his drive and uploads it.. nothing quite as good as their 2 album discography.. but damn if Zenith hasn't created another world of their own.. So much respect for these guys!!
As far as I know, Justin McKinney is responsible for basically ALL of the TZP work that exists. Almosy every note and every beat, and often times lyrics. I've never heard anyone composing songs like this - truly pushing the limit and killing it. Fantastic work - this is timeless music. Edit: edited to reflect that Justin didn't write this song specifically actually. Edit 2: So, apparently ALL of TZP is insanely talented. Like I said, household name within a decade if they keep this kind of work up IMO!
@@_mattybat666_ thanks for correcting me! I edited my comment to make more sense to reality. They're all insanely talented, I really think they'll be a household name like Metallica by the end of the decade, along with some other great bands out now. Metal seems to finally be getting its well deserved recognition and pretty quickly stepping into the limelight. These talents deserve it.
Thanks dude! Justin wrote all the music on Datalysium with the exception of Divinertia II and Deletion Cult which Chris had helped with some writing. All Lyrics are by Derek Rydquist.
@@TheZenithPassage thanks for the correction! I edited again to reflect. You guys are sick and deserve all the success that I hope is coming your way - I miss catching the livestreams! Btw I'm putting the finishing touch on my own fitness/martial arts business. I specifically use only metal music during training with my few clients now and TZP is featured on the Playlist every session. They love it! I'm hoping to have my few students now grow to hundreds of students of all ages in the coming few years, all getting proper training while listening to the best that music has to offer - super talented and mostly metal with great lyrics and messages (TZP, Tesseract, The Dali Thundering Concept, Periphery, Meshuggah, Born of Osiris, Persefone, Leprous, Angel Vivaldi, Animals As Leaders, but also Sabrina Claudio, Alina Baraz, Phantogtam, etc, for stretching - its all about the rhythm, energy, and lyrics). Down the line I also plan to reach out to you all, and a few other bands I expose my students to, to see about getting you all to write stuff specifically for this fitness business, as a way I can really directly support the musicians I love and who I know how hard they're grinding to do what they're doing. But that's down the road! Good luck to you all!
It's beyond worth the almost 7 years of waiting for this album. Justin and the boys managed to write an instant classic album! Congratulations boys, faith in metal restored.
I never realized just how much 'aliens and sci-fi metal' I listened to, till I looked through my playlist - The Zenith Passage, Scar Symmetry, Rings of Saturn, Cynic, The Faceless, Mechina, Obscura, Sybreed, BTBAM, The Contortionist, Archspire, and Ophidian I
Love how the lights are synchronized with the music. Feels like a trippy planetarium visit. Love it! This one and "Synaptic Depravation" are my favorites so far. TZP is becoming my favorite band these days. Hats off! Beautiful song and video.
TZP started as a small tech death band slowly becoming some of the best hands down!! this album was insanely creative! sad i missed the recent tour i hope they play back again!
@@Cbuzz1399 unfortunately yeah, he hasn't directly announced it though. Happened back in November 2021. It's definitely why he was fucked up last year while touring.
Best song on the album. That chorus groove and vocals are fucking insanely catchy. Whole album was a slow burn for me, it didn't immediately click but now I can't stop listening to it. Great job guys.
Bought this album early at one of your shows. No other album hit me like this one did off first listen. The piano at the end gives me chills every time. Absolutely incredible. Hats off to you gents.
Listened to this album twice so far. It's instantly a Tech Death classic for me. Saw them play a couple months ago, and fuck do they put on a hell of a show. If you get the chance to see them, dont pass it up. These guys killing it.
Great job on the album, guys -- I'm still working through picking it apart, which is always a good sign! I have to say, you're one of the few bands in recent memory that has pushed into more progressive terrority without losing the core of your sound; it genuinely feels like a synthesis of all that you've learned in the past 7 years. I'm excited for the future of The Zenith Passage -- take a well deserved rest!
you guys are great, you have carved out a specific sound and style which I'm sure is very hard but very real. its so refreshing to listen to, thanks so much
This is so fucking good. Everything on every level. The music, lyrics and the video. Love watching Derek throw his arms around, he's one of my favorite frontmen. Can't say enough nice things!
Excellent material, this band has a GENUINE essence, well-rooted in constant evolution. It’s a great contribution to humanity with music and lyrics that foster new horizons. It’s also important to MENTION that the atmospheres Zenith creates are mind-blowing; at times, they transport me to their vision, their interpretation, and manifestation. Congratulations to the members and their connection with spectrums. “The limits of my language mean the limits of my WORLD” - Ludwig Wittgenstein
Okay, that is fucking great. I was afraid that this "Technical Death Metal" was just more off this boring technical deathcore stuff than traditional Death Metal. Love it so fucking much. Damn. Thank you guys :D \m/
Saw y'all live with Enterprise Earth and Fallujah recently. Glad I was able to go to that concert. Very nice work fellas. Look forward to seeing you again. 🤘
The faceless lost a great vocalist hehe. And now he's in the best tech death band today! J with Derek are taking The Zenith Passage to a heavenly level!

Music: McKinney Lyrics: Rydquist
Patiently, it awaits
Biding time, drifting away
The design taking shape
To condense its domain
An initiative instilling all things to bring on their own finality
To escape decay, transmute the bases and transcend
Bound disorderly, architecting the means to their end
Reorganizing into salient, definitive manifestation
Conceit is passed from the prime source
Material motivation
Salvation is promised comfort
Immaterial curation
All progression is a machination of amalgamation
Conglomerating the Anthropocene’s futile history
Human achievement - a system function reduced, nonexistent
To escape decay, transmute the bases and transcend
Bound disorderly, architecting the means to their end
Reorganizing into salient, definitive manifestation
Enveloped in a spectrum of diversion
The unity that they seek serves not the peace they envision
Conceit is passed from the prime source
Material motivation
Salvation is promised comfort
Immaterial curation
All progression is a machination of amalgamation
Free to worship at the altar of perceived choice
Be it man or beast or machine or what comes after
None are their own master
All will become absorbed, returned to the source
can we get the lyrics for cult deletion and the other songs? impossible to find

Described my thoughts exactly. Groove is sorely missing from most tech bands.
It 100% feels composed rather than just hard to play
Great observation. This is likely why i am so picky with my tech death bands, as only a few compose.
This album is just incredible and a video to go with it🔥🔥🔥
One of the greatest tech death releases of recent times!
