- Hello and welcome to another OMSI 2 video!
So I've been sent another beta map from the brilliant map creator Dazza1980! This is the person behind the legendary Bowdenham V4.0 which brought so many of us including myself so many hours of joy back before British buses were introduced to OMSI, and now he's back with a RHD/Left Path conversion!
So what are we going to be doing today? Well we'll be driving my favourite route of all time from Bowdenham V4.0, the route 50! Well... it's the route B6 now, and it runs from Barton Lido up towards Birch Estate. A real "round the houses" kind of route!

OMSI 2 makes a Goose very happy.
The thing with it becoming London-themed is that it doesn't really work. The previous versions of Bowdenham felt like what they were, but this doesn't feel at all London-ish, no matter how many black cabs and red buses there are. I'm not really sure what his motivation for this was, but I feel like it does the map a disservice, particularly when most UK maps seem to be in the south anyway. I suspect it's because he may be using buildings from London, so to require the addon for a Yorkshire-themed map might feel wrong?
That's really the only drawback with this map, though - I've always been a fan of it, and to see it refreshed to keep it current is good to see.
Honestly it's an absolutely delightful map to drive, and brings back many happy memories the more that I explore.
I completely agree, I did say to him that as a proud northerner I found the London conversion totally unacceptable haha :D Though what you say does make sense about the London assets! I'll have to ask haha
Well to be honest, the whole reason the map is now London based is because I am a Londoner myself and at the time of creating Bowdenham V1-4 there was very little assets out there that would have worked well as London based map. I do appreciate that this may not be to everyone’s likening, hence why I included regional routes to try and appease the masses!
Map making is a passion, and the draw of coming back to OMSI for me was the fact I could do what I always wanted, a London map. Many creators don’t finish and release maps because it’s a huge amount of time and effort to make something worthwhile. That passion must be there to make something successful.
I hope this answer things for you, and I hope you are able to get some enjoyment out of this new version.

I only have a small issue with the map being the announcements for the routes involving London buses, I would've liked the AOL style announcements included in those routes but maybe it wouldn't be possible to do so. Will the Chronos make a comeback?
You probably would be happy because I am planning to change it back to Arriva and Stagecoach and First once it's released.
We just need some talented people to make some 80s/90s buses and we can go back through the years again

Well isn't that just a blast from the past! 😃 I understand the limits now with regards to the old Chrono system in V4, we just dont have enough older RHD buses, but can you imagine it With that? First Yorkshire Renowns and Arriva Spectras passing Stagecoach stripey ALX400s 🥰 All we need now is a good old Dennis Dart for omsi!
I am very much looking forward to this release, Bowdenham V4 was the first Map I downloaded and played for hours on end every day especially during lockdown.

yeah the bus stops are the same, even surprised its still using the original announcements. only know because been binging Bowdenham recently, it's sooo good
Sorry about the announcements. It was something I wanted to do, but I have very little time of late. Somethings I had to leave out. Hopefully someone talented will be able to some new ones when the map comes out

Did you know how you say you're going to cover old 23 routes economist it to an all about like 10 videos in two of them duplicated do would take 12 but please carry on doing OMSI 2 I'm looking forward because this is one of the orgy and good map bottom glad to see this is actually made into a UK map now😊😊😊

When are you running you were Truck 2 back cos I kind of miss it from your channel and you're not very good at OMSI 2 anymore I've seen most of this because he did say Joe have invited but I think he forgot indeedy forgot what I'm glad you're back to make an OMSI 2 can you please play you were Truck 2 sometime soon😊😊😊😊😊

Hi Joe, Is there anyway that can make the info lines in a bigger font? My eyesight is not the best and I struggle with the info lines.

Hey i forgot to comment, when your textures go white (like they did when you were driving line 300) do the same thing you do for the red text you know? The win + L, sometimes it works and reloads the textures
you can also ctrl+alt+del to reload them
