Hello all. Just to clarify on the 3rd float setup. It can be dangerous as you can get the line caught on the reef, so do it at your own risk. The only reason I mentioned this option is because iv'e experienced first hand the struggles of trying to find someone lost at sea.
Bro that always happens to me because out here in jamaica we don't use flogs on out floats and when you are behind the waves its's really hard to see your mate's floats.
I found you videos because of your homemade wood spear gun and I really enjoy your videos. I live in Germany and sadly it is not possible to go diving in the ocean very often except for the holidays. Channels like yours Daniel Manns or Ryan Myers are so much fun to watch because you can see somebody living your dream. Keep up your great work. :)
Great post, one thing I feel is very important about this specific float is to mention it also has a great life saving capability, either for yourself or a fellow diver, you can rest or treat any casualties, I have been in this type of situation with a very small inflatable...👍🏻
Very true, they are good bits of kit! Thank you for taking part and sorry you didn't win anything this time. I will be doing another giveaway at 20k subs. Hopefully you will win something next time!

I just started spear fishing with a gun and some really old flippers so this could help me a lot. But if there is anyone else who needs it more then give it to them. Congrats on the 12k subs.
Glad it was recovered ey! Thank you for taking part and sorry you didn't win anything this time. I will be doing another giveaway at 20k subs. Hopefully you will win something next time!
Hi i have a question. I have salvimar metal 75cm before i used the gun with small reel after this reel broken i change it but i fix vertical reel little big but the problem now after me shooting the gun not flouting it's go down. What can i do ?
Is water getting inside the gun? That may cause it to sink. Other than that the only thing I can advise is too attach the gun to your float line that way even if it sinks you will never loose the gun or the fish
Very unwise to attach the gun to yourself - the spear can get jammed in rocks etc when you fire it, and then you're in trouble. Easiest place to start is to attach the float to your gun
Does using the bouy line act as a reel if I don’t have a reel? Can I let go of the gun and it will pull my gun and I still have controll of the gun pulling the bouy?
Fishing is probably the only thing I'm looking forward ti getting back out and doing when we exit lockdown. Gets me some piece and quiet from the other half 😂
Congratulations, keep up the good work! Shared on social media, and sat with fingers crossed, would love the extra pennies to get some kit and get out there as soon as lockdown is over!! 🤞
Thank you for taking part and sorry you didn't win anything this time. I will be doing another giveaway at 20k subs. Hopefully you will win something next time!
Very helpful info. I am just starting in spearfishing and videos like this are great. That is an awesome float! Can the net be kept in the water, to keep the crayfish/lobsters out of the sun and away from sea gulls? What about having some sort of loop on your belt, with the float line running through it attached on either end to your gun and float? That way you can move freely up and down the float line and you can't drift away from the line. (I've shared on FB)
It can be found in my description, great float. Yes, the net can be stored in the water hanging from the float. Depending where you are in the world this could attract sharks but i like it all tucked away so nothing gets tangles up. Attaching the line to your body has its risks as the line could get caught on the bottom. Thats why i suggested that you always have access to the clip on the front of you're belt.
@@TheOutdoor_Guy I recently spoke to a gentleman who has been a spearo for 30 years here in South Africa. I got a lot of great advice. He also said (tounge in cheek) that a person who worries about sharks will never spearfish 😂 I was genuinely more concerned about losing crayfish (rock lobster) to sea gulls! Thanks again for the great advice! This is a great channel!
