It's possible that the solder was so stubborn because of the electrolyte that leaked onto it. Guess it's a chemical reaction or something but the solder becomes a real pain to work on. Replacing the other caps might help, but it might also help to soak and clean with vinegar, then soapy warm water, and rinse with alcohol. That should get rid of the electrolyte which is conductive and can cause all kinds of weird issues. Although that card is pretty "new", usually this method is only necessary on real old stuff.

I did rinse the area with alcohol but didn't try the vinegar. That might help.
Just makes me appreciate how much I won the lottery back then with a Phenom II 955 that could hit 4.4ghz stable.

What voltage did you use? You might've just gotten really unlucky with the silicon lottery unfortunately.
@@NTGTechnology I went up to 1.4 didnt want to go any higher. I think my gigabyte board was the issue.
Caps are almost never the issue, it's BGA failure.
