  • @VoGusProspecting
    @VoGusProspecting  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Just remember, what you see in this video is a very, tiny, miniscule part of what happens during the day.
    We do A LOT of mining. We talk with many industry leading manufacturers about equipment tweaking and other miners to get the best possible results with what we have. We don't have every tool, land access or other things at our disposal, we make do.
    The video is a production based around days or weeks of planning and research, with just the absolute bare minimum important information in it for you.
    So before leaving a nasty comment that I have to delete or having a knee jerk reaction to something included in the film and wig out in the comments section, just pause.
    We have probably thought about it already, we have likely taken the thing into account, in all probability we are showing you what matters with the fluff removed.
    Now I'm all for constructive feedback, that helps us all. Just make sure to keep it clean and to the facts, not personally attacking me or others in the comments.
    That's a quick way to get yourself the boot.
    Lots of love.
    Xoxo

      "I am the shipwreck with its scattered and soaked wood littering the ocean like a nest of roaches. The water smothers me patiently, and it waits to feel my body on the ocean floor. I am the captain. I stand on my ship, never leaving its side, for tonight I sleep in a sharks stomach. The tears and rain both hit my face, as I lay on the deck and wait to drown. I am thunder. Hear me roar as I deafen all. I conduct my orchestra as loud as possible and conclude with a violent smash. I am washing the splinters from within my heart and I scream as it pumps. I let my lungs fill with water as the broken bath tub leaks. Let the clouds be Witnesses"

    Seems like the water is crashing over those huge riffles. Wonder if it's scooping out the contents. Maybe either shorter riffles for the water flow, or up the flow to ensure the low pressure area behind - then flared out to your exp. metal / mats.. ??

    I went out for my first time on the weekend and found a picker using my minelab pan kit. I spent $30 in diesel and found $5 worth of gold. it’s 100% not about the money. I spent a few hours out in nature with my dad and had a absolute blast. My excitement at finding a tiny piece of gold was quite funny haha
    Already planing my next trip this weekend hehe
    And the wife likes this new hobby because, well what women doesn’t like gold. Just don’t tell her it’s going to take 10 years to find enough to make a ring 😂🤣
    Goto thank you Chris for the tips. I only watched your videos on crevicing and immediately found some likely spots and got some gold.

    You might want to consider 1 flap in each sluice section to break the surface tension. It would be an easy, cheap fix to improve your recovery (in addition to pushing dry material into a wet pit to 'wet' it). As you likely know, Gold Hog highbankers use such a flap as do some Gold Rat highbankers. Great recovery of fine stuff either way!

    • @VoGusProspecting
      @VoGusProspecting  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you watch the background you will see such a pit in use. The top layer however had to be run dry to dig the pit.

    • @danhodgins4015
      @danhodgins4015 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VoGusProspecting - for sure. My point was more around adding a rubber flap to your sluices to break surface tension for that ultra fine gold. Wife and I just had a baby, so I have to live vicariously through folks like you for now!

    Awesome well done fellas

  • @nessasarahlee3298
    @nessasarahlee3298 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The gold won't float because the surface tension is broken.
    If it's blowing gold out it may be because of turbulence which doesn't allow the small stuff to settle low enough in the water column to be captured.
    A solution for this is slick sections & or the use of the "mudflap" to calm the water down 👍🏼

    If the gold is that fine, why not bring a big plastic tub? place it between your dig and the high banker with some water and jet dry. Dig to the tun and when the tub fills with the dirt & rock to run. Just goto the sluice. It should at least get more of the fine gold to drop if coated with the jet dry first. Just a thought.

      The jet dry is misunderstood by many, it's not actually making gold drop out. What is doing is breaking surface tension on the water. Therefore the gold or any other fine powder mineral has to be out of the water then scooped up by water coming back lifting it with tension. If you put dirt in a bucket and then drop the material in water you are dropping the dirt directly in the water which 99.9% of all material is not effected by the tension .
