    GREAT VIDEO! I've been watching videos on pulling a 5.3 and stumbled across yours. It's by far more thorough than any I've seen so far. Some of the videos have complete idiots trying to show how to do something that you explain in a very simple way. I can tell you know what you're doing just by the way you explain things. I'm subscribed and look forward to more videos and good luck growing your channel.

      I'm in literally exactly the same situation right now. 5.3 out of a suburban and this is by far the best video out there.

    Thank you for this. Just successfully pulled a drivetrain out of an 03 Denali for an S10 swap. Only thing different from what you described was the ABS wiring did not need to be cut. Also, what a bear getting that transfer case out over the front crossmember and then the steering box. Would have been much easier with 2 people, by myself it did get done it just took a little encouragement. Still, all in all it was only about a 10hr job. Thanks again !

      I'm pulling mine from a 02 Escalade for a S10 swap 💪🏾. I'd like to know how it all went. Mines a high miler but runs smooth as butter. Been getting synthetic every 3-4000mi since 30k

    I’ve recovered couple of these engines . You don’t have to pull the core support off. As long as you use a 2 ton engine remover it will work.

      Its 6 bolts and makes pulling an engine and trans a lot easier.

    Hi I was just wondering I broke the bolt for the motor mount like the head snapped off will the motor still come out or do I have to extract thanks it's the same motor and year as the in video

      Yes the Engine will come out just fine, I've broke I don't know how many and they come out just fine

    Hey man, where would you hook up the lift leveler on the engine ?..I'm trying to use the front of the heads but can't find bolts that fit

    • @TanTinPerformance
      @TanTinPerformance  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I use the bolt holes on the front of the head, you can use the engine mount bolts they should be the right thread pitch

    Hello I have a 2003 suburban that I’m going to remove the engine and put it into 1999 Sierra that the throttle is cable the suburban has the tac pedal do I need to do any changes or just replace the pedal and the module?

    • @tantintune
      @tantintune ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on if your using the Sierra harness and pcm

    • @tantintune
      @tantintune ปีที่แล้ว

      If your using the stuff in the Sierra you can just swap the throttle body out with the drive by cable, you might have a vacuum port in the throttle in the way of the one on the 03 and up intake. It may need to be cut off and plugged

    • @MrCamaroz28ss
      @MrCamaroz28ss ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m planning to use the suburban, PCM and the harness So do i just remove the throttle pedal and tac to the sierra?

    • @tantintune
      @tantintune ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MrCamaroz28ss your going to modify your harness in the 99 Sierra, in 2003 gm changed a lot in the wiring, the easiest way would be to swap body control modules and dash harness along with the steering column and cluster, havc controls. It’s not a easy or fun swap, running the 99 pcm and harness would be way more straightforward.

    • @MrCamaroz28ss
      @MrCamaroz28ss ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t think I want to do all that so the easiest way is to swap the throttlebody right and use the Sierra pcm and harness correct?

    But yeah

  • @joejoesmojo32
    @joejoesmojo32 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You went through all the steps but don't show the actual removal. I was hoping to see how easily it comes out without all the front core support/ rad, condenser etc in the way.
