I've tried this one a few times/vintages some years ago but never got to find a lot of joy in it. The last one from Ornellaia I drank was the flagship 2019 in Bolgheri. That one was mindblowing... Maybe it's time to try this again.👍
Perhaps, for me this had elegance and freshness - if it is the incredible concentration of Ornellia that you are loving then perhaps not - certainly got to be worth a go hasn't it?
I find that the second and third wines of these famous super Tuscan producers as well as many famous Bordeaux classified growths offer tremendous value.
Frequently they can be, but I think some care is needed, styles can be quite vintage dependent. I guess it is similar to the way that top Piedmontese winemakers so often make fabulously nervous whites from Arneis or Gavi, these are people who are just used to making wine with superb balance and elegance.
