for the university area it's be nice to try make it seem like a really old campus that the town then grew around similar to Oxford or Cambridge? Would be a great spot to put in a cathedral of some sort too like in Durham. Loving the new series!

A good way to shift the grid as you did for the clock tower is to draw one way tram roads in the grid, then upgrade it to a regular road to get the zoning grid. One way tram road snaps into grid squares instead of grid lines

44:00 Cims cannot walk through because there is not a crossing nearby. Make one with the pedestrian roads and maybe you could add a stop, especially at the oil factory. You can place a bit more of the public transport stops. I made a city where i reached the limit of public transportation lines and here are my experiences.
Bus and trolleybus stops: every second or third street
Tram stop: every second bus stop (usually 3 in a district)
Metro station: every second tram stop (usually 2 in a district)
Train station: usually 1 or 2 (if the district is big or many people live there) in a district

Excellent! I know there is always a lot more to the speed builds than meets the eye, but now that I'm doing a build along---- that was a butt ton of detailing! So much fun. Love the tram depot area and the tram stops look awesome.

I always gotta love an OE town center build. I especially like the clock tower as the centerpiece. It sort of creates a landmark for the suburb.
That was another great cinematic and love how the trams coming from Both directions pulled up at the tram stop at the same time with great synchronisation that was spot on. 😊

Love hearing your thought process. Understandably, it is tempting to go straight to the campus build. Maybe there can be a campus extention to the oil industry. I always love when you pair those two dlcs together.

Looking at the Tram Maintenance Yard, there’s tons of vanilla props available to fill out some of the empty concrete areas. There’s some benches from Plazas and Promenades that you can stack together, that look a bit like pallets or crates. The food trucks that have the serving window closed look like a city maintenance vehicle. Some of the magazine stands have really good collision mechanics, so you can combine a bunch of them together to look like some storage sheds. And of course the coloured garbage and recycling bins always help fill up a work yard, or back ally. Oh, and also the various “switching boxes” from Railroads of Japan, they look like little junction boxes or electrical service points.

I usually start with building a small town and then move on to building the bigger city and it’s downtown once i unlock the high-density zones. Works the best and looks the best.

I humbly request that you plop the Metro-Train-Monorail-Tram Hub with Road because it looks amazing
when placing industry buildings (like oil extractors), you should wait a like 10 seconds between them so trucks dont all exit them at the same time creating more traffic
Never had an issue with that personally
@@OVERCHARGEDEGG just something I like to do, not a fan of all trucks spawning all at once. really only becomes an issue in large industry areas
I love OE town center builds, some of my favorite things that you build. They all have the same idea and yet you make them unique and special every time. Also here to say MOOR PPs 🙃

Hi Egg, love the series -keep it up. You should consider having roads without parking near all of the car parks to make them busier.
Egg, the info booths have toilets (visually) built in. That tram stop has two sets of toilets, which I think is a little overkill...
Very lovely build. I love seeing how far cs1 has come. A very small suggestion is that I think you should replace a bit of the commercial in the town center with some offices once we unlocked them
This town centre reminds me of Hill Valley (Back to the Future). You've got the clock tower over the road from the park, with shops lining the road around the clock tower park. "Save the clock tower!"😂 Also you could put two pine trees out the front of the carpark at the Food World, and you've got Twin Pines Mall!😂😂😂

Hey Egg, since you’re making a couplet, later down the road you should close the median and create u-turns. Those are called RCIs, RCUTs and J-Turns.

Another fantastic episode Egg!
The way I center stuff is to put parklife assets in the middle of the grid squares (since they do not snap), and if you do it on both sides it throws off the grid for placing normal buildings

Hi Egg! I've followed quite a few CS series of yours so far, but not all of them yet. At some point I always get a little disconnected, as CS lends itself to the grids, zoning and spread that are not very familiar to an European watcher. I'm curious - is any previous series centered around EU theme?

I am usually left just speechless with how good Egg’s skills for capturing realism in a game are getting but this one really took the cake 🥲
