Just realized phase 1 armor sounds the best vs droids but phase 2 seemed like best vs Jedi
Almost like it was planned…
Oh crap

This is EXACTLY the long-form video breakdown I've been hoping for, I've been hoping you guys would deep dive into clone armor!!
The random cuts to Kaminoans crotches are 100% appreciated, I was kinda lost until I saw that😂.
Talking about trooper armour, I always wrote it off as useless but in hindsight the fact that it protects from secondry dangers like gases, temperature, ect alone is reason enough to wear it.
Even completely discounting it as protection vs guns, it's still functionally a spacesuit.
For an army designed to fight on many diffrent worlds, that's kind of mandatory.
Idk if clone armor does it, but storm trooper armor spread the impact out so it would work more like a stun bolt too. The Empire usually had enough troops to win the fight even if half of em got knocked out, but it's hard to send reinforcements all the way to the Outer Rim if a few die. That's why they always collapse. They usually weren't actually dead, just unconscious
The Clone Armor is right on top of my favorite armors. Along with the Mandalorian armor
I rather like the look of the Old Republic trooper armour
@@zachsmith1676honestly I love the old Republic troopers, both their armor and their weapons.
(This is coming from someone who loves the sith empire in SWTOR)
@@zachsmith1676 Why not both? Or you like both, but prefer Old Republic Troopers more?
Honestly, I want too see both in a single army, side by side, also with modernization to Old Republic Trooper armors AND weapons.
You literally one of like 5 reasons I still give a care about Star Wars.
Thanks 🙏🏾
Hard agree 🤝
100% At this point, I'm writing my own universe. No Disney, No 40 years of repeating stories.
Babe wake up, Geetsly dropped a long video, grab the popcorn and drinks
Good soldiers follow orders
No we are getting a divorce
@@isaackim7675(Turns into Sidious) Execute Order 66….
Seriously, the long vids are the besttttt
get the fine china
You know, the blasteel shoulder pieces of the clone armor made me think of something. If you go back and watch season one of the clone wars, you can see the clones putting there shoulder into a blaster bolt fire during combat. Just a neat little detail I realized
Probably taught that THAT part of the armor was meant to be particularly armored at least temporarily to glancing or direct hits contrary to what was mostly narrated. Else doing that doesn't make much sense.
I wonder how strong would a parachute need to be to support your average clone trooper given that the armor is heavy.
Considering a modern US paratrooper carries 60-120 pounds of kit what we use today would work for a clone.
The line about how the flamethrower was used to clear out enemy emplacements and the committing of war crimes which was the republics favorite pastime , had me dying
Great vid! Suggestion tho, maybe start showing pictures of what you’re talking about ALL the time. For the most part you do in this vid, but it’s kinda weird seeing a random picture of a DL-44 when you’re just talking about the armor lol
I agree! It bothers me much, like, I'd like to see the stuff that's talked about, not try to pull from memory (or imagine) by description!
Thanks for the feedback guys, noted.
Yaaaaa…same. Totally took me out of the video. Dude describing a medical droid but I’m looking at an image of a rocket launcher lol
“Say dog, see dog” was the rule when I went to school for journalism & visual info production. Anyway. Yah. Kind of the reason I only occasionally watch G’s videos & don’t subscribe. Better channels out there.
Gotta love the random rocket launcher pictures snuck in with the medical droids
Heavens! I didn't realize how intricate the Clone army was. It's enormous, amazing, incredible even! Thanks for putting this video out there.
What never made sense to me, is that if the Kaminoans were such expert cloners, you'd think they'd have intricate knowledge of how humans work down to the cellular structure. And with Jengo Fett and other mercenaries helping them design things, how on Kamino did the Phase 1 armor come out uncomfortable and painted in a spectrum that Kaminoans should very well be aware that humans can't see?
They focused on higher survivability and protection instead of comfort. Just like in the medieval times, while most armor was quite comfortable and allowed knights to mount and dismount without help, there was some armor that offered protection but was uncomfortable and bulky and was only used in tournaments (Justas) and while riding horses because they aim to protect the wearer for lance impacts and shrapnel.
I hope we see all of that stuff in Star Wars one day
I used to watch you a lot back in 2016/2017, I'm glad you're still doing videos almost a decade later❤️
2016/17 should not be that long ago 😭
@@user-rn9ys1td7c it really shouldn't, 2016 feels like 2 years ago but it's been 8 already. Incredible how fast time passes
This is My clone wars movie thank you geetsy your channel is amazing l love it
Can you do this same format for the empire? I think it would be awesome!
Did I really sit here and watch almost a two hour video? Yes I did.
29:00 uhhhhh i thought the language on his helmet translated to “some guys have all the luck” i think the one with the “only good droid is a dead droid” Tattoo was the 501st Medic Kix who had it on his Head not helmet.
These videos help me fall asleep. Thank you
Likewise bro, perfect for that 👌🏻
I'm not sure that's the compliment you think it is
@@perrywaaz3660 I also use them to focus when doing menial tasks.
Theses guide vids have been frickin awesome
How does he NOT have at least 1 million subs yet!?! The algorithm did my man dirty 🤦♂️ , keep up the great work & awesome videos!!!
Great info on Clones btw
This is the video I've been waiting for
Why is there random images completely unrelated to what he's talking about popping up all the time... It's pretty annoying ngl.
Real
Flamethrowers popping up when talking about speeder bikes and turrets when he is talking about RX200s lol
Images that relate to what he talks about, it is very confusing when he is talking about something you may have not heard about and is showing an entirely different thing
These videos are just re uploads and other videos spliced together, it’s the laziest kind of content, dead internet theory, it’s happening everywhere
@ayoitsyayo are you making better videos than these that we can watch? Also, some of us prefer to wait and watch the long form compilation videos like this rather than the 10 minute daily ones.
1 hour and 49 minutes of juicy Clone Wars content
This is an absolute jewel
Wooh, another banger. Let’s Goooo! Gotta love Geetsly
One of the few reasons why I haven't deleted TH-cam yet. Thanks for your work🍻
I love this, this is such a great idea, the only gripe I have is with the image timing, but other than that great job!
For me the clone equipment and the CIS equipment that could reasonably be operated by a humanoid (ATT ,STAP, the naval ships etc) will always be the coolest stuff in star wars
I wish Star Wars republic commandos was re made for new gaming platforms
This is perfect to listen to while I do my homework
Ah, nachos, cookies, blue 2 liters of blue milk, and a long Geetsly video. Punch it!
29:00 Kix is actually the one with that slogan on his head, commander ponds’ was “some guys have all the luck”.
Score; long Geetsly video while I'm at work
In under 10 min after punlic nice
I look forward to these long videos as they are great listening while I'm getting ready for work. Bless you 🙏
Keep these videos coming
God that Katarn armor making me wanna play republic commando again.
BREACH THAT DOOR, DELTA
The Phase 1 Clone Armor can breath in space and Phase 2 Clone Armor needs oxygen tanks
I had always been confused on if they had a limited amount of shots in their weapons, so thank you.
Me: (After seeing the title and length) Oh this must be a compilation of all his previous videos discussing Clone Armor, Weapons, and Vechicals, so I don't have to watch the whole thing before commenting as I've already watched all those videos, so I'll just watch the first few minutes then skip to end before commenting something and then go watch the other stuff I need to.
Me: (After the first few minutes) Okay this is a completely new video, which means I'll have to watch the whole thing before I comment. This is going to take a while.
Me: (After finally getting through the whole video) Welp, I had to do a bunch of other stuff while watching this video, clean my ears, work on fanfics, eat dinner, and so on, but I finally got through it. It was incrediable, but a little too long. Now on to my actual comments:
9:17-9:23: Yeah, but that one danger has been responsabile for the death of 1/3 of all Star Wars characters, so I feel people should be more concerned with that giving how many people have died by getting shot by a blaster. The other 2/3 of deaths come from Lightsabers and explosions, with a small percentage being other forms of death such as falling, force chocking, blunt weapons, and so on.
16:09-16:13: So The Clone Advisor for Delta Squad wasn't the only one to still use Phase 1 armor by the time of the Battle of Kashyyyk.
40:25-40:28: A blaster that can take down most with a single shot, my argument that people should be more concerned with blaster technology is getting stronger.
56:15-56:20: What about Hardcase? Or was his a different type of gatling gun?
1:16:00-1:16:13: Oh that's cool and sweet. It's nice to see it's not just the Bad Batch and Omega that are attached to their IM-6. And it looks like me doing the same with my IM-6 OC in my The True Jedi Way fanfic was accurate to the franchise.
1:46:45-1:46:57: I knew the ones at Jaibbm were prototypes, but are you telling the ones seen in Jedi Fallen Order and the first two seasons of Star Wars Rebels were also just prototypes since the Galactic Civil War didn't offically start until season 3 of Rebels in 2 BBY and you said the proper AT-AT didn't premier until the Galactic Civil War?
That thumbnail goes so hard 🔥
I loved💛this Star Wars Clone Wars Clone Trooper Video it was amazing!!!!
Also I have just have one question are you guys going to making more longer format videos rather than shorter videos????
If so does this mean you are making 1 long video a week and 1 shorter video week I was just curious 🧐.
Now last thing I whould like say is keep 🆙 the good work Geetslys and have a fantastic Day!!!!
Nah dawg Ponds had "some guys have all the luck" scrawled on his helmet 😭🙏
BRING IN THE FLAMETHROWERS.
Great video geestly a possible video suggestion for you do a similar video but for stormtroopers and every piece of armour and gear they used throughout the dark times
I don't know why, I always preferred the DC-15A as my main blaster
Except it WASNT just a shock to the usual wide galaxy...just as planned the Sith themselves was the ONLY ones NOT surprised seeing as loke narrated it DID basically drop outta thin Space an air or might as well have how fast an exceptional Battle Army just not only appeared but won they're first battle or few. An proved to be quite deadly. Even against the WORST an deadliest creatures an fighters alike the Galaxy had ever made.
Also noticed with things like the Katarn Class armor.. what they SERIOUSLY needed was a wide spread version of THAT to keep hella lot more Clones from being injured or KIA in battles that they MIGHTVE otherwise fought the CIS to a draw or stand still an maybe even long enough to turn around an win instead of lost....
Lil things like that tend to help make HUGE differences in massive important battles when multiplied bt numbers of exceptional trained an very well equipped forces
I know it's for reasons of story but it's so weird Palpatine was able to make this fantastic fully equipped military but then dropped the ball later on by almost completely replacing them and their equipment possibly because of the bloody daft Tarkin doctrine? I swear Palpatine got stupider as he got older, maybe the Dark side corrupts the brain as well the body?
This is an invaluable guide. Great job!
I love learning this stuff. If there was a class on star war knowledge I’d be studying for my phd 😂
CIS Breakdown next?
I wish they wouldn't of looked almost like stormtroopers by ep 3. Ik ikkk..i just wish the regular grunt clones would've kept looking like a clone soldier, rex, cody and higher ranksnshould've been thebinly ones with helmet and armor redesign
My theory for the use of watercrafts is that they would be used to attack installations that were near or on bodies of water but had AA capabilities, therefore, making flying in impossible or at least far too dangerous.
Glorious lore
SEVERAL YEARS LATER.
Recruit No1 - "This armours great! Sarge says its useless against stoneage weapons or teddy bears tho".
Recruit No2 - "pffff... Like, whatever".
I have always loved the armor, def so more when I learned that USUALLY a chest hit that makes a trooper drop isn't fully fatal. In my mind, from what I have heard, learned and seen, is that (as long as it dont burn through) it would basically be like getting hit by a motorcycle.
you COULD survive but uhhhhhh
I'm pretty sure the dc-17m was meant to parallel the modularity of the stoner 63 favored by Vietnam era Navy seals.
Excellent vid overall....though i must point out that you forgot the DC-12U beam rifle used by the scuba troopers.
Now combine their armor with Crysis 3 nano suit and you have a halo near-peer.
Hey Geetsly, can you do a video on the naming behind vehicles such as the x wing, y wing, and such. I mean they make sense for us since that's the English character they look like, but galactic basic doesn't really have those characters so a lore reason for why would be interesting.
34:30 cheers for the storm trooper cockshot
"the Final Component, and by far the most important"
Me: better be the hel- LETS FFFFFFUKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Great video
*checks phone in bed* guess I’ll go to bed in 1:49:50
33:39 what did the Empire do with a lot of the to be retired equipment for the GAR and the Seps? Did they scrap it, sell it, warehouse it, or something else?
A mix of scraping, selling, and warehousing that's why a lot of rebels use clone/CIS equipment and depending on how far out they were the imperials did the same until the empire was defeated
What did rex look like to the umbareins? With his phases one parts of his armor. And if any other clones had phase one armor on Umbarin.
I terribly regret to inform you that your editor has an unhealthy obsession with flamethrowers and the various cod pieces of the clones and kaminoians...
Protective against what? outside of the Star Wars Small arms I've never seen a clone or stormtrooper armor that was able to stop even a single blaster bolt
Man i wanna pull up to battle in some Battle Crocks 😢
I eenjoy your videos ,Thank you . But I Would like to see A video on the details of Various Ammunition used in the Blaster (Calibers ,What kind of Rounds ,What kind of Markings the ammo had if any, ,I see a lot of Ammo clips and Ammo belts but not the Specific Rounds Thanks .
How do you keep messing up the rate of fire for the z6?! Every time you say it shoots around 150 per minute, when it really shoots that amount every second.
166 RPM seems really low. Looking at footage of the Z-6 in action seems to show a much higher rate of fire. I'd say it's closer to 960 RPM based on footage of Thorn's last stand, which places it closer to the ballpark of a real minigun.
1:08:29 unless you’re Mando and have balls of beskar as seen in the season 1 finale.
Do you think some Alpha ARCs like Alpha 17 had a mutation which increased their testosterone or took steroids? bc Alpha-17 is massive
Beats the overkill bulkiness of the Imperium of Man's Space Marines and the... excess appearance of the Future Warrior program, these guys.
Now, if only personal shields and interchangeable weapons are the norm even for, well, "basic shinies".
34:30
This is a certified Stormtrooper crotch moment
I recently watched attack of the clones again, was wondering do you know the lore of the first clone to die on geonosis in the arena?
Very good video but why nothing on the firepuncher?
Randomly switching to a picture of an E-WEB or a random blaster rifle while talking about other stuff is a bit annoying.
If you don't have enough images of AT-TEs to fill that amount of time, just like the images hang for longer.
Does anyone have any recommendations for where I could get awesome clone wars art to hang up on the wall.
May the views be with you bro.
I gotta let gang know I fw this vid.

The idea of an infinite ammo pistol in Star Wars breaks emersion for me
With the tech ability in a civilization this seems actually plausible if not downright likely in the distant actual future of scifiish-reality warfare. You'd just need to be able to do something like pretty much split atoms an then somehow not only do that or have something close to this that is usable as a power/ammo source to discharge whatever the weapon is at given targets
@@robertagu5533 i disagree. If it were splitting atoms it would be much faster to recharge and more powerful. If it could do that in such a tiny package then the same tech would be used to power everything. But it’s fine that we disagree and it’s not worth debating the plausibility of a fictional universe
@@funkeyfreddy oh its fine I wasn't trying to delve into it. Just a very dirty rudimentary thought or 2 on it. What is saying sounds like something from a civ so far advanced odds are we very well won't ever get there
DC 17 sidearm is balanced enough for that
30m range
7 shots
7 seconds to full charge
Generaly weak and big also expenisve
Bro why are so many of the images shown have nothing to do with the armor he’s talking about
This channel absolutely destroys Star wars theory with its universal kick ass production and passion and honesty. Free from arrogance unlike a certain youtube channel. Keep it the great passion hobbies Geetsly and always stay humble no matter what. The force is with this channel for sure ya'll.
Rent free huh?
Enjoyed the video, but just some friendly & well intentioned education for ya: at 57:00, you described the Z6 rotary blaster as having “an incredibly high rate of fire” at around 160-ish rounds per minute.
That’s not a high rate of fire. That’s an incredibly *low* rate of fire, particularly for a Gatling/mini-gun inspired weapon.
Some of the slowest real machine guns, such as the UMP 45 and the AK platform of rifles have cyclic rates of 600 rounds per minute. The M134 (modern minigun) shoots 6000 rounds per minute.
I don’t know where you got the info, maybe you’re quoting some SW guide and the guide got it wrong, so I’m not flaming or shit posting, just saying that if you’re gonna do a video in part describing firearms, even fictional firearms, maybe do some research first. Otherwise you kind of sound like someone who’s producing documentary style content but has no idea what they’re talking about…which kinda defeats the point of producing documentary style content…
