I woke up this morning and there was this weird sound in my balcony and I was soo confused then I looked and saw a squirrel and he was making all kind of noises...
The second you did the distressed noises my dog went nuts outside looking for something to kill. LOL
I literally looked this up right after having a squirrel bark at me and my dog and I was curious if it was either protecting something or maybe something was wrong with it because I’ve never heard one that angry before but that first call the fact that you did it so well and actually answer my questions was low-key impressive…. Hmm. There are squirrels outside my balcony on the trees doing an elongated , crying sound. It’s not a muk and they’re not a baby. Full grown, side of a tree crying and I feel so bad for it. I’m curious what it’s saying but I didn’t get that from this extremely charming video

A few days ago, I had my brother trim a tree that I think a squirrel was using to gain access to my attic, and for two days he kept waking me up right beside that tree, outside my window making the most horrible sounds for over an hour. So I got some squirrel repellent balls, and placed them in that tree and in some other ones in my front yard, and he stopped the chirp-barking, but I went outside this morning to find a handful of mutilated pecan shells by my welcome mat. It's obviously not this squirrel's first rodeo. I think those pecan shells were a warning. If I wake up with a horse head in my bed, I'm moving.

I only have 2. Younger squirrels that hang around my property. Every once in a while one or both sits out and barks for hours.

@Clark Pickins, what, if anything, does it mean that a squirrel pees on you. The squirrel in question was very friendly and would sit in the person's lap eating nuts. The person fed a rival squirrel; one the friendly squirrels usually chased off. Asking for a friend
Just doing a search and your video was one of the top ones. I just want to know. I have a square in my yard that barks (makes loud noises) in the middle of the night non stop. I want to shoot it but live in the suburbs.
i took out the dogs out and one was smelling a tree by our house and i heard a chicken sound and i was like wtf when did our neighbors get chicken?

Ok I played this for Oscar. He says you really need to practice your call. Hey I just holler there names when I want to get em down the tree. Keep some peanuts in your pocket helps. They can smell em soon as I walk out my door. Oscar says you need to go hang out in a tree to really get to know em. I do it daily.

I have a bunch of squirrels in a big tree by my bedroom window. I started giving one nuts although there’s a few others that come around at times but one really sticks around and even runs down the tree when I come to the door. I hear it make these loud noises at times don’t think it’s what your referring to though, one time I looked and it was staring at me through the window (it was in the tree). I figured it wanted nuts but heard it could be a predator is near thing which I get since there’s crows and other things around here. They are very interesting and very fearless with how much they can run and jump on things you would think they wouldn’t be able to like skinny branches. I just love them!!
What's with the discount ventriloquism hour? Play prerecorded clips with examples of the different calls. I've never heard any squirrel cluck like a duck that swallowed a chicken.
I'm not used to knowing that squirrels even have a voice. This is a bit like the Twilight Zone for me. Kinda like if you told me dogs sometimes go to the grocery store on two feet to shop with credit cards.

Hello Clark! I have a squirrel on my property that comes to my steps of my patio everyday. She keeps coming to these steps for something but I can’t figure out what she is doing there. My husband shushes her away because he thinks she wants to put her food in our plants there but she is always eating or trying to dig at the cement in between the bricks. I also noticed her carrying something that looked like a dead mole or mouse today in her mouth. She was acting skittish and running back and forth between 2 trees on my property in a very particular way as she usually is quite comfortable when I’m near. I followed her and realized they weren’t mice but her babies she was relocating. I have all this on video and would love to send it to you and to tell me what’s going on with her.
What about beach squirrels making bird noises and standing on hind legs with it's tail moving side to side??

What does it likely mean when a squirrel repeatedly makes a long call ending in a grunt? "Squaaaaaaa-git" The "Squaaaa" sound in a low pitch, and the ending "git" is higher and shorter. He or she is acting almost like it's trying to do a fake charge at me by darting down the trunk and staying inverted hugging the tree, tail not moving, and repeating the same sound constantly for 3 or 4 minutes at a time. It seems aggressive. I'm at least 15 or 20 feet away from the tree, and he keeps acting like I'm a threat. Could it be sick or possibly rabid?

I'm in the UK and every morning I hear squirrels bark. Is that because they can see me? Or are they just talking to each other? Also when they are angry why does they sound like a rattle?

My rescue squirrel has been fantastic for 11 months.
Out of no where whenever I exit the bathroom from taken a shower he launches into biting my Hands.
It has happened 4 times in last 3 weeks.
All 4 times we were playing wrestling etc.
20 minute later walk out of bathroom. Bang biting hand till I'm bleeding.
If I get him off of me he will chase me. If I'm able to keep him on my back he sits CHATTERING HIS TEETH.
I have 2 female roommates he has not attacked them once.
Could it be he is entering sexual maturity at 11 months.
What can I do to get back to way he was past 11 months.

His leg was injured badly when I rescued him.
Would my squirrels be the reason my chipmunk disappeared ? We were feeding both the squirrels and our one chipmunk for about three weeks and then went on vacation and haven't seen the chipmunk since we left. Definitely seems like something happened to him.

This is absolutely horrible. It’s just a few minutes of some guy poorly imitating squirrels…so poorly that you will learn nothing from this. I guess they can’t find actual squirrels to show demonstrations. I want my time back.
