James Aitchison Agreed. Case in point, uber rich multi billionaire Paul Allen from Microsoft, had a hangar full of expensive toys, but needed more time to play with it all. His biggest wish was to get a wife and kid, but bazillions aside, he seemed poor on human charisma, and died alone. Perhaps the diamond studded solid ivory dodo feather lined casket was a little comfort.
I'm an old woman and the most important thing I've ever learned about money comes from this story. A man was attending a party and a friend pointed to a nearby person. This man is very rich. He works all the time to earn money. He never stops. He has worked and saved for many years and probably will until he dies. My friend walked up to the rich man and said, "I have something that you will never possess." "What?" the rich man said. My friend looked at the rich man and smiled. "I have enough." My wish for all of you is that you can tell when you have enough. Then, just enjoy and share your contentment.
Nice story..... I don't think many will get it. It is written.....pray for two things occurs before death. One, I do not have deceitful lips. Two, gypsy I neither be rich and become snared or poor so I need not steal and put the Lord to shame
Instead of contrasting rich and poor, this video contrasts good and poor money management skills. There are rich people who squander their money, and not-so-rich people who learn good money management techniques and are able to turn their lives around. Notice I said "not-so-rich" rather than "poor". Truly poor people can't buy even the $100 jeans mentioned here. They have to shop thrift stores or make their own clothes, cook at home rather than eating out, and must still often choose between eating and paying basic bills or health insurance. The "poor" in this video sound more like middle-class people who have yet to learn sound money management. That said, this video has wonderful money management tips that can help many of us (myself included) improve our financial stability.
Obviously, the maker of this video has never actually been poor. The truly poor don't buy $100 jeans, nor $3.50 for a cup of coffee. The truly poor use one bulb in a three-bulb fixture. The truly poor wear thrift-store jeans. The truly poor cook their own food, instead of eating out... and what they're cooking is cheap stuff that expands in water, like rice, beans, and macaroni. Rich people have money to put to work for them. The truly poor have to choose between groceries and medical care. There is no money to put to work for themselves. How do I know these things? My husband became mentally ill... and eventually abandoned me with our two children to raise alone.
That's very sad and I'm sorry. Rich people do cook at home though. My grandparents were wealthy and upper middle class with maids, etc, and my grandmother still cooked at home. I'm poor because of health and personal circumstances, and cook at home, but healthy good food like Peruvian stews, brown rice, chicken in pesto with veg, etc. Cooking at home doesn't have to be stuff that expands in water, you can cook healthy cheaply, veg from markets, end of day reductions, etc.
Oh, believe me, I know. But the poorest of the poor are not able to shop for good deals. It takes time and money. I once worked as a home-health caregiver for someone who retired early from a 6-figure salaried position... she had a customized kitchen, with ALL the latest innovations, and threw away so much food! And she ate FAST FOOD most of the time! Why? Because she didn't want to get her kitchen dirty! And then, I had to meekly stand and listen to her rant about how they are threatening to raise minimum wage! How it would make their fast food so expensive! I dared not tell her how it was for those single mothers trying to raise their children on only $15K a year... which is minimum wage. It's simply impossible to pay rent, electric, phone, water, and taxes, plus insurance, auto repairs, gas, and groceries... and that's not touching clothes, winter heat, school fees and supplies. It never ends. And there's only a day's wages between a roof over the head, and living on the street. If one has no education, it's nearly impossible to get a job better than minimum wage... so it takes two jobs to make ends meet. Which means the children have less home life. Which means the children tend to get into more trouble... Why doesn't she go get more education? I did. I got a 2-year degree, so I could hopefully get a better income. But that meant working fewer hours, so I could study. So I took out student loans, to make ends meet, while I attended classes. But for the last 4 years, I've been applying for jobs in the sector I am well-qualified for (Medical office) but no one wants to hire someone with only education and no experience. I'm 55 now... and I wonder if I'll ever get an office job. My body is wearing out and developing issues. Diabetes. Aches and pains... I'm so tired! But I have to keep working very physical jobs, trying to pay off these student loans. My current patient must be lifted from one chair to another... At least my children are grown, and are productive, respectable adults. I feel my life work is pretty much over. I have no real purpose for living anymore. Falling in love again is a pipe dream. I'm exhausted. I just want to go home to heaven.
@@pollyjetix2027 so sad to hear. Your life story is so many others.. things really need to change for the better so that people aren't crippled student loan debt. Try to find a hobby if you can to give your life more meaning and maybe that hobby might turn lucrative
polly jetix so sorry to hear about that! I understand how hard it is to hear people that have a lot of money go on and on about how broke they are. Just out of curiosity, have you considered taking your experience and applying for scholarships to nursing school? I know the American Legion has several scholarships for moms that want to become LPN (or LVN, depending on your state). I work as a nurse and there is a huge nursing shortage in the US. Not trying to be unreasonable, just curious if this is something you would be able to consider.
actually rich people don't buy those cars. they're flash cars and as the video said, they don't flash their money. instead they might buy a bentley or classical cars, or million dollar performance cars
So bucking true thats what i have been telling my friends this whole bucking time .... but little buckers wont listen they say its system and poverty is the reason why people are poor
Think he is comparing upper middle who know how to save money and work hard vs entitled people who only live on a modest salary but spend beyond their means to show off.
I worked with some one like that. By no means am i incredibly wealthy but safe/comfortable would be a better word for it. I work in a factory if that will explain the rest of it... but any way the girl right next to me always had her hair done nails ect and would wear name brand closes to work where they get dirty and destroyed and brand new iphone ect... on a daily basis would be talking about how she cant affort to pay her bills... i worked the same job made slightly less bc i was prego and we got paod per part vs per hour and it was a physically demanding job and had plentt in the bank car paid off getting ready to buy a house... granted i am 2-3 years older but even when i was her age i still made sure i had all my stuff together... money managment is a choice.
Or just people amungst there own finacial groups... just bc tour poor doesnt mean your the poorest toi could be better off then the other poor person and it would probably be bc of some of the topics he brought up.

Exactly! Imagine someone from the working class trying to make investment; they would get laughed at by the investee. Also, what kind of poor person goes around buying pricey clothes?
@@IbarraAlejandro because they didnt spend there money thats why they become richer rather than a poor who spent alot of it instead saving it. Some of the rich especially millionaire get debt because spending alot of money to a things.
Plenty of rich people flaunt their wealth. Poor people don't buy Porsche, Ferraris, private jets, $100,000+ watches, courtside sporting event seats and about a million more things.
I think you mistake the rich from the filthy rich. The people that you mentioned are multi millionaires or billionaires. People who are "well off" are those that are mentioned in this video. They are what we used to call the upper middle class. Those that have maybe $500k-$1m. You don't see those people buying Ferraris, Porsche or diamond watches. You don't see these people going on their yacht sitting beside the pool with 10 hot girls in bikinis surrounding them sipping martinis.
Frozen Fire you are right but that so obvious distinction should have been made here, shouldn’t? Multimillionaires also buy luxurious products, clothes, cars, mansions. If not then who buys these things? Rich people had some business idea and make some over-average cash flow while poor and the middle class work for money and make more and more debts.
Most of those who were originally poor who got lucky overnight (rappers winning lottery/casino) or kids who dont make their own money (parents, etc). The poorest man in the nearby park hills neighborhood (also a creeper) is the only one with a lamborghini "to try feeling rich" because he got newfound wealth and has no idea how actual rich people live. People still think of him as some low class bum who stole mommy's lambo or something because he makes it so obvious that he is new to this.
The most valuable lesson about wealth I ever learned was in my teens. It came from an old Greek philosopher (aren't they all?) whose name I have tried, unsuccessfully, to track down for sixty years. I paraphrase, "I never realized how wealthy I was until I went to the market and realized how many things I did not need".
Me: I'm going to buy a Coffee machine, LED lights, induction stove, energy saving windows... Paycheck: hah! no you're not! Me: looks at credit card... Credit Card: Don't even think about it!
You heard about saving? It's this cool thing where you put aside a little money and wait. Suddenly you have a lot of money saved up. Then you buy the stuff you want. However, rich people also learn to moderate their spendings and pay off expensive loans, before buying money saving products.

Reminds me of an explanation given to me once. When I was in grade school, I was bused to a very low income area for school. I noticed something very out of place there, which confused me. On a block of 10 multi-family houses, at least half of them had Cadillacs in their driveways. When I was in high school, I was again bused into another low-income area for school. Noticed more of the same. As a teenager, was less restricted in where I walked, and whom I would encounter. I spoke to a guy sitting out on his porch one morning, as we all walked by toward the school. I ask this man about this phenomenon. His answer surprised me, but clarified the issue fully. When driving in his car, everywhere he went, people would see his Cadillac. Where he lived, everybody was all dealing with the same hopelessness of their collective financial situations. But out on the road, nobody else knew of that, and could feel like they weren't poor, even if only for fleeting moments. The "rich person" thinker, would have suggested that he should leverage the money spent on that luxury car, to propel himself out of such conditions, permanently.
Yeah, no I am pretty poor myself and I buy the cheapest pants or shirts I can find, tho I can't get as much cause of the house bills, it's hard to pay them..

Emma Agreed. I’d rather have a job I would enjoy with perhaps not as great income compared to a job I despise but earns a lot. But money is also very important.
If you’re average, your income likely is. If you’re proactive (conscientious), you’re likely to have a higher income. Conscientiousness is the second biggest predictor of success after IQ.
And DONT think if you have money, people arent ALWAYS trying to overcharge you or SCAM you out of it! This includes banks and other financial institutions. You have to pay constant attention to whats going on! DONT let other people manage your money, DO IT YOURSELF!
Jessie Cator then LOWER YOUR BILLS. For example Turn off the cable, get a cheaper phone, a cheaper but equally reliable car, a smaller apartment, stop eating out, make sacrifices on intangibles like entertainment (You’d be surprised how these smaller expenses add up over time).Network with people who are going places. Not directing this at you personally but you get the point. I made this change in my life and I regret not having this knowledge years ago. Hope this helps...
@@ikeben400 oh thank you but I'm 50 years old, we don't go out to eat or have a car, you see? Some of us aren't throwing money away, we just don't really have any. Phone is 4 years old, house is paid off. Cable - Netflix - no we're keeping that, got to have something you enjoy 🙂
Again - this wasn't directed at you personally but to most people who complain that the reason they can't save money is because of bills. Nevertheless, if you don't eat out or have a car and don't splurge AND your house if paid off - if you consider yourself poor: WHERE ARE THESE SO CALLED BILLS COMING FROM?
I didn't tag you - I replied to your comment in a general sense of things. In the first reply I specifically mentioned "not directing this at you personally but you get the point..." Then in the second reply I further elaborated "this wasn't directed at you personally but to most people who complain..." What else would you have me say? If you find it offensive then I take back the comments. P.S If you have paid off your house and only have utilities, food and school (a major investment) to worry about - YOU ARE NOT POOR
Good tips, for moving from middle to rich. However truth is, if you are truly poor you have to think differently. If you have five dollars to feed your family. A healthy meal cost 10, you must buy the cheap unhealthy options. Poor quality food can impair brain function and cause health issues. If you make 300 a week and your rent and utilities are 900, you are less likely to take financial risk if you have a family.
This is not so right, because who are those who own the biggest houses in the world, the luxurious cars, the expensive jewelry, the first class flight tickets, the big schools, the flamboyant hotels etc This is to just let you know that the rich have a way of spending money extravagantly different from how average people do. Instead, these are the thought of economically rational people who are obviously not all rich . Some poor people do it too.
Nothing is right on this channel, this channel is a joke made to entertain little kids and adults with low IQs. Not even sure why this trash content is on my recommendations.
You are right. The people on this channel have confused rich with well to do, who are people who are making a lot of money, let's say, $100,000 a year. Compared to someone who makes a million a year. Even then, people are different. One thing I have seen is those with new money tend to show it off, while those have had a lot for a long time, they tend to be very quiet about how they spend it.
How "rich" is defined is the contex that's missing in this video. The people you described are far and few between. This is talking about people who are in the hundreds of thousands, but still live around your area and live normal lives and can retire comfortably.
Okay I've watched the video and totally consider myself a poor person! What I think most of us have failed to grasp from the video is - those who spend extravagantly WITHOUT actual backup plan AND JUST FOR THE CAUSE TO SHOW OFF that they have money - are poor! Think of it this way, if you dont have an income to cover your expenses (extravagant spending, to be precisely) then how can you stay "rich"? True rich people spend 1 billion in a flash because they know it wont even put a dent on their net worth. They probably will earn a billion in next month or so (just an example). While people like me will read this on news article and blame fate/luck/govt etc lol.
Julie Fraioli And then there is me, new money and old money I hold onto mostly, unless my big sister mentions wanting something or I REALLY want something... or if I'm told I should get it by someone such as my mom.
Mystery Potato it is how you obtained the money, if it is really your great great grandfathers money that has been passed down (not collections), then it old money. If it is allot of money your parents or you make it's new money, and turns into old money If the first few generations save the money and invests it, with the intention of passing it, and having them pass most or more of it
@@talonsilverhawk5763 I don't really have money passed down, my sister and I get money on days such as our birthdays and Christmas, which my sister goes through money quickly unlike me.
Point 5 to point 1, agreed 💯! I think the reason some of us dislike this is because it struck a nerve. When I observe my rich friends vs the not so rich ones...I see the difference. At the end of the day it boils down to your mentality. We don't need as much as we are brainwashed to think we do. Minimalism all the way. 😏
I'm on my journey to becoming wealthy, thanks to the forex market. The best decision I made this year was investing in the financial markets even though I'm a full time nurse 😊😊😊😊
Who said rich people don't show off. I have a friend who keeps posting Instagram stories of high class restaurants and another who keeps sending snaps of each of her 7 dogs
Then if the video is to be believed, your friend is not truly rich - just trying to look like she is. Of course, this doesn't account for people like the President, who do nothing with their wealth but flaunt it. But then again, although Trump is definitely rich, he's nowhere near as rich as he claims to be - so maybe it's sort of the same principle.
They were talking about the people with the rich mindset and who work to become rich every single second while your snap mates are the people born to a wealthy family. Those kind of people are just to show off and nothing else. Got it?
Being wealthy is definitely a mind set. Videos like this somewhat help put what’s important into perspective. If you don’t have the money don’t spend and at the end of the day...working hard and saving helps build wealth. When you are limited you do what you have to do to keep your head above water.
This video doesn't make any sense. "This is not the best financial investment and they don't have to prove anything." So buying yachts or planes or helicopters is a good investment? Or these assets are being bought by poor people just to look rich? And many many other things...
Rev I think you missed the point. Most millionaires live next door to you and you don't know it. They are frugal and have paid off cars and houses. I think you're thinking of rich people you've seen in movies?
Naomi, yup, i think you got it right, I think the majority of millionaires live in regular houses, drive regular cars, dress modestly, live quietly. But they worked hard, saved money, and invested wisely. By the time they retire, they will be secure.
Some rich people rent the yacht or helicopter to other people while they aren't using it to cover the cost. They would also use them while entertaining clients to give the client the impression that they made a lot of money so they would be good to do business with.
There are lots of differences between the rich and they poor but the poor can live up to the standard of the rich, it’s simple just by spending less and investing more that’s how the rich remain rich
William Wrate I’ll approve Mr Albert Micheal for you he’s trustworthy and best option ever seen he has helped me recover what i lost trying to trade on my own

The difference between the Rich and Poor is that most Poor people understand what Hungry actually means! WE have fallen for the Envy and Jealousy, and Greed of Materialistic Values, rather than the caring, sharing and Love values!! That is why people are always playing " keep up with the Joneses" life! Being Rich or Poor is a state of inner self! Materials gathered, aren't as valuable as projecting Love for your Neighbors or your Fellow Man!!🤔👍🙏
T. Soprano, I understand what you mean because I am ill and born into a poor family. However, ask ourselves; wil it be any better, if we keep reminding ourselves of the negative situations? We are not our mind, we have the right to choose how and what we want to do. "If there is no doors of opportunity, we must open our own windows".
There is no virtue in having lots of money, and there is no shame in having little money. Money is not what makes a person great or small. A person's character is a mark of true greatness. All the goods of this world pass away.
I think this was made by a rich person talking about the middle class. Poor people can't get a credit card. Poor people hardly can buy enough clothes for a week from Wal-Mart, much less buy high end clothes they can't afford. Poor people manage their money quite well when they have it. I've been known to stretch a dime. Poor people can't afford to follow fashion trends or invest money. Rich people tend to own their homes outright whereas, poor people pay ridiculous rents for a hole in the wall. Lets face it, rent takes over half of most of our salaries. Poor people are many times underemployed. No benefits of any kind or PTO. The rich usually have amazing insurance. Yes they have to pay for it but, they can also afford to pay for it. Sometimes, the poor remain poor because they are not willing to cross certain moral or ethical lines to become rich. That's not to say all rich people are immoral or unethical but, when you're at the bottom, some will behave badly to change their situation. There is a much broader dynamic than this even understands.
I agree totally with your comment abut the rich and MORALS! As a retired Lawyer, I saw MANY A CROOKED LAWYER get rich, while honest lawyers made a decent wage and got stiffed by their clients!
Karen Thorne I know a few poor people who crossed that ethical barrier. I saw a few poor women steal older wealthier married men from their wives, or at least try.
even if you have mentality of rich person, doesn't mean you can become rich the video gives nice tips, but its for everyone remember only 1% of population is rich, rest of 99% is poor. It just matters how poor you are, if you're person knows how manage your money, make enough, don't worry about debt then you're basically rich to most common person.
"what could you do to become rich?" Take calculated risks and live with the results. But taking those risks requires research, tenacity and focus in a world where people grow up glued to some digital screen and end up thinking like sheep.
This video makes people believe, that it's basically your own fault, if you are poor, because it insinuates poor people having a weak charakter or not knowing "how to handle" money. However the people who made this video or rich people, who obivously think spending 100$ for a pair of jeans is considered as "poor", have absolutally no clue about what it's like to actually be poor. It's not about having no money for your daily cup of coffee. That's ridiculous. There are a lot of things in life you don't have ANY controll of, that can lead you into poverty from one day to another. For example a chronic or deadly disease or an heavy accident- just to mention two of many reasons. So if this people think poverty is about spending 100$ for your jeans, I hope they will never experience what poverty is really like. It's more about "how do I literally survive next month" and constant fear.
mizzmolly. Not true. Some people get opportunities and can exploit them, but for many others the opportunities are not there. Many people, do not earn enough to meet their basic needs or they do take a risk to start a business that does not succeed, and are left with a huge debt that puts them behind further. Our culture only highlights stories of success. You don’t hear the stories of those who tried, but did not succeed.
brontewcat - You studied Library Sciences or Journalism, the internet wipes out demand for your skills. Even worse if you owe on student loans. You marry and have a couple kids, your partner dies without insurance (they had been a Journalist and got let go). You study Social Services and the economy tanks, government cuts down on social services spending, therefore no jobs. You work in the pulp and paper industry, the internet wipes that out. You build cars and the jobs move out of the country. A family member has a preexisting condition and becomes ill. A family member is falsely accused of a crime. I hated this video it did seem to be blaming people for not being wealthy, for not having the right mindset. I understand that LED bulbs last longer, but if I only have a dollar and no light, I guess I'll have to buy the cheaper bulb.
Answers as per Karl Marx : - 1. Rich people don't try to show off their wealth is false and propaganda. 2. Only rich people follow blindly the latest fashion trend. 3. Poor people wear trendy cloths because trends are set by garment companies of rich people. 4. Rich people invest money in certain expensive items because poor people priorities are different. 5. Rich people know how to manage their money. Its because they have surplus money. 6. "Rich people choose to face their fears to become a more successful and powerful individual"-- This is called vicious cycle of capitalism.
Because Marx is totally a smart guy who didn't lead to the death of millions of people: www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2018/05/05/karl-marx-communism-death-column/578000002/
You might as well blame Einstein for Hiroshima by that logic. Marx wrote a few books highlighting the negative aspects of Capitalism and you're going to blame him for the death of millions?? lol, you're a joke.
stephan dijk That statement goes to show you how little your average person knows about Marxism. Karl Marx never said "Let's Implement communism" Karl Marx actually said that capitalism followed by Democratic socialism followed by socialism... were all necessary stages in The evolutionary timeline for Humanity, before communism.
The Kardashians are internet influencers. Social media is their job which earns them money. 99% of people aren't influencers or celebs, weither they are rich or poor. So it is pretty pointless, dangerous and just weird for them to be flaunting their wealth on social media.
If I had 100 hundred dallors ill give to my family or save it for just in case or if I need something like clothes or my cat has to go the very or something or medication that I probably need just in case who knows when you need some money
Wow....so I should spend $100 instead of $1,000 on a pair of jeans? Dude, $100 is just about double my annual clothing budget. It appears you have visited the gentrified version of Poverty. You'd not like MY side of the tracks.
So, I paid $20 for some jeans and like $95 for 6 items at a thrift store. I also have the coffee maker for $100. I cut everyone’s hair, including the dogs. I kinda think there’s more to this than just being rich and poor.
I beg to differ. Rich people spend their money on big houses, boats, planes ect. While poor people struggle to get food. Poor people can’t afford college or have the money to invest. People can’t always afford to just invest money they might loose cause they have families to pay for. And most of these like the glass and stove ect. Poor people usually rent they have no choice what goes into their home. You need money to make money. my whole family has been broke they aren’t in debt they just don’t have extra. We budget, work hard, don’t spend money aimlessly or just cause it’s there. We work get a pay check get food pay bills buy necessities and that’s it lucky if there’s extra. I’m not saying this is always the fact but making a video making it sound like poor people are lazy idiots and that’s why they are poor is very offensive I’m sure to many People.Especially to the ones that try and yet don’t magically become rich.
You are right. I agree with the video, but it starts from a point where people already have something. It doesn't take really poor people into account, although I think it's a wonderful video. A lot of people don't have any kind of financial education and they give some good general rules to start thinking about the way you deal with money. But it's always good to have a little bit of perspective, for some people it's not possible to have any kind of extra money:)
Because they have a family to take care of? That's the biggest excuse ever. how about you get your s*** together before you start producing children? The rich people don't buy boats. Poor people buy boats. most millionaires wouldn't get anywhere near a boat because they're extremely wasteful
excuses excuses... that's why poor people stay poor - they always have excuses for everything. you are the reason why you are poor - you are your worst enemy. sooner you will accept it, sooner life will start changing. look around, its 21st century, do you really want to say that you are much dumber than that 15yo boy who made a million online? seriously?
It depends on the country you live in. I know families with just one kid and extremely poor. And they try hard The opportunities are not the same , John . That's a fact!
I'm as poor as dirt. I'm doing good just keeping my bills paid every month. I shop at the Goodwill or the DAV. I make sure the clothes look stylish. It's good to buy a few packs of RIT dye just in case for jeans, or just to switch up the color. I don't get my shoes there though. I make my own earrings and I go to the pawn shop for certain kinds of appliances. This saves me enough $$ for food. I make all of my car care products. For car maintenance products, I hit walmart. There's a lot of recipe sites on the web.
If you keep up your current habits, like paying your bills, living economically, etc., there is a lot of hope for your future. Work hard, try to get a raise or a better job, stay frugal, live within your means, trust God, and in a few years, you may be amazed at how far you can go. I moved out at age 19 with nothing. And no education. I washed dishes, bagged groceries, mowed lawns. I was sinking fast. I turned to God, and went thru some tough times, but He turned my career around and in the end He gave me a great job. And I never forgot to honor God and to be frugal. Now I live comfortably. Don't give up!

People who don't work for their money are very concerned about status and yes they do buy $500 pair of jeans and $200 shoes and wear gold chains... and couch-surf because they don't have an apartment.
This video is related to the richest countries Kathar, America, Britain etc.,and its not at all related to India...I am an indian..this is not how poor and rich behaves in our country...rich people just show off with their costly expensive sarees, gold and diamond jewelleries, etc., and poor in our country are so so poor, they beg on the streets and beg our middle class pardon. They dont have proper house, lays down on the streets and no proper food,no proper clothes, etc., this is how they look like, that makes alot of difference between rich and poor in oir country...but in your country what I like is that all appears same...If we see a person in your country we can't even judge whether the person is rich or poor..because you wont follow any cultural or traditional practices..Good 👍✨✨✨ 🎉😊👏😁👏😃🎉 Congratulations!
Striving for inner peace and tranquility should be the focus of each person. We do need money but besides feeding our egos we do not need large amounts of money to be happy.I knew a millionaire who could not enjoy life because of his greed for more. Focus on the whole person including your spiritual self....your health....help others....and you will have inner peace that money cannot buy .
But what if making more money helps you get to that inner peace because it helps you accomplish things you couldn't before? I mean money can't buy happiness, but you can use it to make problems go away that make you unhappy. I mean also you're version of inner peace can be obtained differently than other people, this advice only works in a perfect world, but people have their own dreams an aspirations. What if people like challenge and striving hard to earn so much money that they can just sit back and relax, what if they want to see how far they can go? getting to that inner peace is a good premise, but in the end it still comes down to what that peace means to the person gunning for it. So that millionaire could have been enjoying life cause he liked to get more and more money, rather than just settle. Helping people is good, morally. I mean heck one guy tried to break the economy for fun, for fun, it took another rich dude to bail out the government basically. We can say stuff like this, but the world is still gonna be the same, people who do what they want to be happy, whether it helps them or hurts them.
Poor people can't afford $1300 for a coffee machine. Yes you can save for a year but whose coffee would you be drinking in the meantime. Remember that you're talking about poor people not mid class

You want to save money? Work on controlling your urges and plan ahead. You are outside and hungry? next time prepare a sandwich at home. Thirsty? take a bottle of water with you. Eating out costs A LOT of money. You don't see it, but the numbers add up very quickly. Controlling your urges means don't buy anything you feel like buying. Be more patient. When you have food in front of you, wait a few seconds before you start eating- that's a good exercise. Let the rider control the horse, not the horse control the rider.
Or gat. You still have to have an income that allows you to save. I live in one of the most expensive cities on Earth. I am old enough to have accumulated wealth, and I have a good income. However the people I work often pay a huge proportion of their wages toward rent, which does not leave them enough money to pay for all their needs. Studies of my city (which is where the jobs are) show there is no accommodation in the greater metropolitan area of this city that is affordable for any one on the lowest levels of income.
Nope. Not even close. A 2017 study by Fidelity Investments found 88% of millionaires to be "self-made". Another study by Dr. Thomas Stanley (author of Millionaire Next Door) found 20% of millionaires inherited their wealth and 80% started with nothing.
While I agree that poor people overpay for branded/expensive clothes, everything else you have said in this video have been either wrong or non-significant. Rich are rich because of their knowledge of money not because they save pennies and dollars on coffee or energy saving lights or etc. Example: A coffee cup on average costs $3.5. In a year it comes to $1277.5 and a coffee machine costs about $500, but you never mentioned the cost of coffee, cream and sugar and the TIME it takes to make your own coffee every day.
The time it takes to make your coffee? How is that any different to standing in a queue at Starbucks waiting for somebody else to make it for you? Not to mention the time queuing up waiting to order/pay, and the time it takes to travel to and from the coffee shop. Also, I highly doubt you'd be spending $800 a year on coffee and cream. Also, a coffee machine lasts for many years, so your savings will become even greater.
@@oh-totoro You did not get my point. I only used the coffee as an example . If you take it literally, you could easily make your coffee at work where you not only will avoid waiting in queue you will save on coffee, cream and sugar as well as the coffee machine.
@@lisa9867 I have no doubt you make the best coffee. Everyone,s taste buds are different and we know best what we would like or how we would like it. That us not the point here.
Solomon K. You must know some well off poor people if they are able to afford branded/expensive clothes. In my experience it's only the rich that can do that
You never hear a poor person having to file for bankruptcy. Thats rich people problems. How often do you hear poor people getting audited by the IRS? Never. I dont fully agree with this video. All rich people dont think smart when it comes to money
Suits are an extremely useful and versatile clothing item. On top of the fact that they are more necessary in higher circles. Also $1000 is just breaking the barrier of a “good suit”. Jeans are a completely different story. Professionalism > fashion
let's see: one pound of coffee makes 48 six ounce cups or 34 eight ounce cups for about $.27 per cup the lest you will pay at MacDonald is $1.00 and at Starbucks is $2.10. one LB of sugar is 190 tea spoons and you can get 240 tea spoons from a quart of milk. so you tell me what is the better buy?If you don't have a coffee maker then check out thrift shops before going to Walmart
I call BS on some of this. There are minimum expenses to just live comfortable and eat normal or healthy. Try meetng some of those needs with over priced housing, inflated grocery prices, utilities, gasoline/travel, and etc. Some people work two jobs just to have a little money to enjoy after their first job checks are consumed by just the mimimum necessities. What I mean by a minimum expense example is a limit like a comfotable living space can't be purchased for a $1 a month. It's a matter of luck, inflation, ratios of income to minimum expected expenses, bell curves, and linear regressions. This country has been gradually going down the road toward hyper-inflation. IOW, the American purchasing power is getting worse day by day.
The making of this video is unaware of the fact that the poor cannot afford to buy often so they go for something that would last long. He must be some fool. He don't know how it feels like to be poor. He think poor people show off and the rich did just the opposite. He dont know how most of the rich show off and corrupt and cheat people. Rich people often are misers, they don't give and if they give they want it to be acknowledged while the poor man just give and forget it. I think I can contradict every point he mentions here. One last thing how can he think the poor dont see opportunities. They see lots of opportunities taken away by the rich. The poor people usually cannot take risk because he has nothing if he loss while the rich doesn't care even if he just throw away thousands of money or anything so he take risk like its a game. If he wins its better but even if he lost he is still alright with it. I think some people, manybe including this man who made the video are born to criticise and compare without doing reality check.
Rich people create business which in turn give other people job opportunities. Rich people often own property portfolios which also provide housing for others. Rich people are often problem solvers, hence the reason why society rewards them accordingly. A lot of rich people also give to charity, like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet. I’d like to remind you that the most philanthropic person in history Mother Theresa was actually a billionaire. Being angry with people more fortunate than you will not improve your situation, if you want your life to improve you have to learn to express gratitude for the things that you already have. Educate your self, and become useful to those around you. Stop being angry. Be grateful for today. God bless you.
I don’t know man. Where I’m from, we have some poor people buying designer clothes they can’t afford not because they’ll last long but because they want to brag about having designers. I personally know of someone who borrowed money to have her hair done instead for paying for her tuition. I think they do it because they want to temporarily feel good, given that their life situation sucks.
This video should have the name changed to "How to make intelligent purchases," or "How to stay out of the poor house." I know plenty of wealthy people who go by just the opposite line of thinking. They have the money, and they flaunt it. Though many of my poor friends don't have money, but they use credit lines to rack up dept, believing they can someday make as much as they spend. Learning to live dept free is where that pesky math we learned in school comes into play. If your outgo exceeds your income, your upkeep will be your downfall. Want to increase your net worth? Stay in school, get married and stay married to the same person, don't have kids until you are married and have a stable job, don't rack up credit card dept, pay off every credit card every month so you don't pay interest, don't buy a car or house you don't need and don't do drugs... and don't forget to follow the tips on this page as well. :D Pretty simple really.
This video clearly shows there is a difference between how rich people, and poor people think. The difference is, rich people have exactly 0 understanding of what it means to not be wealthy, and what its like to live without expendable income in the first place. The whole argument that this is the way it is because "some rich people are self made" is ignoring the fact that many, if not the vast majority, of wealthy people are in the position they're in because of the wealth of their parents and family, and their ability to support them as they made these risky investments, or just focused on building wealth in the first place. You sound like the people who act like Donald Trump is a self made man even though his dad gave him 10 million dollars when he turned 18. I could live the rest of my life off less than a million dollars, more financially comfortable than I do off working 60 hours a week for "decent" middle class pay.
I think my mentality is the rich person one. My parents taught me from an early age to manage my own pocket money, and I only spend when I have to or if I can finally afford something that I've been saving up for. I can actually relate to many of those mind sets. I'm not rich, though. Neither rich nor poor. I live with my parents, and still in school. I watched this video out of curiosity about whatever it was. Less people in my country are either rich or poor.
In some parts, the rich spend a lesser part of their total earnings in taxes. In e.g. Germany, income on capital like interests and stocks have a solid tax of 25% while taxes on labour income are much higher.
Craig B Even Warren Buffet admits that his secretary pays more of her earnings in taxes than he does. After all the tax breaks, tax shelters, loopholes and off-shore accounts, the rich really do pay less of their income in taxes. We live in a country which dispenses corporate welfare. The average earner will pay even more in taxes while the rich pay even less. Trump's tax cuts will end for the average earner in a few years but tax cuts for the rich will increase. The rest of us will have to pick up the slack. Wages for average workers have been stagnant for decades. The bulk of the nation's wealth is in the hands of fewer and fewer people. The average CEO salary used to be about 20% more than the average worker at the turn of the 20th century. That increased to about 200% near the end of the 20th century and now it's about 800% more. The working class and the middle class suffer the most (what's left of the middle class). This is becoming a country of a few haves and many have-nots. I hope that you live in a gated community.
The truth in general.. Rich people: Spends frivolously and is not about energy saving. Wears expensive brands for the look. Middle class who were not mentioned: Savvy with money. Buys good quality clothing on sale. Likely to be the most content people. Poor people: May have to be savvy with money but might not be good with money and be in debt if buying expensive things. Wears cheap clothing and buys cheap food.
It's closer to the reality but not entirely true, some rich people cherish their money so they don't purchase expensive goods. But I got confused when people say 'poor people buy designer brands because they are trying to look rich'.
It's a lot of middle class people who are the ones deep in debt; trying to keep up with each other, making sure they look like the brady bunch. A lot of poor people never acquire enough money/credit to incur debt- so because the don't have credit it makes it impossible to get loans for businesses, new cars, or homes. This inability to purchase the American dream leads to hopelessness, and a constant cycle of poor money management.
Here's something you missed, hmm, being not able to pay for health insurance, raking up tens of thousands if not more so in student loan debt, having no money for emergency care as a result, working more than two jobs that barely covers your rent, let alone food, utilities. . I make less than $25,000 a year after tax, and you think after paying for all those things I have money for luxuries? Unlike people like Jeff Bezos, Donald Trump, with their displays of Yachts, multiple homes, cars, planes etc. This is a blatant insult to the poor, whereas guys like Trump and Wall Street often gamble others money, our money is ours and our families not someone else's, therefore we are more careful about risks., rich take no responsibility because of this or for the consequences, often in the case of corporate heads and businesses, they get bailouts, we don't.
Also instead of always complaining about others who have money, change your mentality. Work hard. Take risks. And keep on pushing. Eventually if you do it right you will make it.
Please do not blame Trump! He makes America great again. To take up a lot of study loans, not being sure you can have a good job accordingly, is your fault.
Is there anything we might have missed?

James Aitchison Agreed. Case in point, uber rich multi billionaire Paul Allen from Microsoft, had a hangar full of expensive toys, but needed more time to play with it all.

You make it sound like "poor" people have no common sense.
It is just pure libertarian propaganda, of course they make it sound like that.

This video seems more like a "Expensive things that are cheaper in the long run" than the qualities self made rich people have that poor people make.
I’ve been seeing it coming on on mine as well 🧐 why!!? Why?!? Why?!???

Just because they have 1 million in cash doesn't mean that they're rich.

Being Rich or Poor is a state of inner self! Materials gathered, aren't as valuable as projecting Love for your Neighbors or your Fellow Man!!🤔👍🙏

Yes. And he THINKS the middle class is THE POOR, because he is JUST THAT DENSE AND INSULATED!
I agree totally with your comment abut the rich and MORALS! As a retired Lawyer, I saw MANY A CROOKED LAWYER get rich, while honest lawyers made a decent wage and got stiffed by their clients!

“CONTENTMENT is the new RICHEST”
Thank you
If i spent thounds of dollars on a stove or shower that I cannot afford, I most definitely will be dirt poor. Your words are well written in truth.
mizzmolly.

You need to do some research into the typical millionaire . You'd be surprised how they live .
That's not a rich person mentality. That's the mindset of a Scrooge McDuck in the making -and I do mean that in the best possible way.
Yet you’re some how able to afford internet, a phone, the phone bill and all this... you’re not poor at all my guy..

If you are making all of your monthly bills on time, you are not poor.

Matias Sebastian he said 1300 a year if u buy coffee every day coffee matches cost less than 500$

Rappers brag about there money all the time then they wonder why they go bankrupt
They usually hire a huge entourage of hangers-on, add drugs and the money will be gone before you know it!
Think about what they do.... they never go bankrupt

Yes, because there has been not a single poor person who used these methods and crawled their way up

Yep
Laws of mathematics prevent everyone to be rich at the same time.
You’ve hit the nail on the head.
Thanks for the INFO Or Gat!
Or Gat I’m going to start doing that. Thanks for the advice

Facts
Many rich people actually started out very poor. Some even homeless.
I make my own coffee because I just think I make it best. I only buy coffee when traveling and it usually isn't as good as what I can make.
In my experience it's only the rich that can do that
That's bullcrap rich people spend shitload of money on suits 1000s
Crispis Gamer NO!Only hype icons do that (like rice gum lilpump )and others
Real rich and successful businessmen think economically, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t treat themselves from time to time
You never hear a poor person having to file for bankruptcy. Thats rich people problems. How often do you hear poor people getting audited by the IRS? Never. I dont fully agree with this video. All rich people dont think smart when it comes to money
Bill gates don’t wear Gucci 😂
Suits are an extremely useful and versatile clothing item. On top of the fact that they are more necessary in higher circles. Also $1000 is just breaking the barrier of a “good suit”. Jeans are a completely different story. Professionalism > fashion
Some rich people are mean to poor people
SOME is the wrong word . You should replace it with MOST.
A rich person told me that she would make a girl. I responded arrogantly, I will make you a boy in two different ways and areas.
Good, lol
Some poor people are mean to rich people.
some poor people are mean to rich, who cares if your rich or poor to be mean , poor blame others and thats why they are poor
Congrats Bright Side on making over 4 million dollars through channel views! You are rich, but do you think like a rich person?
will that coffee machine work without milk, coffee powder, sugar. what about that money
let's see: one pound of coffee makes 48 six ounce cups or 34 eight ounce cups for about $.27 per cup the lest you will pay at MacDonald is $1.00 and at Starbucks is $2.10. one LB of sugar is 190 tea spoons and you can get 240 tea spoons from a quart of milk. so you tell me what is the better buy?If you don't have a coffee maker then check out thrift shops before going to Walmart

Yes, bless those that have worked hard and earned their way to inherit their family's long line of wealth and evade taxes.
This video should also be called "7 ways to comfort yourself for being poor"
Kent Yip ow well😂
The making of this video is unaware of the fact that the poor cannot afford to buy often so they go for something that would last long.
Not necessarily a fool at all.
Ngam Goimei I dont agree with this guy but dude you are even bigger fool
Summarize--your too wordy!
Pretty simple really.
Debt not dept
There are many rich people who live ordinary lifestyles.
finally somone gets it ;)
It's not about how much Money you Make, But How much MONEY you Keep!
-Robert Kiyosaki
Wrong some started with nothing at all just a regular Joe Bloggs

I think my mentality is the rich person one. My parents taught me from an early age to manage my own pocket money, and I only spend when I have to or if I can finally afford something that I've been saving up for. I can actually relate to many of those mind sets. I'm not rich, though. Neither rich nor poor. I live with my parents, and still in school. I watched this video out of curiosity about whatever it was. Less people in my country are either rich or poor.
Poor people spend more of their income on housing, food and pay a higher percentage of their earnings on taxes.
In some parts, the rich spend a lesser part of their total earnings in taxes. In e.g. Germany, income on capital like interests and stocks have a solid tax of 25% while taxes on labour income are much higher.
That's because rich people can afford to buy a house without taking out a mortgage with interest rates.
Craig B
Even Warren Buffet admits that his secretary pays more of her earnings in taxes than he does.
I blame predatory lenders.
@E axe what? 😂
The truth in general..
Madeline Jensen lol are you middle class? You sound bias
It's closer to the reality but not entirely true, some rich people cherish their money so they don't purchase expensive goods. But I got confused when people say 'poor people buy designer brands because they are trying to look rich'.
Madeline Jensen there is also a difference between old money and new money
Maybe you should have gotten a better degree because I have never heard of anyone getting a job with a college degree and making 25k a year.
Declan Lacey, I know many people with doctorates who make 20,000 or less a year, so maybe you should try visiting the real world.
Also, Declan Lacey, what's it like living in fantasy land?
