I'm really enjoying these comparison videos. Sam's comparison of the Fire and Axe has me interested in a game I've never played. Zee's comparison in this video has me definitely buying a game I've played and really liked, but missed the boat on buying in its previous version. Keep up the great work guys!
Really enjoying the comparisons of mechanics in these new comparative videos that Sam and you have started Zee. Really excited to see more +1 Mission Red Planet, Alien Frontiers, Merchant of Venus, etc. Eric Summerer did a comparison of MOV copies at one point and I really enjoyed that but I think it was part of his top 100 list. I think the comparisons could be a whole new channel in themselves!

I really appreciate this, as someone who's hedging on upgrading to the new printing for full price. I just recommend scripting out the comparisons/explanations a little more.
Anyone has any opinion about the maps? Which one is better for the game? Would it be worth it draw the roads etc. like it was in the 2nd edition? Or is there any real difference. From the video I can see that some cities are not as well connected as in 3rd edition than it is in 2nd edition.

Wait (I've never played any version of this game), so Mina Harker, the diminutive (though admittedly pissed) young Victorian bride, comes face-to-face with Count Dracula and...she walks up and punches him in the face? A) how much damage could that possibly do, and B) Punch? Not Shoot, or Stab, or Set Aflame, or Axe...we're going with Punch? Interesting choice.
That's a pointless question. Punching is a combat action and it's there mainly because you can't use the same card every turn, so if you happen to have no item cards you alternate between Punch and Dodge as your only possible combat actions (a punch equals 1 damage, by the way). Unless you're trying to escape with the Escape card, obviously.

Even game-mechanics wise though, they could have had the default, ran-out-of options, action be something less silly than punching Dracula. I feel like that would, in practice, do less damage than is represented by 1 point of game damage. She could have a crucifix she always has on her to stun him or even a knife that is not discarded and always stays with the character. They could have made anything the default attack, but they chose to have Mina Harker punch Dracula. It's kind of funny, but breaks the thematic immersion a bit in what seems like an incredibly thematic game overall.
Yes. I agree. I own both Eldritch Horror and v3 Fury Of Dracula. And the only difference is that travel is restricted in the night phase. There is no day night cycle in Eldritch. Also the values on the Fury of Dracula v3 tickets define length of travel along yellow or white rail lines.

Great Video, I really like this style of comparison. I think it would be good to see on other games that are very close as well.

2nd edition map looks better to me. Sam and Zee both seem to agree on the review video for the 3rd edition game. It has a more "Victorian" type look.
