The third edition of Fury of Dracula features all-new art and graphic design crafted to complement the game's intuitive, thematic mechanisms. Rounds are now broken into day and night, with hunters taking actions during both, while Dracula can act only at night. Combat is now more streamlined and decisive, and new rumor tokens allow Dracula to mislead hunters and extend the terrible reach of his influence. Count Dracula triumphs if he advances his influence track to thirteen; if the hunters can defeat him before then, they save the continent of Europe and win the game.
The fourth edition of Fury of Dracula contains pre-painted miniatures instead of unpainted figures, a different rulebook and different card sizes.

Oh and NEVER start in Cagliari. Because you can’t put an encounter there and then must go to sea. You’re basically giving the hunters damage in exchange for no gain.
What if you were to start there and use Dark Call right away?
@@LegendaryTactics you're still unable to place an encounter in cagliari. You're giving the hunters free time and you have to move to sea eventually which gives them free information and free damage without placing an encounter. Ireland however can be good for all the reasons mentioned by ya'll.

The trickier part of the game for us is to keep ahead of the hunters on the metagame side - so far it's only me who played as Dracula, and my hunters are shifting their strategy constantly.. Some very good tips in there, thanks😁
You're welcome! Playing Dracula can be really tough against a skilled group of hunters. Good luck!
Stacking events using lairs, hide and using bats to move a hunter into a damage event, can be advantageous to delay Hunters further. 👍🏼
@@cain5217 Thanks😁 We've not really played using power cards yet, we'll see if the game will see more plays as lately it's been pushed out by Unfathomable...
The Misdirect card that you showed on screen states that you can _not_ clear a sea location(?) as you mentioned @ 14:23 would be a great use of the card.

Not sure I’d classify plotting as a defensive card… it’s an aggressive card that you should use when you think the hunters are going to be defensive.

Do you lnow why the Hideout card lets you clear a Location with a hidden Vampire and then matures the Vampire? In the board game rules it says you can't clear a hideout and mature the Encounter cards.

There's no question that Dracula will have a tough time against skilled hunters. But that makes it more satisfying when Dracula gets the win!
