Watch It Played has officially come full circle! I was introduced to you Rodney with your playthrough of the original Mansions of Madness. You are still my go to channel hoping there is a playthrough of any game I just bought or plan to buy. Keep up the great work!!!
I can’t thank you enough for making these videos. When I got the 2nd edition two years ago I almost gave up on it because (to me, being very green to gaming) it was ALOT to learn. I’ve since came to your channel for several other board games because these tutorials are done so flawlessly!!! I’m happy to say that I completed my 2nd edition mansions of madness collection and when I made my TH-cam video on it without hesitation I had to link your video as I could never do as great a job as you’ve done! Thanks again!!
My experience of mansions of madness : 1.) You set the stage, set the mood and setup the tiles 2.) You get involved in the plot and try to figure out the best strategy to complete the mission 3.) Monsters appear and you die
Yep just finished my first game and monsters showed up and I literally had no way to prevent them from killing one of my characters. Her worst ability was speed and if she tried to evade it used speed if she tried to attack it used speed and if she tried to attack it used speed. That just felt like bs honestly. No skill there just luck. The monster literally spawned on her with no warning and no way to prepare
Haha. I can see how that happens. Just played my first game last night. I got crazy lucky with all my combat rolls and beat the hell out of every cultist and monster with a 2x4. Good game!!
Played Mansion of Madness yesterday and just wanted to say thank you for this video. It meant that I just rolled up to my local game store and started playing, only having to double check one or two things rather than spending ages reading and trying to learn the rules. Thank you for your hard work.
Rodney, you better be planning to do a full playthrough of this one. The legendary Harvey needs to show he's still got it. After all, he's half the reason I subscribed to your awesome channel.
Yeah, it's like the very first video he ever did. Harvey was an amazing hero in that game, and had probably one of the best narrative stories out of any character in a board game they've run since I started watching the channel.
@Giles de Rals if not for that video, i probably wouldn't have subbed to the channel. It was a great start to a great channel. I would love to see a return to where it all began with a brand new version of that amazing game.
Thanks! Heard about this game from a friend. Bought it. Read through the rules. Felt stupid (this was our intro to tabletop games). Watched your video, and will continue to reference it. Super informative, and incredibly well organized. This reduced the learning curve so much.
So nice to know this was helpful Evan - and while it might have presented some challenges at first, I hope you have a fantastic time with the game. This is one I've played a lot, but it's got quite a bit happening for your first tabletop game. That said, once you master it, you'll have an excellent base of board game knowledge under your belt!
best channel to learn the rules. funny, intelligent Rodney and the rest of the gang.no BS included. glad I subscribed and backed on Indiegogo years ago
This is my wife and mine, first board game. Thank you for this guide!! We have been having a blast playing it. We have died each time we have played, but it's still such a fun game!
We have a game play series where we actually play the game. I you're having trouble with the rules, you may find it helpful to watch the first episode of that even, just to see how it all comes together. th-cam.com/video/3mOgbQ4l_iM/w-d-xo.html
Fantastic "How to play" episode. Being the one in our gaming group that explain the rules and often play overlord in games such as Descent, Mansion of Madness, Imperial Assault or Mice and Mystics, i find your videos very helpful as i just toss players a link a week before gamenight. Really saves a ton of time.
Thanks for this!!!! My husband and I tried to play today, saying, "Let's play it by ear", which was the stupidest idea ever. I think he had to talk me down from swiping everything off the table at least five or six times. Definitely should have watched this video first!!!!
I used to watch “how to play” videos in Spanish since it’s my native lang, but damn you are so good explaining such a complicated game like Mansions of Madness that now I’m subscribed to your channel and ready to buy this game. Keep it up!
rodney think you reviews are brilliant, bought this and was worried about the app but its works brilliantly fantastic, the flow and all on the same side, plus stops the hour of set up too . brilliant thanks to your review
I'm quite sure Harvey wasn't on top of the conversion kit characters by accident ;) This really takes me back, I've watched the original playthrough of the 1st edition 3 times through and it was my first real board game playthrough I've watched on video. Been a huge fan of Rodney ever since! Keep up the great work!
Excellent video, this really helped a lot. Thank you, and please continue making learning videos with this format. This is probably the most helpful teaching video I've watched, and I have watched quite a few. I also love the way FFG did the Learn to play, and rules reference books in the 2nd edition of this game.
I love seeing this on your channel. I have to agree with other comments that this is very nostalgic and it just feels right to have you go over the 2nd Edition.
Wow, Rodney. You actually managed to churn this out! Must have took you a long time to get the app to show the examples, like the puzzles, you wanted to highlight. One could easily go insane making this. Remember to roll a horror check!
Played this with my friend and my brother yesterday and man, i wish i would have watched this video before we did. While we played mostly correct, i noticed quiet a few things we messed up or didnt do 100% right. Awesome video
Hello Rodney, I have just entered this world of boardgames and I already love this channel. Excellent explanations and humor!! Can I ask you (and implore) please, do an Eldritch Horror How to Play and Gameplay. There is a new expansion coming second quarter this year, I think it would be good timing. Thank you so much for your dedication, it makes the difference!!
So sorry I never replied to you Rennacius - well, better later than never? First off, thanks for the kind words. I never did get around to an Eldritch Horror tutorial (so many games, so little time). Did you end up playing that expansion?
This must bring u much nostalgia. :) it certainly does for me... Cant believe its been this long and to imagine i only owned like 4 board games at the time before i got hooked on ur channel... :)
Wow. This didn't even felt like 30 minutes had passed. Outstanding work on the script and delivery, and editing. And I don't even have the game, I just watched for fun hahaha
Got this for my birthday 😊 cause I couldn't stop stop! Thank you so much for this video! I'm definitely coming back to your video because you really help!!!! Happy spring!
Great tutorial as always!! Its come full circle for you and the channel Rodney with the first episodes I watched being for the original Mansions of Madness and now the second edition haha. This has become a favourite of the group, we stream the app to a tv via laptop and it works great. Really creates a fun RPG like experience!
I am very glad to see both the actual release of the second edition, and you're How To Play video. Ever since stumbling upon your play through of the first edition last years, I've been excited to try the game for myself. However the complexity of the original, along with the Keeper player requirement, always kept my group from taking the plunge. The new edition is a wonderful direction for players like myself, and I hope that these changes won't prevent you from gaining as much enjoyment from this new edition as you did from the first.
My son loved Betrayal and I though this might be similar. Thank you for this video! My house is full of visual/ hands on learners and I think we can finally attempt to play the game.
Wow this must be the best tutorial video i've ever seen. Thanks alot. I've played this game a couple of times already. And thanks to this clip i realized of some mistakes we were making.
There will be two more in the near future, as already disclosed by the publisher. And as far as I remember they will be for free. But I'm sure they will also release some more as DLC (it's Fantasy Flight after all...)
Thanks Rodney! I was a huge fan of the first chapter of "Mansion"... I will put this game on my list and add the first game to the second edition. Love your channel.
Thanks Rodney for the really in-depth overview of Mansions of Madness. It is now on my Christmas list :) I'm really curious to see how the app side of the game gels with the tabletop side. Space Cowboys have done a great job of integrating technology with their Unlock games. I can't wait for Dec. 25th :) Rockin!
This is an excellent and well informed video. it is much better going through this than their book as the way it is written, some rules are a bit ambiguous. I can't wait to play this game as I got it for my birthday last week! :):) I need to paint the figures though!! haha
@@WatchItPlayed awesome! thank you for responding to an old video! :):) Im just going through the Mansions of Madness gameplay videos - you two are brilliant and I'm enjoying having you on! Thank you again, and hopefully I won't die too much haha
Paul Simister Me too. Played two games and lost both miserably. The biggest problem of the game as I see it now is longevity. Replaying same scenarios is not that fun. Even though the game randomizes houses and things you can still guess what the outcome of some of your actions will be and that kind of ruins the excitement as it removes some of the unknown factor.
first time u reviewed mansions , I bought it, and now because of Ai and for of war effect, and possibility to implement older games , game becomes much easier to prepare and finally additional player is not required to be master and also u can go solo,
Rodders!! Thank you for this video. Immediate Like and Subscribe. About to play for the first time and your explanation was clear, concise and extremely helpful in getting started. All the very best to you and yours. Ed from England
So here is a question my wife, friends and I can't answer. When the mythos event says "affects the player with the most will" but we have the same amount, who does it apply to? Is this one of the cases where we can decide who or is it to us both? Bought this game because of you a we are loving it. Keep up the awesome work! You're my go to guy for board games.
Excellent video Rodney. You can hear the excitement and delight in your voice in the intro and closing. If you're going to do revisits, are you going to do one for Descent 2nd Edition now that it has app support as well?
Getting this game second hand (without any organization from the previous owners) was really difficult. But I think I've got a good handle on the game. Me and my family will be able to play tommorow for our little board game hang out
The first MoM always interested me, but if I was going to have a "DM" game it was going to be an RPG so I never broke into it. I am torn on the App though if it will be fun to play with so I think I will wait till we get the playthrough before breaking down on this one.
This video was awesome, started playing with some friends today and as the first type of this game we play it was confusing and watching this we missed a few things 😂
I loved watching your play-through of the original (the spooky atmosphere and the hoods too hohoho). Is this second edition the way to go if given the choice between the two versions?
Hey Power - I avoid reviewing or recommending on the channel. That said, the first edition is out of print now, so getting the second edition would probably be the way to do (new expansions and products are coming out for it).
Great how to play Rodney. Wanted to ask about your opinion on using the tablet in the game. I'm sure purists will not like adding electronic devices to boardgames, but it would be great to hear your opinion. Do you think that the app makes the game better/easier/more enjoyable/different?
I avoid offering opinions on these sorts of things generally, as it's going to be entirely up to the individual gamer and their tastes. Some will like it, some won't. There's no question in my mind though - this version is the one I'll play from now on.
Really interested in getting this, the video also really helps in letting me know about the content! Would you say this has high replay value? Or are the expansions necessary for more fresh experiences?
I tend to avoid weighing in on replay value, because that is so dependent on the player. What one person might find replayable, another might not. For what it's worth, I've played the scenarios in the core box multiple times. But again, that doesn't mean you'd do that and enjoy it.
After years of considering (since it's not a cheap game to buy), i was finally able to set aside some savings to buy this gem. Hoping to receive it soon 😊
@@WatchItPlayed hi! we played it for the first time last weekend and everyone had a blast! (even though we lost). Anyway, here are some questions that popped up, and i was hoping you could help me out: 1. Do investigators/monsters suffer damage when Fire is introduced in their space during Mythos phase? 2. Does Fire destroy barricades on barricaded doors? 3. Do we need to be in the same space when speaking with Non-playable characters? 4. During mythos, when there is no investigator within range, and the monster is supposed to move to closest investigator within range, will the monster forfeit movement? Or will it move towards the nearest investigator (even if the investigator is on a separate room)? 5. Does Fire spread through water?
@@the.nikkoman 1. Fire damage is triggered at specific times. Here's what you'll want (from the Rules Reference document, be sure to check this, as it's a handy place to go when playing if you need a quick reminder): "Whenever an investigator moves into a space containing Fire, he suffers one facedown Damage. After an investigator in a space containing Fire performs an action other than the move action, if there is Fire in his space, he suffers one facedown Damage. Whenever an investigator forfeits an action in a space containing Fire, he suffers one facedown Damage." 2. No. 3. Yes. 4. It still moves towards the nearest, even if the nearest is in a separate room or not "visible" to them. 5. There are no rules that I can see that say fire can't enter a water space.
@@WatchItPlayed wow! Thanks for taking the time to answer the inquiries!! 1. So I guess short answer is "No" then since it's the fire that moved into the investigator's space during Mythos Phase and is not activated yet since no action is taken. 2. Got it 3. Got it. I read somewhere that it can be interpreted as not making too much noise to avoid monsters, or if there are many NPC's around, you need to go near the person you're talking to. 4. Yeah, me too. I guess it's up to the players and their interpretation. We prefer not to spread fire to the water as part of the immersion. Again, thank you for your time!
Within range is up to three spaces away. "Range cannot be counted through walls or doors unless an effect specifically allows it. Range can be counted through impassable borders."
Is that Range definition the same for both investigators and monsters? And the same for combat and movement? In other words, in the mythos phase can a monster attack through a door for example? If the app says to move a monster within range of closest investigator, is range counted through doors? Sorry, but I'm rather confused on the whole Range thing.
The range definition is the same for monsters and investigators, and combat and movement. The range of effects that use the phrase “within range” is up to three spaces away. Range cannot be counted through walls or doors unless an effect specifically allows it (so, unless other wise stated, you cannot attack through a door). Range can be counted through impassable borders (the dashed lines).
5 minutes in: "And that's the setup." Me: "Sold!" I remember extremly long setups from 1st edition. The game didn't hit the table as much just because of that. Here's hoping FFG brings enough copies to Essen, so I can try and buy one.
If you as game master prepare the scenario, you could even setup it in up to 10 minutes. You have to build your item stacks and order them already, so that you only have to place them after setting up the map. While doing this, the investigators can choose their characters. This is how I always did it. So at least you have to decide which scenario you are going to play and this only works for one scenario per session. But since our sessions most times last 2-4 hours, that should be alright.
Thanks for another top-notch How To Play video. I encourage other viewers to drop a little something in the tip jar to reward these efforts.
Thank you kindly for the nice words of encouragement. Have a great time playing Vasken!
"You can attack unarmed, but thankfully we have a gun"
I loved that phrase soooo much, excelent video btw
Glad you enjoyed :)
This video is 10 times more enlightening than the official rules and how-to-play booklets that come with the game 😂
So glad you found it helpful Mitchell!
Agreed; I love their stuff, but it would be helpful(to me at least) if they improved the learning experience.
Watch It Played has officially come full circle! I was introduced to you Rodney with your playthrough of the original Mansions of Madness. You are still my go to channel hoping there is a playthrough of any game I just bought or plan to buy. Keep up the great work!!!

My experience of mansions of madness :
1.) You set the stage, set the mood and setup the tiles
2.) You get involved in the plot and try to figure out the best strategy to complete the mission
3.) Monsters appear and you die
That's honestly true. Except I almost beat the zombie one once, but I think we took to many turns (The zombie one is a 5-star).
Yes it's a very hard game. But the app is not too strict so you can allow extra actions or gain more clue tokens if you want.
Yep that sums it up pretty good. I love it xD
That's great to hear, glad it was helpful!
Rodney, you better be planning to do a full playthrough of this one. The legendary Harvey needs to show he's still got it. After all, he's half the reason I subscribed to your awesome channel.
did he do a playthrough of the first edition?
Yeah, it's like the very first video he ever did. Harvey was an amazing hero in that game, and had probably one of the best narrative stories out of any character in a board game they've run since I started watching the channel.
Yes he did. Was the first game for the channel, even before the channel officially existed.
@Adran same here, what an incredibly funny series that was, with Andrea and the Japanese girl, fond memories.
Thanks for the kind words - and for supporting the channel!
Your so good at explaining these complicated games ! :P
Very nice of you to say - thanks!
Got to agree with the Beanie Boy, it's clear, objectivly speaking, and step by step. Keep it up!
Omg yes and thank you-- we were totally lost trying to play this game until seeing this and how well you explained it. Thank you!!!
He's very good at explaining. But this is NOT a complicated game. This is an average heaviness.
I wish i had friends to play boardgames with.. :/
Well there are solitaire games out there, and games that you can play solitaire! :)
Try meetup.com that is where I meet a bunch of people and we play games every week
This game can easily be played solitaire. However like Chad mentioned meetup is a good way to meet other gamers.
And you can play this one solo (which was not possible with first edition)
yeah, it can be hard finding a game group some times - I hope you find one soon!
After comparing this video to the first Mansion Of Madness video you seem like a completely different chanel, keep up the amazing work!
Well, I certainly hope the spirit of it remains the same, but we've changed the wall behind us and the table, to be sure :)
I can't tell you how many times I watch this video to refresh my memory on how this game plays. Truly a big thank you for making this!
So glad to know this has been helpful - have a great time playing :)
This is my wife and mine, first board game. Thank you for this guide!! We have been having a blast playing it. We have died each time we have played, but it's still such a fun game!
When you lose but are still having fun - that's when you know you've found a game that's a good fit for you!
Thanks for this, we played the game last night to try to get a feel for it and your guide has helped clear up a lot of problems we had working it out.
Very glad to hear it was helpful!
This game is insane to learn we've been playing for 5 hours still figuring it out
We have a game play series where we actually play the game. I you're having trouble with the rules, you may find it helpful to watch the first episode of that even, just to see how it all comes together. th-cam.com/video/3mOgbQ4l_iM/w-d-xo.html

That's a tough one to play by just winging it - you were brave :) Glad the video helped!
I remember way back when you started this with 1st Ed Mansions of Madness. Thrilled to see how far you've come congratulations.
Thanks Kevin, it's been fun revisiting this game through the new edition.
I used to watch “how to play” videos in Spanish since it’s my native lang, but damn you are so good explaining such a complicated game like Mansions of Madness that now I’m subscribed to your channel and ready to buy this game. Keep it up!
So nice to hear Eysenck!
Thank goodness you took the time to do this. The game seems cool, but the confusion is real. We really appreciate the help!
You're very welcome - happy investigating!
Thank you! Just got this game for my brother and didn't feel like opening the box for him, and now we can play straitght out of the box :D
Fantastic! Have a GREAT time playing!
Got this game last year from my dad. Finally opened it last weekend. Thank you for the help!
You're very welcome - I hope you have a great time playing (and what a nice gift!)

Glad you enjoyed checking it out Neil!
I'm quite sure Harvey wasn't on top of the conversion kit characters by accident ;)
This really takes me back, I've watched the original playthrough of the 1st edition 3 times through and it was my first real board game playthrough I've watched on video.
Been a huge fan of Rodney ever since!
Keep up the great work!
It was absolutely no mistake :) I had to sneak him in somehow :) I think we should bring him back for the new play through - what do you say?
It's like waiting for Christmas! Please make it happen! :D

Glad to hear this was helpful Slippy - all the best on your next adventure!
Thanks Rodney! I just got this game to the table for the first time. Your walk through came in handy!
So glad to hear it - we were just playing the other day as well :)
Even when I think all the rules I still watch all the watch and play videos to see if there's anything I missed! Thanks rules master Rodney! :D
You're welcome :) This Roy?
+Watch It Played yes indeed!
Thanks a lot for your complete explanation.
It is really easy to understand, even for non-native English speakers.
Thanks a lot.
That's really nice to hear - thanks for the kind comment.

It really does Lyrisse - I did not expect this game to get a second edition, and I'm delighted to revisit it again with you guys!
Rodney you have done it again! Sold me on a game i was on the fence about.
Glad you enjoyed what you saw!
Thanks Rod, you run by far the best board game channel online and I look forward to each video you guys produce!
Very kind of you to say Cole - more coming soon!
we play board games for an hr at lunch everyday and I bought this and can't wait to play .Thanks for the learning phase.
You're very welcome! Hope you have a great time playing it!
Just copped this for my bro for Christmas, thanks my guy!
I hope you have a great time playing!
Wow. This didn't even felt like 30 minutes had passed. Outstanding work on the script and delivery, and editing.
And I don't even have the game, I just watched for fun hahaha
Very kind of you to say Augusto, glad you enjoyed. I hope you get a chance to try the game some day!
Thanks
You're very welcome Jeremy. Thanks for the kind tip - have a great time playing!
Got this for my birthday 😊 cause I couldn't stop stop! Thank you so much for this video! I'm definitely coming back to your video because you really help!!!! Happy spring!
This is one of my favs - hope you enjoy!
you have some of the best, comprehensible and straight forward tutorials. appreciate them!
So kind of you to say - thanks Justin!
I was doing a some things wrong and misunderstood some rules. Thanks for this video.
You're very welcome - glad it was helpful!
I've heard of people streaming the app to a larger device like a TV. I'm going to try that too!

Thanks for the video, you're awesome. Best rule runthrough I could find online!
Very kind of you to say!
How appropriate, I learned the first edition from you and here you are showing the new one :-)
Happy to have you join us again :)
***** Plese don't sacrifice me to Zgorth- I am not even Canadian!
Thank you so much for that, the rules book is so hard to understand... Your video was a light in the dark for me!
Glad I could assist!
Group playing tonight and it's been about 1.5 years so this made for a great rule recap!
I hope you had fun playing!
Just got this game, watched your video and was up an running!!.Thank You So Much!!..(We didn't make it very far we all went insane and lost lol)!!
hey, going insane is part of the fun :) Good luck on your next attempt!
Wife and I are looking into getting this game. Thank you for this
You're very welcome Casey!
i just bought this game today and don't know how to play. This helped so much! Thank you!
So glad this was helpful - have a great time adventuring!
Thank you for this vid!! We didnt know what the dice were for or what counted as actions. Soooo much more useful than the instructions
Very glad this helped - have a fun time playing!
My son loved Betrayal and I though this might be similar. Thank you for this video! My house is full of visual/ hands on learners and I think we can finally attempt to play the game.
I really hope you all have a great time playing (and saving the world!)
Rodney thanks I was playing and never understood the modification think with the dice, brilliant thanks I understand it now lol keep up the good work
Very happy to help Neil!
Wow this must be the best tutorial video i've ever seen. Thanks alot. I've played this game a couple of times already. And thanks to this clip i realized of some mistakes we were making.
So glad you liked it - and that it helped you correct a few possible mistakes :)
YES!!! I was waiting for this, thank you.... I hope that there will be more than 4 scenarios in the near future. :)
There will be two more in the near future, as already disclosed by the publisher. And as far as I remember they will be for free. But I'm sure they will also release some more as DLC (it's Fantasy Flight after all...)
+Benjamin Krämer - sweet thanks.
I've now played the first scenario 5 times - your mileage may vary, but that hasn't been a problem for us :)
I'm starting to see that myself, thank you. :)
Thanks Rodney! I was a huge fan of the first chapter of "Mansion"... I will put this game on my list and add the first game to the second edition. Love your channel.
Glad you enjoyed this!
I hope you have a great Christmas and a lovely time playing!
This is an excellent and well informed video. it is much better going through this than their book as the way it is written, some rules are a bit ambiguous. I can't wait to play this game as I got it for my birthday last week! :):) I need to paint the figures though!! haha
What a great birthday gift - I hope you have a lot of great adventures (and don't die TOO much :) )
@@WatchItPlayed awesome! thank you for responding to an old video! :):) Im just going through the Mansions of Madness gameplay videos - you two are brilliant and I'm enjoying having you on!
Thank you again, and hopefully I won't die too much haha
Fantastic tutorial. This really helped. Thanks
So nice to hear - have a great time playing!
I feel a bit nostalgic watching this. :)
Yes that's my thought too
:)
And you would - you've been here since the beginning!
Yes! We've been here since the beginning. :)
We reached a sort of full circle.
So when is the playthrough coming, Rodney? So excited for this!
As soon as we're able. Waiting on a couple of things for it.
***** I will be waiting with bated breath, lol
Only just picked this game up (had my eye on it for ages). Thanks for the great tutorial and keep up the good work :)
You're very welcome Paul, I hope you have fun playing!
Paul Simister Me too. Played two games and lost both miserably. The biggest problem of the game as I see it now is longevity. Replaying same scenarios is not that fun. Even though the game randomizes houses and things you can still guess what the outcome of some of your actions will be and that kind of ruins the excitement as it removes some of the unknown factor.
first time u reviewed mansions , I bought it, and now because of Ai and for of war effect, and possibility to implement older games , game becomes much easier to prepare and finally additional player is not required to be master and also u can go solo,
Glad you're liking what you see!
Another amazing job ! Thank you so much for helping the community the way you do :)
A pleasure - thanks for enjoying!
Very nicely done on this how to. Extremely informative and very nice tone in your explanations.
Very kind of you to say - thanks!
I love this game. We got all the expansions and it's just so much fun.
So glad you're enjoying - I'm behind a few expansions, but I've got them too :)
Rodders!! Thank you for this video. Immediate Like and Subscribe. About to play for the first time and your explanation was clear, concise and extremely helpful in getting started. All the very best to you and yours. Ed from England
Thanks Ed - hope you had a great time playing!
Another great video making a complicated game easy to understand. Thank you! This is a fun game!
So glad you found this helpful S!
Ive been playing it so wrong! Thanks man :)
So glad this was helpful - have fun!
In the case of a tie (even something like this), the players decide who will be affected. So glad you're enjoying the game - one of my favorites!
@@WatchItPlayed thanks so much for the answer on an 8 year old video! :) keep up the awesome work!
Excellent video Rodney. You can hear the excitement and delight in your voice in the intro and closing. If you're going to do revisits, are you going to do one for Descent 2nd Edition now that it has app support as well?
No plans to revisit Descent, but I felt mansions of Madness deserved special treatment :) I may be a little biased.
Thanks Rodney! Ready to roll for tomorrow morning, 3P!
Hope you have a great time playing Jamie :)
indeed we did.
Getting this game second hand (without any organization from the previous owners) was really difficult. But I think I've got a good handle on the game. Me and my family will be able to play tommorow for our little board game hang out
That was probably a lot of sorting! Have a great time playing.
Extraordinary explanation!!! Thanks a lot!!! Great Game BTW!!!
So glad you've enjoyed playing it!
Ik this is a really old video but still very in-depth and helpful 👍🏽
So glad you liked it!
Just stumbled across this video. I think I'm going to have to dust off the old box and play me some Mansions of Madness
Do it! Have fun :)
The first MoM always interested me, but if I was going to have a "DM" game it was going to be an RPG so I never broke into it. I am torn on the App though if it will be fun to play with so I think I will wait till we get the playthrough before breaking down on this one.
Play through in the works!
This video was awesome, started playing with some friends today and as the first type of this game we play it was confusing and watching this we missed a few things 😂
Hey, glad to hear the video was helpful - have a great time playing!
Very clear Thank you!👍👍👍
Great to hear - have fun!
This was really good. Can you tell us if/when you plan on doing a How To Play for Arkham Horror or Eldritch Horror?
No plans to currently, but I don't pre-announce, so it's possible in the future.
Great video. Nice clear explanations and visuals!
Thanks so much - glad you liked it!
Best tutorial about this game. Thanks.
Very kind of you to say - happy adventuring in haunted mansions!
Theres so many rules I didn't know!! very knowledgble
So glad it was helpful!
Very glad this was helpful!
Would not been able to play this game if not not for this guide ❤
So nice to know this was helpful - have a great time playing!
Outstanding. Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
You'll have future generations coming back to this video to thank you haha
I hope it's helpful :)
Yay, Rodney has a Mansions of Madness tutorial. Goodbye manual!
Hope you have a great time playing!!
This takes me back... It is where Watch It Played all begin (At Rodney's basement if I remember correctly).
Yep, and we're still shooting in the same location (we just have a new wall up behind us now, and a different table :)
After years of considering (since it's not a cheap game to buy), i was finally able to set aside some savings to buy this gem. Hoping to receive it soon 😊
I hope you have a fantastic time playing Nikko!
@@WatchItPlayed oh i think i will! Thank you!
@@WatchItPlayed hi! we played it for the first time last weekend and everyone had a blast! (even though we lost). Anyway, here are some questions that popped up, and i was hoping you could help me out:
Whenever an investigator forfeits an action in a space containing Fire, he suffers one facedown Damage."
2. No.
3. Yes.
2. Got it
Finally got this, thanks as always for the great videos.
You're very welcome JC, I hope you have a great time playing!
Rodney, what does it mean to be "within range of a monster"?
Within range is up to three spaces away. "Range cannot be counted through walls or doors unless an effect specifically allows it. Range can be counted through impassable borders."
Ah, thank you. Does that mean that all ranged weapons in this gave have the same range?
+Eyal Itsik Yes.
5 minutes in: "And that's the setup."
Me: "Sold!"
I remember extremly long setups from 1st edition.
I meant with the first edition in my first comment
The setup here is faster and less prone to error than the previous edition, for sure.
Hi Rodney! You must do a playthrough about this! The game that started all!
I agree :)
