The boulder inside the great skeleton is used in a quest, though I forget the name of it. Its with the same girl who was obsessed with guardians in BoTW and the boulder is actually the skeleton's eye.
@@Elysium_01 Came here to say this. Loone sends you on 3 quests, one for each of the great skeletons on the surface. In each quest, you piece the skeleton back together.
That rock underneath the leviathan is actually part of a quest, you find the "guardian lady" Loone over by the Akkala lab, and she sets off on a journey to see all the leviathan bones. Then you can find her over there and she says that the fossil is missing one of "it's cute little eyes" and you have to fit it into the socket where there was a korok in BOTW
I figured out it was an eye and placed it there without knowing there was a quest for it. I looked around the area hoping there was something changed but found nothing so I forgot about it
I knew there were loose bones, and I even slotted them back in where they belong, but I didn't have her quest active, so I've been left wondering what the point was since I last played the game months ago.
12:11 You lucked out while walking through that tunnel. In TOTK, a gloom spawn sits in the deepest part of the bend in that tunnel. Since an NPC that wanders around on that path to the tunnel warns Link of the gloom spawn, I'm pretty sure that path stopped being used due to the gloom spawn.
24:58 The sign is just the end of a series of 10 signs named "Death Mountain Marker". Starting below the stone arch at the entrance of Eldin region, North-West of Foothill Sable, the signs are following the path towards the top of the mountain, passing through Goron City and Bridge of Eldin. Notably, Markers #5 !! (Welcome to Goron City) and #6 (Abandoned North Mine, Heat level: ⭐⭐, No unauthorized access) are absent, while Marker #3 (Southern Mine) has changed to "Mine-Cart Land". Also, Markers #2, #6 and #8 in BOTW were warning players about the increase of heat levels, while in TOTK this is missing due to the changed climate of the region.
I love your deadpan delivery, it makes everything come off as just a liiiiittle sarcastic even when it's genuine, which really works! I'm glad you're making these Hyrule Comparisons, it's fascinating to see all the little differences present! I'd absolutely love to see a Korok video, if it wouldn't drive you insane lol
I was hoping to touch the path from Bridge of Eldin upward that you take with Yonobo in BOTW… For example, the cannon you use to lower the bridge in now a camp with 2 Moblins (I see them as call back to the 2 who were bullying Yonobo) and 1 Bokoblin. The 1st cannon you use to shoot Rudania is replaced with a camp of 2 Bokoblins and 1 Moblin, the 2nd cannon replaced by a Korok and the 3rd is replaced by an Addison sign. Eldin has changed so much between the two games and it's expected to miss things here and there, but it doesn't matter. I love the series and learned a lot in this video, as usual. Can't wait for what's next! Keep up the good work! ❤
dang, yeah i was going to at least include the fact that there were still enemies hanging by that first canon to lower the bridge, and should have taken the time to trace the botw path up the mountain in totk. It feels like a bit of laziness on my part for not doing that now bc the thought definitely came to me, but the script was already a lot. Still, i missed a few good comparisons by missing the canon replacement spots. I'll do better with future entries.
@@TheZeldaEnthusiast That's okay. You can always include this in another video. I would love to help you gather informations for the comparisons series. Maybe I'll jump on Twich sometime. Almost forgot. Do a Korok video please! I want it so badly!
I agree that some of the wells (that were clearly supposed to be there for over 100 years) not being present in BOTW is disappointing. But it doesn't happen often, most wells were already in BOTW. I'm willing to accept a few environmental retcons. After all the devs needed to put content in the game, they couldn't let BOTW restrict them too much. There's one instance I can think of a change that wasn't a retcon but rather a correction. You'll see if you do a map comparison video on Akkala that on top of the citadel there's seemingly a new building. But it was always supposed to be here. Despite not appearing in BOTW, it was always on the map in that game.
3:07 this memory isn't actually how the construct gets the purah pad to give to link. It is actually establishing why the purah pad has warp points to the zonai shrines, and mineru simply gives the pad to the construct so she can work on it. We see zelda warp rauru, sonia, and herself away from the castle with the purah pad in memory 10, and she actually gives the purah pad to the construct that gives it to link in memory 17.
Happy to hear, glad you enjoyed the filming sessions! I'll get working on Lanayru, but it looks like the next episode will be hyrule castle, so it'll have to come after that 😉
Southern mine is one of my favourite spots too in BOTW, I think it's because it is the first settlement in Elgin we come across and its seemingly secluded yet grand and cozy all at once. they did such an amazing job.
7:25 This cave is part of a side quest where you go there at the right time and the sunlight shines through the top entrance making the ground in there glow
I’ve been waiting for this one! :D also, I just noticed you changed your… character (?) On the channel. Idk what to call it…. The sleepy guy is gone lol.
A lot of people have, so I prioritized it. I believe hyrule castle will be the next entry. And yes, i wanted to change the bitmoji character of me to avoid any potential future copyright stuff. The new pfp is my cat, apollo, wearing a link hat
I was gonna comment these 2 things you missed, but I noticed you replied to & hearted comments pointing these out already. Still, it'd feel weird just saying the last part of the comment by itself, so here's what I was going to say: 12:39 Hey, I think you missed a certain *hand*sy enemy here in this tunnel. Or maybe you somehow never *spawn*ed it. 26:57 This is part of the sidequest "Eldin's Colossal Fossil". But you have to meet the quest giver on the road from the East Akkala Stable to the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab to start it. Also, I would like to see your info on the Koroks.
Hah thanks! I'm really surprised that gloom spawn didn't come chase me out of that tunnel. You must have to get really close to the wall during the curve. And it seems there's enough support to greenlight the koroks video, so that'll be coming soon.
fun fact: Death Mountain wasn’t always lava covered! an older goron mentions that he was looking for something when he was younger, but then the mountain was covered in lava soon after
Eldin is such an interesting area! 😮 Koroks. Also the bone rock that is under the breakable rocks is a Korok puzzle that you need to put that in the eye. 😃

27:00 im pretty sure that rock was used in a quest with crazy skeleton lady? but i think you need to complete the part of the quest in hebra first before she goes here
Regarding 3:07 - I believe the correct scene is actually in the 17th memory from the 12th tear. In this memory, Zelda begins using her power to restore the Master Sword. She hands the Purah Pad to a construct before returning to the pedestal, which would be the last time she, and likely anybody else before Link, held it. Speaking of cool memory facts, one of the memories shows a shrine in the background. I wonder if any show off any locations of koroks?
I'm not sure how true this is, but the cave where you get the ember trousers from (and the Fierce Deity Sword) will still indicate that there is a chest inside on the sensor, even if you open every chest inside the cave. I don't know if there's an out-of-bounds chest or something like that that causes this, but it did make trying to find any unopened chests throughout Hyrule very frustrating.
He's way up there. I flew over from a nearby sky island and k ovked him to the ground to get the shot for this video bc just searching from the surface i couldnt spot it either. The notes on the object or interactive map says the spawn may be conditional.
I was disappointed with most locations in totk and felt they were Mostly far too similar to botw but eldin in totk is amazing. They changed so much in this area and the caves and all the minecart section just make this areea extremely fun. And I remember being really happy to finally see a different biom in the depths. I wish the entire overword got the treatment of eldin. Definitely one of if not nintendos most frustrating sequal.
Hi, love your videos, if i may give some critique is that your voice is way too low compared to the music sometimes (at least in my opinion) and this makes it kind of hard to understand what you are saying! I hope this doesn't come off as rude! Love the comparison videos, i watch them while i work, theyre great to focus, but like i said, the music is just a bit too loud /distracting over your voice!

I’ve never understood where the hate for the korok’s stemmed from. They’re just little guys playing hide n seek, with gifts for finding them. Nintendo even said “unofficially” that you’re not supposed to collect all of them, with the reward being a giant golden 💩 To anyone who despises the koroks, that’s self inflicted, why did you do that to yourself???
