Regarding 8:13 with the piles of flint and arrows, it's because crows gather on that island and crows like shiny things :) It seems they've found some items to hoard!
When I told my fiancee about the Hinox lowering lift and that it wasn't in BOTW, she just headcanoned that since it had been 100 years, it simply just got covered up with dust, dirt and rocks, and then in TOTK, it got unblocked while they were fixing up the area, only for it to be blocked again by the upheaval

29:22 that room is still there in Tears on B3. There's an opening above in the castle gardens, on the path facing south directly underneath Zelda's tower. There is a Like Like and some enemies in that area in ToTk and heading down in the side of the rock wall facing west is a door which leads to that room. In BOTW it follows back into the lockup, but the path between the two was destroyed in Tears. In Tears, it's a required battle location when you chase puppet Zelda. Yep, the random flags that dictate each one are set on load, so you can technically come back and defeat all the separate nearby *options* for spawns, if you happen to get lucky with flag states. (As in the other spawn locations are separate enemies. I once went around defeating gloom spawns in one blood moon period and I had to keep checking a few places with numerous spawn options in order to defeat *all* of the possible ones, but I had to get lucky with flags because they're random.)

So it is entirely possible that a blade that does elemental damage would be more effective than pure physical damage for someone weaker and less talented than Link. Also, they don't have fridges or air-conditioning and it seems that most people can't use magic. So, a utility device that can instantly freeze food would be really valuable.
It's also worth noting that the statue in the Observation lounge might be a reference to A Link to the Past, where the royal family has a secret exit out of the castle in the throne room hidden behind a movable object.
@cloecouvidat2470 they have certain set locations, but sometimes multiple are in one close area. In those cases, only one will spawn. However, the one i couldnt get to spawn in castletown is a mystery to me as to why it does or doesn't spawn
Concept art for BOTW shows that they thought about putting the roof access to the Hinox prison cell in the Lockup. The metal grate should have been visible from the surface. I wonder why they didn't put it in the game. It's on page 236 of Creating a Champion
My headcanon for the piles of flint and arrows in TOTK is that the crows/ravens that are always perched on those rocks brought them there. Corvids love collecting shiny things, and even though flint and arrows aren’t particularly shiny in comparison to other things in-game, there are more crows/ravens in that one spot than in any other single spot in the game. I think it would’ve been cool if, as well as the flint and arrows, you could find some green rupees in the piles as well, since corvids have been known to hoard coins irl.
The water near where you can find the great flameblade has hearty salmon in both if the games, its only one of 2 places that even have hearty salmon in botw as far as I know, there are at least 3 spots in totk where you can get some hearty salmon. Its a pretty rare ingredient especially if you don't know where to find them
In the "West of Castle Town" segment, you mentioned the bomb-able rock entrance to a shrine area was covered by a sky rock that had fallen on top of it. Now I'm curious - how many Sheikah shrines might technically still exist in TOTK, but the player just can't access their locations anymore?
I have found the room where the moblin is with a royal guards spear at 29:20, its pretty much underneath zeldas tower, if you check the castle map its on level B3 and its the room on the left side thats supposed to connect to a hallway but the path is blocked off. The room has a royal guards bow on the bottom section and then theres a chest with a royal guard claymore hidden in the rafters but thats about it
Thanks! Ive found it since posting this too, but unfortunately yt doesn't allow gifted memberships to specific users, and it only allows gifted memberships during livestreams, so that plan didn't work out the way I hoped
8:15 Its probably because of the crows. In real life crows love to collect shiny things, and since ore and arrows sparkle on the ground the crows collect it.
29:14 people may have already said it in the comments, but you can find this room by following down the stairs where Zelda"s room is at it's entrance. Hope it makes sense
i played botw today and collected the remaining castle and castle town korok seeds. the castle town is so different in totk, it’s very peaceful whereas in botw, you’re about to die with all the malice and guardians and the dramatic music going on.
In regards to the room talked about at 29:12, while it’s no longer accessible through the hallway that leads to the spiral staircase because it is full of rubble at the left turn that would’ve otherwise lead to it. it’s still accessible from a hole in the cliff side that marks where it used to connect to the other long hallway you mentioned that now comes to a dead end on ground level.
Oh wait, i assumed before clicking the timestamp. Ive since found this room. I was thinking of the armory down the hall from the dining room. That room seems to be totally gone
32:11 is part of the place where you fight Calamity Ganon, I believe. Idk if it’s the giant column that leads down to the arena or the wall of the arena itself, however.
@@novustalks7525 considering all the other Sheikah tech did, idk… though even if it didn’t it makes sense if that column collapsed and the gap filled with rock and dust and debris creating the new wall ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
29:18 that entrance way is still in tears if the kingdom, you have to go outside to reach it, it’s sort of tucked away under a pathway with enemies on it, right under Zelda’s study
At one point, you mentioned using stasis-launch to move a large slab. I prefer to save my weapon durability, so I just use a single Octo-balloon to lift those slabs.
At 11:15 the reason you could only get one is because those two are based on which state a specific flag is randomly set to! It can't be both true and false at the same time, so you'll never see both at once (but the flag is set on loads, so it *is* possible to have the flag state change so you can defeat both within one blood moon cycle).
The sheika tech that you find in the Castle library is the room that you Gannon in breath of the wild and most likely if you can't find the room in the main castle it's likely if you go straight down from there you might find it in part of the castle that didn't fly up cuz I could have sworn I found those rooms but I could be mistaken
You can get a similar effect to the ominous sky in zeldas room in totk when just in range of gloom hands. I did it earlier today, thought i broke something 😂
typically while filming this series, i play on files where i'm not going to save my progress, so I can always have a file with only so much completion, so when i'm touring the regions, it's for the first time. if i picked up the drops, they'd be gone next time i boot up the game.
8:04 I think I have an explanation. Did you notice all the crows around the Flint and Arrows. They took those items from around the map and are possibly going to make a nest for the baby Crows. Also the island has no man made structures so that’s why the crows took over! 😮😃🐦⬛
When I first played the game, I thought the entire game was gonna only be in the sky, and below the sky I thought it was the side of the planet beyond hyrule. And of course I thought the large sky island towers in the distance were the boss areas💀 lol I’m a amateur… idk if I’m the only person to thinking that was true
I was just wandering botw hyrule castle and wondering when this video would happen It has also inspired an idea, What if you could fight the calamity’s spectral form whilst riding the master cycle around hyrule castle, with all the malice removed and guardians inactive, as if ganon has summoned all the malice in the castle to confront you in his spectral form. You would have some device that you would point (aim like a bow) at the calamity as it circles the castle that would guide the divine beasts to fire at it, this being the way you attack it. A middle phase between the spider and dark beast for those who completed the champions ballad.
Hyrule Castle felt so much more exciting to explore in BOTW than in TOTK. The music, the enemies, the treasure. I felt myself being bored exploring it in TOTK.
imagine saying that, it has a whole upside down world and many changed things on the overworld aswell, its like saying that ocarina of time and windwakers maps are the same tbh
You can fight every single possible spawn within one blood moon, provided you manage to get the flags in the right state (ones right next to each other and a few others are based on a flag that gets randomly set on loads).
@@novustalks7525 Yes. I've done it. The only ones I didn't fight in the wave of "every spawn before I let the blood moon run" were two ones that are based on flags that persist forever after you defeat them (specifically the one related to a main quest, in the Deku tree, and one that spawns over the grate in the Gerudo Desert's labyrinth)--I'd defeated both of those before I decided to give defeating them all a try so the flags that prevent them from spawning ever again had already been set. The rest either are the only ones in a specific location/not controlled by flags so they *always* show up if they haven't been killed this blood moon, or were allowed or not allowed to spawn based on a flag state that gets randomly set on loads (i.e. if flag is set to "true" then spawn the left one, if not then spawn the right one). For some places I had to try for awhile before the flag was in the right state but I did get them all by repeatedly looping through places where I'd already killed a slightly differently placed spawn in the same moon cycle. I'd link to the object map that communicates the flag state required for the spawns but TH-cam would eat my comment if I did. (It's the Zelda Mods object map for TOTK, which lists Gloom Spawn as Phantom Ganon or MiasmaSwarm.)
I think a really interesting video would be seeing how much of breath of the wild is "canon" in a 100 percent run. Like, I know the story works with any percent completion, but how much is referenced? Or with the stone taluses, are the ones that aren't there anymore dead while the battle talus's are the ones left behind?
Seeing these side by sides kinda brews a frustration in me. I wish Nintendo had been a little more continuity-conscious. Where did all of the Guardian corpses go? The ones that were already rusted over in Breath of the Wild should still be there. I also think it would have been cool if treasures appeared or disappeared based on save data. Like, if you already got a chest in the first game, have it be gone in the second. The shrines, too. Why would the original shrines no longer exist? I have always needed a little more visual convincing when playing Tears of the Kingdom. Too much reference was removed All that being said, these tours you make are absolutely cozy to kick back to, so thank you for your efforts
Thank you for watching! Did I miss anything cool? What would you like to see compared next?

@@LandonMiller-xm4vc Not at all lol. Botw it was this evil fortress with enemies everywhere. It was an actual dungeon
8:15 Its probably because of the crows. In real life crows love to collect shiny things, and since ore and arrows sparkle on the ground the crows collect it.
2:29 If you are still on early versions of totk I have found that this caves chest mount thing is good for the paraglider duplication glitch
29:14 people may have already said it in the comments, but you can find this room by following down the stairs where Zelda"s room is at it's entrance. Hope it makes sense
8:05 The crows seem to be using the arrows & flint to make nests, they probably scavenged them from the nearby jail ruins?
i played botw today and collected the remaining castle and castle town korok seeds. the castle town is so different in totk, it’s very peaceful whereas in botw, you’re about to die with all the malice and guardians and the dramatic music going on.
No way! Now i have to go back and double check again lol. Thanks
Oh wait, i assumed before clicking the timestamp. Ive since found this room. I was thinking of the armory down the hall from the dining room. That room seems to be totally gone
Yeah. Since the map doesn’t show the armory close to the dining hall, I’m also inclined to think that it was destroyed during the upheaval.
32:11 is part of the place where you fight Calamity Ganon, I believe. Idk if it’s the giant column that leads down to the arena or the wall of the arena itself, however.
The room wouldn't just disappear though
@@novustalks7525 considering all the other Sheikah tech did, idk… though even if it didn’t it makes sense if that column collapsed and the gap filled with rock and dust and debris creating the new wall ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
29:18 that entrance way is still in tears if the kingdom, you have to go outside to reach it, it’s sort of tucked away under a pathway with enemies on it, right under Zelda’s study
32:06 This is the exterior wall of the Calamity Ganon boss arena from BOTW
32:13 that could possibly be the wall of the chamber you fight ganon in.
At one point, you mentioned using stasis-launch to move a large slab. I prefer to save my weapon durability, so I just use a single Octo-balloon to lift those slabs.
im still mad about the fact of how they nerfed royal guards weapons they used to be good in botw and now they’re just lynel farming in totk
Meh. I don't really care
At 26:18 there is a chest that was behind the updraft once you defeat the rare stone talus.
Please do Hebra/ Tabantha, please do Hebra/Tabantha, I LOVE THE RITOS SO MUCH, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
I’ve been looking forward to this.
I really wish I could explore an unruined version of the castle.
A what?
@@novustalks7525basically they want to explore Hyrule Castle before the Calamity ruined it
That room with the stone talus and updraft still exists, the entrance is just in a weird spot, and it's full of dirt and a white moblin
Where? I can’t find it
Where?
been waiting for this one forever
At 11:15 the reason you could only get one is because those two are based on which state a specific flag is randomly set to! It can't be both true and false at the same time, so you'll never see both at once (but the flag is set on loads, so it *is* possible to have the flag state change so you can defeat both within one blood moon cycle).
A matched korok finally!!! lets gooooooo
This cures insomnia easy to fall asleep to
EXACT KOROK FOUND!!!!!!!! THIS IS HUGE! LEZ GOOO!!!
edit: holy moly theres TWO!!!!
That's such a obscure korok on the crest
MVP of your videos are the fairies lmao
31:59 I believe that’s the Sanctum where you fight Calamity Ganon. 🤔
I dont know how much I’ve seen of hyrule castle in my 100% play through but I’m sure I haven’t seen 80% of it😂
The sheika tech that you find in the Castle library is the room that you Gannon in breath of the wild and most likely if you can't find the room in the main castle it's likely if you go straight down from there you might find it in part of the castle that didn't fly up cuz I could have sworn I found those rooms but I could be mistaken
You can get a similar effect to the ominous sky in zeldas room in totk when just in range of gloom hands. I did it earlier today, thought i broke something 😂
10:20 you killed the gloom hands and didnt even get the drops lol
typically while filming this series, i play on files where i'm not going to save my progress, so I can always have a file with only so much completion, so when i'm touring the regions, it's for the first time. if i picked up the drops, they'd be gone next time i boot up the game.
U gained a new sub 😊
Excellent video!
11:25 Everytime you come here, one of the two spots is chosen randomly for the gloom spawn to appear in.
8:04 I think I have an explanation. Did you notice all the crows around the Flint and Arrows. They took those items from around the map and are possibly going to make a nest for the baby Crows. Also the island has no man made structures so that’s why the crows took over! 😮😃🐦⬛
4:50 cue the fanfare!!
Underrated dude
21:30 Remote bomb in the cart.
And I also thought hyrule castle was floating in the sky
4:50
He lost his stick :(
7:04 it wouldnt make sense to have chasms in the place of the pillars, because the chasms only showd up at the beginning of totk
36:30
evil music >:(
happy gingle :D
EVIL MUSIC D:
I was just wandering botw hyrule castle and wondering when this video would happen
It has also inspired an idea,
What if you could fight the calamity’s spectral form whilst riding the master cycle around hyrule castle, with all the malice removed and guardians inactive, as if ganon has summoned all the malice in the castle to confront you in his spectral form. You would have some device that you would point (aim like a bow) at the calamity as it circles the castle that would guide the divine beasts to fire at it, this being the way you attack it.
A middle phase between the spider and dark beast for those who completed the champions ballad.
This would be way better then the dark beast we fought😂
Isn't there a Korok above Zelda's Study in both games, similar to the castle central spire?
IDENTICAL KOROK LETS GOOOO!!!!
Hyrule Castle felt so much more exciting to explore in BOTW than in TOTK. The music, the enemies, the treasure. I felt myself being bored exploring it in TOTK.
25:07 it does nothing no shrine no chest just gloom, what am i doing wrong
you mean in totk? did you light the big torch, and maybe even any small torches around?
Ngl I thought Hyrule castle was going to be the finale
2:00 Wait, there are Korok spoilers with no warnings? I guess I won't watch the video at all then.
I can’t believe people are saying that totk has the same map as botw, I mean just look at this
imagine saying that, it has a whole upside down world and many changed things on the overworld aswell, its like saying that ocarina of time and windwakers maps are the same tbh

Let’s go it’s here
can you only fight one gloom hands per blood moon? or is it really just up to chance if the gloom hands decide to pester lincoln
It sounds like only one will spawn. But you can go anywhere in the map and fight as many as you want before a blood moon
You can fight every single possible spawn within one blood moon, provided you manage to get the flags in the right state (ones right next to each other and a few others are based on a flag that gets randomly set on loads).
@@citrusella-nomorecraptions really?
Can you do hyrule ridge region?
holy smokes
I’m quite early it seems
26:10 one of those ice blocks has a Korok inside
Why wasn't the castle repaired between the events of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom?
6ish years would be nowhere near enough time to gather and place the required resources with their current tech.
To restore a gigantic fortress? That would take about 30 years!
Despite adding in new puzzle solving, he Sheikah Shrines in Breath of the Wild is way better than the Zonai shrines.
I think a really interesting video would be seeing how much of breath of the wild is "canon" in a 100 percent run. Like, I know the story works with any percent completion, but how much is referenced? Or with the stone taluses, are the ones that aren't there anymore dead while the battle talus's are the ones left behind?
The sky’s the limit
Seeing these side by sides kinda brews a frustration in me. I wish Nintendo had been a little more continuity-conscious. Where did all of the Guardian corpses go? The ones that were already rusted over in Breath of the Wild should still be there. I also think it would have been cool if treasures appeared or disappeared based on save data. Like, if you already got a chest in the first game, have it be gone in the second. The shrines, too. Why would the original shrines no longer exist? I have always needed a little more visual convincing when playing Tears of the Kingdom. Too much reference was removed
All that being said, these tours you make are absolutely cozy to kick back to, so thank you for your efforts
Is that a running gag that you always die? 😅
I mean, I die a lot while filming the footage, so sometimes if it works for comedic relief, I leave those moments in.
4:54 but the totk one isnt holding a stick
