Sir "GREAT INFORMATION ",good delivery, please slow down, helpful hint, practice infront of some senior adults that have hearing aids, that will teach you to slow down, not a race it's a marathon 👍. We are small mobile food business owners also.
First training, we just bought property with a shave ice business. It is at the start of our local rail trail and has the local city park across the street.
Watching the replay. Thinking of starting a shaved ice biz for my teenagers to help them learn about entrepreneurship. Located in Oklahoma. Great video & information.
First time listening on replay. Just bought last night a shave Ice machine for family fun . But then started thinking how I can leverage this as a side hustle. Your video was a random find that I’m happy to have gotten. Looking forward to learning your process. TIA.
Thank you for the helpful video. We are in Atlanta GA, starting a shaved ice business inspired by MD snoballs. We will be a mobile trailer using physical location as a dry storage. As of now we are focusing on our business plan.
I just discovered you and subscribed. Thanks Scott, you're doing a wonderful job here! Just got into the shaved ice business, so this is a wonderful resource👌. Thanks for creating a community for us to learn and share too! 🙂
@@ScoMoBiz thanks! We worked on pricing, doing plastic color changing 3 and 5 oz cups.. figuring how much syrup to you. We have the name already, I sent the logo idea to a vinyl guy to design it for us. B&C Ice’N Things Up(the BC will be layed on top of eachother. We have all of our equipment, syrups, priced out and ordering this week. Local permit approval first. Will be selling from our mobile canopy until we find a good used trailer to sell out of. We are unsure if block shaver is best for seasonal use or ice shaver like a Paragon
We have ordered the equipment, still unsure of a mobile cooler for ice bags and our syrup’s while at a site. What are the top 3 syrups and brands in your opinion? Our logo is done, EIN #, we are registered and business bank account setup. We went with the Carnival King SCM250 starting out then move into better/more expensive option. We will only be doing it as a side business, shooting for 10 events a year and few weekends a year other then the events.
@@EliteWashServicesLLC Sounds like you're well on your way. There are lots of flavor vendors. Some of my favorites are Ralph's, SnoWizard & 1-800-Shaved-Ice
@@ScoMoBiz great thank you, we have done a ton of research and just not sure if doing it part time would benefit buying ready to poor flavors or doing it the concentrated way. Everything is ordered besides the syrups, we have new empty wine bottles with 1.5 oz fill attachments to have consistent and cost effective syrup application.
Thank you for all the information I joined your Facebook group as well. I have a snoball business a cute little trailer in a gas station parking lot. I have many flavors and many Specialty SnoBall as well as soft baked pretzels and soft baked pretzel specialty pizza unfortunately I believe I am in a bad location. I'm about 7 miles from the main town and thankful I have customers that drive to me for my specialty snoballs but they always tell me if I would locate in to town I would make a killing. I am grateful to the gas station that I am located bc I don't have to pay them for the spot and since I'm out of town the health department let me set shop there bc I don't have a bathroom in the trailer I can use the gas station bathroom. The trailer doesn't have wheels so if I was to move in town I would have to add a bathroom and there's no room. I would love any ideas you have on getting more people to come from town to us or just any suggestions
Hi! So, in the end you really need to keep giving people a reason to come and see you frequently. A couple of ways to do that are ... - Be VERY on social media. Post amazing looking pics of your food, shop, customers, team, etc. - Run specials for 1-2 weeks. Something unique. It gives people a reason to keep coming out. - Host fun events at your shop. (movie night, games, freebies, party, etc.) Sign up for our Food & Ice platform ( www.foodandice.com/join ) We give you a monthly marketing calendar plus hundreds of templates you can use to promote what you're doing.

Hi Scott. I have a question related to using flow meters to regulate how much volume is being used p/hr. The business is growing but I may have to hire. As it's a cash business, my concern is ensuring I am not taking any losses. I charge by the cup however it's an open pour from outside the truck. Can a flow meter help determine the price at the end of the shift to determine what I should have made?
