Surprised that the pro actually won a single game of Shoni. In chess, 1977 is the date that computer surpassed man. Today, we gobble its moves up without question.
correction about computer chess: the year was 1997 (deep blue with some special hardware). About 7-8 years later with common pc hardware the same strength was achieved.

I wish we had a go club like this here in the Annapolis Valley, NS. What a rich, rich resource. I would attend every meeting it I had the opportunity.

I played my first round of go two weeks ago. If it becomes a major pasttime I might very well learn japanese just to access their enormous ressources.
