- Time for a cooking with Daboki! So I just moved and decided it was time to cook up my first meal. I fail quite a bit here, but I think it still turned out pretty tasty! I'm excited to start this new chapter with you guys. Thank you for all the support, and I hope you are all doing well.

We really are growing up with you lol. I've been watching for like 6/7 years now! I've seen you grow up and move across the country and I've went from like grade 5/6 to just finishing high school, first year at university this year.

Also I always buy that curry box at my Asian market, it's bomb and easy to make. Although I will say making this curry without a potato, how dare you. This electric hotpot looks good because it's made with a stainless steel bowl, unlike non-stick coatings that can break and chip off.

I remember looking up so many maplestory how to videos and seeing your "how to get to scarecrows and jesters" video and have been watching ever since. Definitely felt like I grew up with you always there with some crazy cooking video or when you used to play minecraft videos. I'm so glad to see how even though it's been so long since then that you are still the nice and respectful person I remember you for. Keep up the great work and great vibes! Also(side note) I love that you still make cooking videos.

If daboki and I lived local to each other, we’d be best bros no questions asked. Very similar in many different aspects.. The appreciation of nature, deep talks, and good food especially. My best friend and I would always travel hours deep into nature trails just talkings life/psychology/philosophy, then we’d make some delicious food before the sun went down. And we’d spend the late evenings with a few drinks, more conversation, and classic game favorites.
that sounds incredible mak. I think it's awesome when you can find someone that you can be "alone" with in a way. It's so cool finding people with like minded and similar hearts. I love deep thinking and expanding thoughts on life. It annoys people sometimes, but it's who I am so I can't help that lol. There is an awesome quote I found at a cabin I stayed at a few months ago that really hit deep.

@@TheDaBoki Yes, awesome video, and great quote! Ironically, I watched that video again last night before noticing you had responded.
But yeah, it's pretty rare to find people that allign with you to astounding levels. I'm a healthy blend of introvert and extrovert, although the more time passes the more introverted I become, the smaller my circle becomes. I enjoy solitude, I respect it and see the need for it. But of course, there are times when the right company could make the moment that much better.
Unfortunately for me, being around people for too long that I can't relate to is extremely draining, so there's a bit of an internal conflict when that need for interaction comes around again. I have found though, when you share moments with the right company, it is almost like you're alone, like you said.. In a strange way.
When you're both really in sync, it's almost as if some of the favorite parts of yourself manifested into a physical being you can outwardly interact and share with, if that makes sense. Sometimes it can really just feel like you're there with yourself.
My friend I mentioned will be up from Virgina for a couple days next week. We're both really looking forward to it, it's been years since we've been able to hang. We're very similar despite the age gap, so, hanging out kind of helps us re-center and reset. It's always a very stress free, revitalizing environment that also psychologically nurtures our needs we're unable to obtain from most of the world around us.
Anyway, sorry for the ramble. If you ever find yourself with some free time and would care for some conversation, I'd like to pick your brain!
One of my Asian friends taught me to add some (canned) tomato sauce to the curry - just rounds out the flavors. 😁

Just buy what you need, the stuff you will be using, and the rest will be easy. A rubber plant or two would be a great plant for you, just do some research on maintaining them so you know what to do. It’s not hard. Instead of decorations, just focus on matching things and pairing things that go well together. For example, buy a boxed set of bed linen because they’re already matching sets. You can buy two different ones if you like, so that you get a change of look while one set is in the wash.
Try not to mix furniture colours. Keep to the same tones as your new couch and don’t have too many colours in one room. It’s confusing to the brain. Keep a restful tone so you can relax in the space. Soft blues in the bedroom for example. You can highlight dark colours with pastel shades, and you can brighten up a dark room with pale colours and a well placed mirror to reflect some light into a dark area. Grab a home decorating magazine and you’ll find some nice ideas but don’t overdo it, some empty space helps the items in your room look well placed and uncluttered.

You need to stick meat in the freezer for an hour before you cut it, makes it a lot easier to slice.
