this video is exactly 5:00 minutes long haha! hope you guys enjoy! here are the timestamps: 0:09 - materials 0:54 - step 1 (making the dye) 2:01 - step 2 (tying the shirt up) 2:50 - step 3 (time to tie dye!) 3:26 - step 4 (washing) 4:24 - step 5 (drying) 4:32 - RESULTS!
Hi! The RIT tie-dye I used can be used with RIT brand fixative, or you can microwave it for the stated time like I did! My shirt has held up to many washes and has only faded slightly.
Hi, you can probably just set the bag out in the sun for a couple of hours to heat up or let the dye set for a couple of days before washing to get the same effect!
@@diyart778 I thought about a delicate laundry bag that I use for special bras. It hangs on the inside of the dryer. I will just throw the plastic bag in that and run the high heat in the dry for a few minutes. 🤔

If you have no mircovave can you leave it over night
Thanks for keeping it simple. I love your results so i went with this one. Currently waiting for my dye to set
Awesome, let me know how it turns out!
Great video! Just what I needed
Love it! Great job! 😃
Love the colors!
Do tou soak it un soda ash?
Soda ash might only work for traditional dying pigments; I don’t know about RIT
Did you use a fixative to retain colour such a lovely video shame to fade after a while. Keep safe xx

I was just about to ask the same question. I would love to do this with my nieces. So much easier if I don't have to mess with a fixative.
❤❤❤
I'm mostly impressed by your washing machine! 😅
😅
I wonder what you can do if you can’t microwave: I’m using a zip hoodie jacket

@@elizabethdickerson1136 That would probably work but I would recommend low or medium heat to be safe
