Hi Jonty - the only way I can see to do this is to change the password on the main hub and then start the whole thing over after resetting the comfast. There's gotta be an easier way, I'm trying to figure it and will be back as soon as I can buddy
@@homeandgardenprojects2868 hi, thanks. I figured it out. I went to the IP of the router, entered the SSID username and login password, then went to router - then scrolled down and it was an option to change the password. I had to select which main network it was on first, though. Cheers.
Hi Jonty, thanks so much for sorting this out and posting - you've saved me loads of heartache trying to figure it out! Maybe it should be you doing the reviews rather than me! Thanks again, superb.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I've had my extender for a few years and just had a new router installed -- I COULD NOT find anywhere on the internet (that made sense), so I haven't used it for 4 weeks!!! I'm saving your video for future uses.
After changing my router I found it hard to reset the wifii extender and had found no other useful information on the internet. Now my Comfast is working. Thank you so much!! Subscribed to your channel now.
Wow thanks Jean that's a really lovely compliment - it was really nice of you to take the time out to comment 👍❤️ If you could help me alog a bit I'd really appreciate it. I need to get my numbers up! No worries if not, I totally understand 😁
Hey Hawsrule Begin! Thanks so much for the comment, it means a HUGE amount to me, and makes it all worthwhile. If you'd consider subscribing to my channel you'd really be helping me on my journey, no worries if not, just thought I'd ask! Thanks again
Hi Robert - If the printer is in range of your original WiFi hub, leave it connected there, if not it can be connected directly to the extender. My printer is a way away from the hub and used to lose connection every now and again. Now I have it directly connected to the extender I never have an issue. Thanks for watching buddy. Please subscribe to my channel as I need to up my numbers! Best regards, Pablo

Initially the speed of my existing Wi-Fi is 100Mbps, but I am getting 50Mbps through the Extender ( Distance between the router and the Extender is 3m). What is the reason for the 50% drop of the speed??
Hi Harry, apologies but I don't quite understand your comment - Could you let me what time in the video you are referencing so I can give you a decent answer please. I really appreciate you watching. Best regards.
@@homeandgardenprojects2868 I discovered that the comfast installation page wasnt coming up and typing in the 192 address did nothing. That was on a laptop and phone but have had success in connecting my chromebook. No idea what the prob is with the other two devices.
Wow thanks Aloka that means the World to me! Thanks so much, definitely makes the effort worthwhile. Very kind of you to take the time to comment and I see you subscribed too, brilliant!
When I try connect my ps4 to the extender it comes up as comfast and not skyetcplus and then why I try connect to comfast it doesn't connect. Is there any solution, do u have to restart the wps connect.
Hi K1rellzy it sounds like your extender has previously been renamed as comfast - maybe by you or possibly if the unit was returned to the shop where you bought it? I would do a reset on the extender itself to get it back to the factory condition, then go again and it should all be OK. Let me know. Maybe I can talk you thru on the phone if you get stuck
@@newshound hi, thanks for responding to my comment. How would I reset the WiFi extender? When I plug out and plug it back in I think its still connected.
@@k1rellzy452 Hi buddy - Look underneath the extender, you will see the ethernet port and a small button next to it. OPlug the extender into the power supply and hold the button down firmly for ten seconds. It will then take 30 seconds or so to do a full factory reset and then you should be able to start over. We will see we are making progress if it renames itself as the same as your router and adds plus to it. Let me know how it goes, I'll be up for a while yet
How do we change the password to join it once set up?

How do you connect in a wifi printer to work with this as well please, do you leave printer connected to the Main Router ? or this extender

Can't get it to work .. it's connected to my router I type the password and I don't have internet on it.
Hi Ronald - Are you running Mac or PC and on what operating system? Let me know and I'll look into this for you
@@homeandgardenprojects2868 nvm got it working.. thank you
When I have to enter the password I put the in the password to the main router but it says it’s incorrect
this works incredibly well, but if you forget the password, there is no factory reset for it, rendering this product useless.
really good point thanks - I hadn't figured that
