Appreciate this great host for doing his Civic duty
Well thank ya!
Hopefully out of his own Accord.
Oh you guys are really PILOTing these puns, huh.
For real, I really enjoyed his Insight
@@TheApro123 🤣🤣🤣 this is the type of content that’s good for del sol.
I like this guy’s reviewing
Love to see Danger's reviews just getting better and better! Would also be cool to see Lyn and Danger do videos together, they both have good energy.
Micah catching strays in a civic review 😂😂
Whenever i have a chance to mention him, I’m gonna do that. 😂
@@yesmikedanger Hey, you failed to mention my long torso.
@@MicahMuzio haha well men in general have a longer torso than women. Compare a 5'10 man and a 5'10 woman and the man will have a much longer torso and shorter legs
@@MicahMuzio hilarious! I think Jason may have even chuckled behind the camera when I mentioned you.
Well done Danger! And Micah catching some strays lol The refreshed Civic looks nice! My lease is up in September and maybe the hybrid civic is the way to go.
😂😂😂 thanks buddy! And I’m gonna make sure the Micah name lives on.
Great intro for the hybrid.Lot of useful info. Looking forward to the actual driving reviews.Rick/78/Seattle
U like to drive slow huh?
Great video Mike!
You’re the best, Ryan!
Danger, I’m really glad you’re in front of the camera. I like your content.
Thanks for that, Javier. I appreciate your support!
They really need to put rear air vents and usb charging
Mike is one of my favorite reviewers. Seems like such a chill guy. I sometimes forget that he's 6'4" without a frame of reference. A friendly giant haha. The new Civics look incredible and blow everything else out of the water IMO
Haha thanks NGU! Appreciate you a lot! Thanks for watching 🙏
6:19 Mike! Tell them to give you the keys to the blue hatch for the driving impression review 🔑
About time that 1.5t is gone!
Right! Shitty engine
@@gigi9467 What's wrong with it?
@@jonathankleinow2073 It's by far the worst engine they've ever made. Oil dilution (yes it still exists despite what fanboys tell you), bad injectors, very vulnerable to rodent damage, lots of turbo failures... By far the worst problem they have though is the head gaskets, which flake out on every single engine. They made the head bolts about as strong as a number two pencil.
@@mattkroening7964my 2016 Honda civic hasn’t had any of these issues and I’m over 160k miles
@@mattkroening7964all you have to do is change your oil every 3000 miles, if you do short trips or driving in winter times just change oil a bit more often.
Nice refresh on the Civic and reference to Micah. Next time, mention he has a long torso 😂
Hahahaha i forgot about that!
Shame on you Honda for making such a great car and then compromising it by leaving off rear seat vents and usb ports and a 12 volt connection. I hope the $7.89 you saved per car was worth it. 🤬
Meanwhile, here in the Philippines and other third world countries, all Civic variants have rear AC vents😂
WELL said! No lumbar support, pano roof or vented seats offered. No heated steering wheel or power lift-gate, but the Buick Envista has both!
Honda Civic has a hybrid version. That’s going to be amazing car to drive!
finally a freaking sunroof is now present!
as an Accord owner, I've never been without one.
i really like the refresh; it balances both sportiness and elegance, I'm a bit indifference to the rims though.
That actually looks good
Can't wait until this releases so i can purchase a 2024 Honda Civic Sport Touring.
This is definitely going to be the car of the year. I wonder what the updated Si will get. Probably better brakes, suspension and roughly 250hp hybrid setup. Then onto the Type R… hopefully Honda figures out an AWD variant with Hybrid attached to bring more performance. Anything over 300hp on the front axel is nuts.
If Honda upgrades the si…..with 250 hp hybrid set up …..most probably manual transmission will be eliminated from SI too….
wow.. Way better than Corolla Hybrid and better looking. Honda just need to fix center brake light to be LED not old stuff.
Except it will cost at least $5k more than a Corolla SE Hybrid with pricing in Camry territory
I have a 2020 Civic Hatchback Sport and my god I’m sold on that Hatchback Sport Tour Hybrid, might need to look into doing a trade in
So what is the SI going to be? Is the 1.5t being entirely phased out?
Wow Two Videos consecutive Uploads
Back to back, yep What a Tuesday! Thanks for watchin em!
No rear vents in 2025!!! Good job Honda, even top trims!!! Keep the production cost low and retail price high. Classic Honda
Finally honda dumps the shitty turbo 1.5!! I might consider s civic again
One small correction: The current Civic has two USB-A ports in front, not just one. They did update them from USB-A to USB-C, but it appears they actually removed the USB ports altogether from the rear seats, even on the Sport Touring trim.
Probably to save cost.
I am fitting with the powertrain options though, but unfortunately the front facia overall is a bit controsversial at its design language.:/ And a great host Mike Danger:)💯💯
Finally some hatchbacks and sedans and not the same SUV
These mileages are insane - I’ve had motorcycles that didn’t get 50 mpg!
😂😂😂 the way I ride, I’ll be lucky to get 120 miles a tank from my bike.
Civic is hybrid only in the UK, apart from the Type R. The power of hybrid is well down on the figures you quote. Maybe we'll get an update.
Mike Danger? Na... more like 'Mike Niceguy'! 😎
😂😂 kinda, yeah
How about battery capacity and warranty?
should've had fog lights. Nice looking car. I've always liked the Civic. Now, they just need to remodel the Accord.
2.0t hybrid soooon?
It’s a lot more horsepower than the Insight Hybrid they sold a few years ago.
Why is this not the same hybrid system that's used in the civic in Europe? That car uses the electric motor as the main way to get around and uses the engine as a generator. Why is that not being done here? That would be more efficient and probably cheaper to sell?
Will the blindspot mirrors be on the sport hybrid
Doubt that one
Is it auto or manual on si hybrid??????
Sorry. My bad. You are correct. 2.0. Is it turbo?
I might upgrade to the sport touring hybrid hatchback when it comes out. Currently in a 17 civic touring coupe.
I can’t get past how the bumper curves up from underneath. I love the hybrid option but unfortunately the bumper killed it for me, and they removed the usb ports in the back? Sticking with my 22 sport touring hatch
the front bumper is hideous lol, its like a swollen lip. already looking forward to the next redesign
I LOVE THE NEW FASCIA!!! It looks like the last NSX 👍💪
It’s a good looking front end
I'm looking at a slightly used 2023 Civic with the 1.5. Two people here have said it's not a very good engine and has.....rodent damage. Guys....what does that mean???? Thanks.
Let's see if the new Civic Hybrid comes in at a price below or above the new Camry. 😉
That hatchback is sexy AF!
no more manual?
Question, is the Civic Si with the 1.5T still going to be a thing or is it just the Civic NA, Hybrid and Type R?
Kind of a dumb question but I haven't seen anything online about the 2025 Civic Si
I stopped by to get Camry hybrid at dealership, price went near 39k just for SE after adding available option & everything. It's not XLE or XSE, I found it very expensive. I hope i can get Civic hybrid under 32k, would be a great. It has all i need
Was it after market dealer options, factory options, market adjustments? All of the above? Agree an XSE or XLE for 40k makes sense- right there either way Accord Touring. But not for an SE
I am expecting the top hybrid trim level to be close to 37k
Bo, they added, special color, kit, spoiler, tank sill, protection, package, mud guard, package, etc charges on top of MSRP, which is also higher than Toyota website. Dealership robbing us.
@@440hp5It’ll be under 30k. With no one really buying cars now and demand being down it’ll prob be closer to 27k and you could bargain and get it down to 24k
Honda, please put your hybrid engines in the Ridgeline. Please
No standard android auto is a disappointment
You telling me this is faster then the Si 😂😂😂
That’s how it’s actually gonna look like, I’m disappointed, this looks like a Corolla. 😿
they look like cars from 2010s. Will age like bananas
Honestly the design isn’t that outdated. The biggest issue is the tech. Screens/infotainment looks like it’s from 2017 minus the sport touring trim
More torque than an SI 😭😭😭😭😭😭
I need this power train in the HRV
Wait for the mid cycle refresh
Now if they can only price it right lol 26 starting js way to much
The Civic hybrid has more torque than the Civic Si, is the updated Si getting a hybrid setup, another hybrid added to the list of available hybrid vehicles, and people wonder why hybrids are outselling EV models, how many hybrid-only models or hybrid models car companies brought back exist now
When do you think they’ll make it an AWD?
never.....that's a lot of extra weight and tech for what is suppose to be an affordable car.
Good winter tires will trump awd with all season tires.
@@MrMduchesne23 you sure? The Corolla Cross Hybrid has AWD
Right after they make an AWD Accord 😢
Wait so Apple/Android car play is now only wired not wireless?
Some car brands still do wired and yes some do wireless
@@alvinsimba734 I know but the video said wired when I believe it is wireless
Finally! I’ve been waiting for this generation civic eHEV hatch to come to our shores for a couple of years now.
Nice job Danger. I'll take the hybrid hatchback
Thanks buddy!
Гарний автомобіль
200 HP with 50mpg?! Yes please 🙏🏽 realistically though, Honda’s mpg is never as low as they say so I’m guessing 40-43 mpg which is still bomb!
Honda lies with their MPG, my 2023 civic gets 28 mpg if im lucky, no where near the average.
If it's in the city, where a damn hybrid should be used for efficiency, this model should not have any issues hitting 50. I've seen some ridiculously high numbers in the European version.
@@disco.lemonade - You probably drive like a grandma
Id say 43-45 should be no problem.. my CRV gets 36 miles per gallon after driving 10,000 miles
@@slowgoat6089how fast do you drive lol? You get less the faster you drive
Return the EX naturally aspirated engine
Mike Danger, My Idol!
Evan Katz… My Hero!!
Much want, over the Prius.
Honda really doing its best to omit rear seat air vents in a Civic. Otherwise, a stalwart once again!
Comes down to price point lol. Cars will be more expensive than they are with all possible features one can get
Ok but those rims are so nice they’re probably going to be stolen often
Honda usually makes great looking wheel designs.
This is starting to look like a toyota corolla already. I think the pre facelift looks better
Mmmmm...the fact that the 1.5T is gone os veeeeery telling 😷
I don’t see a tile for Sirius XM. Deleted? Hope not.
Yes...deleted
Not 2 liter in the non hybrid. 1.5 turbo
Finally. Since they were released in the Europe , I’ve been waiting for it to get released into the US
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada home of the honda manufacturing plant in Alliston Ontario north of Toronto Ontario Canada were the CRV & CIVIC sedan is built thanks for the presentation
Nice! Thanks for watchin!!
Is the Civic Si dead?
Probably but the hybrid system puts out 200hp
There is not enough demand to keep it alive
No exhaust tips
No fog lights
Like the previous sport touring
so no fog lights and no physical spare tire on board, also hoping a AWD version on their Acura variant in the near future. If Honda can put AWD in the Accord, so may the future Civics.
If they don't figure out AWD people up North will flock towards Toyota instead...
There was no need to change the front end like that. It was perfectly fine before and now it's strange from some angles.
I agree, I have the European version of the hybrid. It’s a pity Honda didn’t included the 200 horse power, I have the 184 version.
You lost me at, "all civic hybrids will be FWD". 😠
So they're dropping the SI... I wonder what that means for the Integra
Watch out Prius! Good video as always! Throw a like if you can appreciate Mike Danger!!
Thanks, friend!
Don’t get the 2.0 liter, I have it and it lacks power for sure
I also average 27/28 in it which isn’t great and 23/24 in winter
But usually around 36-40 depending on circumstances in highway
Well it’s better than the turbo at least. Plus many of us can’t afford the hybrids unfortunately
@@bradenweir9264 why is the 1.5t bad? And yeah I could barely get a good deal on my 2022 sport so I get that.
@@bradenweir9264 why is the turbo bad?
Honda is pushing the civic more than the accord. While the civic is a nice entry sedan but I don’t understand why they shortchanged the Accord in power and then give the civic power so similar to the current accord. Great Review Mike and great at explaining all the new stuff. Bless you brother
Because they sell more of the civic than the accord. Compact sedans are the bulk of the sedan market
Accord is still the more premium option with roomier back seat, you don’t get 12.3 inch screen in the civic, no cool seats, no HUD, no lumbar support, no memory seat setting, no rear USB charge ports, and no rear air vents.
@@blackwhirlwind1245 only speaking of engine power
Unfortunately, Honda decided to cookie-cut the hybrid: no rear vents, usb, soft upper door trim, and no power liftgate, lumbar support, heated steering wheel, vented seats, pano roof, or 360 view screen. Honda did this for maximum profits, not thinking about 2025 American buyers
Why did they make the front end worse for no reason??? 😭 it was damn near perfect, and it isn't even 5 years old. Why does it need a refresh???
Best looking front end they’ve had on a civic. I’m a fan!
They are trying to make you forget about foglamps....
This car's gonna sell out super quickly
I wish it would have been an available option two years ago. No ac vents in the rear. It's a small car. Aftermarket fix. That kit will also come with the USB ports. No fog lamps. Nobody cares. They fixed the grill on the sedan. Appreciate that. Europe only gets 181hp & less twist than we get. They are steaming over it too.
No more loose level three pedal pushing fun. Still going to offer a basic base for basic needs. At least for now. Honda sold 133.000 civics in the US in 2022. Less than half of a normal year. (C19) I have one of those 133,000 civics. A sport touring. They were all but impossible to find. Thank you Jesus. It's not ever going to end up at Barrett-Jackson. But I feel like I got something a little special. Wife named it White Ice. I thought it was apropos.
Good keep the 2.0 its bulletproof!
Why didn’t Honda choose the 1.5t as the base engine?
I'd be curious too but I like they went with a less complex base engine
Perhaps 2.0L cost less to produce since it doesn’t need turbo, and you know people don’t care whether it’s 1.5T or 2.0L, if they want slow civic, get 2.0L, if they want more powerful one, they get the hybrid.
It’s all about EPA numbers
Not as reliable... If you don't change your oil at 5k mile or less intervals you will most definitely need a new turbo around 100k. If you really neglect those oil changes there will be so much sludge in the car that it will just keep starving turbos of oil. We had a Civic go through two turbos before we told the customer they need a new engine.
The 2025 Civic is looking good with the Danger.
Hahaha nice
7” touch screen sounds so 2020ish !!!
Doesn’t need to be any bigger. Don’t need a giant screen taking the drivers eyes off the road where they should be.
Like 2023-2024?
My 2016 Accord has a 8" display... Not a touch screen but they had that screen since 2013 lol.
@@Ben-jz3mt honestly I prefer a bigger screen so I don’t have to stare at the screen and squint to see stuff which can take my eyes off the road. Bigger screen = can glance better
Too many premature blown head gaskets in the 1.5 turbo!
We've seen 10 times as many burnt out turbos compared to bad head gaskets on those suckers
Hybrid Must be 42k in canada 😂
Arabadan sis farlarını kaldırmaları çok kötü olmuş 😔
Wish they will bring back the coupe
Right?! The coupe was pretty cool
Coupe and AWD would be a absolute riot. @@yesmikedanger
Why no all wheel drive?
Really? Do you know anything about Honda and Civics?
It’s actually a good question. I myself had asked Honda at this shoot about AWD and they said nope, not on the Civic.
@@yesmikedangerAs a person living in Minnesota... We are very disappointed there isn't AWD. Toyota is over there with no driveshafts to the rear end... Less moving parts... More efficient... More AWD options. Very disappointing.
@@disco.lemonade Civics used to be small and light. I owned a 1985 Civic back in the day, then a 1991 Integra. Loved them. Manual transmission.
Modern Civics are so much larger, and modern AWD systems so much more compact and efficient …..
Honda needs to up their game in the aesthetic dept. So boring. If the production All-New Prelude looks anything like the concept Prelude then I'm all in! But for now, nah...I'll pass on all your vehicles!
6.4 @ back seat ??... Ah no no esp when the car hits a bump.
WHAT???
Bland exterior styling continues for Honda.
