Forget about Accord, 1 notch down, entry-level Sedan class Civic is about the same as the latest Camry, which is supposed to compete with the Accord. In the market for a new car and test drove both of these and the Camry 100% looks better on the exterior front where as Honda looks better in the interior. I’d pick the Camry you are basically getting the all wheel drive for free in the comparison. Plus it looks nicer style wise the Honda is so plain it looks cheap . I have 2020 Camry 2.5 liter it’s been a great car not one issue so far . It’s a great commuter car it rides like a much more expensive car. I always thought Honda and Toyota were even when comparing these two cars not anymore.
Toyota has more options. As opposed to pick a trim. I prefer to customize the things that are more or less important to my taste and needs. I hit the lots over memorial week and weekend. Toyota had the best fit and most importantly discounts in lew of add-ons.
I'd be so torn over the Accord and Camry. As seniors, my wife and I need a sedan as she can no longer get into my 2024 CRV Hybrid very easily. But I am somewhat disappointed in my 2024 CRV Hybrid, and the Accord would have the same issues. Since I had my 2020 CRV, Honda has ditched the spare tire for its hybrids, while the new Camry still has a complete spare tire kit. I need a spare as with 115+ heat here in Vegas, don't want to be towed if I get a sidewall blowout. Honda did away with the temp gauge, and I noticed new Camry still has it. Doesn't sound like a big issue, but in the winter, even though we don't have snow, it gets cold enough to use the heater, and I have to guess when engine is warmed up enough to put it on, and with a hybrid, the engine doesn't run all the time. They also did away with the Tire Pressure Monitoring System that shows the pressure in each tire; Camry still has it. Now if I get a warning, I have to manually check which tire is low. I also like Camry's touchscreen which is nicely integrated into the dash. The Accord still sticks up on the top. Finally, Honda just announced they will do away with their 2 complimentary maintenance services for 2025 models; now it is just one. While I agree the inside of the Accord (as well as my similar CRV Hybrid) is very well done, the Camry's advantages are important to me. Also, besides spending $500 for a spare tire kit for my CRV Hybrid, it now takes up space in the cargo area as there is no wheel well like the Accord. Camry's trunk may be a bit smaller than Accord's (by 2 cu ft), but at least Toyota gives you a spare tire kit, as the inflator kit they stick in is useless for the sidewall blowouts we often get here. Thanks for the good review.
Her's my 2 cents. The engine bay in the Accord looks more buttoned down than the Camry. Not a fan of the low profile tires on both cars. They are terrible in the snow and provides less cushioning rubber between the road and the vehicle plus they are more expensive to replace. Accord length is 4 inches longer than Camry, not a fan of the longer length. I live in the Northeast and I found front wheel drive is adequate in the snow. Camry's all wheel drive is on demand unlike Subaru's full time symmetrical awd that provides continuous power to all 4 wheels. The panoramic sunroof is a gimmick I can due without. They are prone to leakage as they age and reduces the regability of the roofline. The pricing structure of the Camry is more reasonable than the Accord. With reservations I pick the Accord.
Definitely considering the new Camry as my next vehicle. I’ve been buying Hondas since the mid 90’s but my recent dealings with a regional manager over my 2019 Acura, has me wanting to NEVER purchase a Honda product again.

I like the accord in all black and the meteorite blue is cool. What price are you all getting this for? I am looking at the sport and the gas EX.
I have been researching buying a new car and I conclude that the Accord and Camry are the 2 best vehicles in the world. I also conclude, trying to compare "gas" vs. Hybrid engine, I would buy the gas if I planned on owning it for less than 5 years and the hybrid if I plan on owning for more than 5 years (based on hybrids higher price, insurance cost, possible repairs vs. savings in fuel). I am currently convinced the Accord is the slightly better choice, for a reason you did not mention. That reason is that the Accord has 2 electric motors, not only one (like the Camry). The large electric motor is operating the vehicle, while the smaller electric motor operates the lights, AC, etc. The gas engine is simply powering the electric motors until you either stomp on the gas or it reaches for highway speed. Once that happens, a clutch kicks in and the vehicle is drawing power from both. I have seen mechanics (Including Camry owners) refer to this Honda engineering as genius design, yet simplicity in operation, that gives the Honda a mechanical edge over the Toyota. I plan on buying a 2024 Accord Hybrid when the 2025's come out and the 2024 price drops a little.
Yes. The AWD does have a separate motor for the rear wheels. Not only that, but I was wrong and researching the 2024 models. This video is the 2025 model, and in 2025 the Camry is a "new generation Camry" and mimics the Honda Accord and has the separate motor (a third electric motor if all wheel drive) that in 25 now separates the electric motor from the lights/ac motor. I was comparing the wrong year (24) instead of (2025) @@gabrielblackmon6270
@joshua9073 sweet. Me too, few days ago. Supersonic red with black panoramic roof and light grey leather. Nice combination. I love the smooth luxurious ride of the XLE. Mpg is insane
My niece graduated high school and her parents got her the 2025 Camry SE and my god this crap has so much road noise. She didn’t even want to drive it, she only wanted to drive her parents Range Rover which I don’t blame her. I told them return the car and get her a luxury car. I recommended them the Mercedes EQS580 and she loved it and got a great lease deal only $333 a month for 24 months through our broker. This is cheap lease payment for a $110k car and it’s way better. It’s great to be a business online for great lease deals.
In the early 2000’s the Honda Accord was a solid sedan. We’d get 2005 Accord V6 in all the time and it was awesome. The New accord is soulless. The Camry Atleast has some Lexus refinement that the Honda just doesn’t have.
Both of these cars are a massive step back…in looks and definitely in performance. I’ll stick to previous generations until they make something less bland (which is likely never).
Accord's 2 liter engine will not cut it in the long run: it is too weak. The car itself is quite heavy. Versus Camry Hybrid, it definitely has a better engine - being more durable (practical experience as I own one for 10 years now). For my money, Camry is the way to go!
Too weak? I own the car, not true at all. The car is very adequate in terms of acceleration and does not struggle at all. The cars are also actually quite similar in terms of weight. Honda is well known for their engines, I think they knew what they were doing.
Personally, I will go for the Camry, I prefer its design, and on the XSE you can get a red interior and a pano sunroof, which is something the Accord doesn't offer. AWD is a huge plus for me, the Camry has more power, tests have shown that it is faster and for the first time ever, it seems like the Cmary might be the sportier vehicle of the 2, which is funny cos the Accord was always considered the sporty midsize sedan
I saw the 2025 Camry at the NY auto show. The prior generation Camry se is much better looking. The Accord has been out awhile and again the prior generation was much better looking . The 2025 is plain , square and has no more chrome .The 2025s from both are not good looking at all.
I have a 2018 Accord, love my baby but if I had to choose right now between these two, I think Camry has the A beat in every way and now HP which is huge and AWD. Camry for me.

I thought this camry was the awd variant, it has more than one electric motor.
@gabrielblackmon6270 3, in fact. Other guy was mistaken about Camry only having 1 electric motor. 2 in the FWD, 3 in the AWD.
Toyota’s hybrid setup is even simpler than Accord with E-CVT planetary gear paired to two motor generators. This design have stood the test of time.
Accord looks like an outdated model, generic, Ford Taurus looking like. Camry is sporty and fresh
Not a fan of Yellow Submarine. A song that should never have been recorded, in my opinion. I would never play it, and would always skip over it.
accord all the way!
Both I like
Accord interior is so much nicer.
Camry looks more areodynamic and fresh as opposed to Accord looking large and not as sporty
Base Camry is so much better value than Base Accord.
personal preference really
I'm going Camry
I just got one in reservoir blue, an XLE
@joshua9073 sweet. Me too, few days ago. Supersonic red with black panoramic roof and light grey leather. Nice combination. I love the smooth luxurious ride of the XLE. Mpg is insane
The Accord looks so much better
Yeah if you like the bar of soap look
My niece graduated high school and her parents got her the 2025 Camry SE and my god this crap has so much road noise. She didn’t even want to drive it, she only wanted to drive her parents Range Rover which I don’t blame her. I told them return the car and get her a luxury car. I recommended them the Mercedes EQS580 and she loved it and got a great lease deal only $333 a month for 24 months through our broker. This is cheap lease payment for a $110k car and it’s way better. It’s great to be a business online for great lease deals.
That is not $333 a month
@@joshua9073 I could tell you never used a broker to lease a vehicle so you wouldn’t know
In the early 2000’s the Honda Accord was a solid sedan.
Honda fails at styling & proportions on pretty much all their vehicles these days. Toyota styling isn't so hot either IMO.
Styling is subjective. Accord for me.
Accord better looking than Camry
Accord's 2 liter engine will not cut it in the long run: it is too weak. The car itself is quite heavy. Versus Camry Hybrid, it definitely has a better engine - being more durable (practical experience as I own one for 10 years now). For my money, Camry is the way to go!
Too weak? I own the car, not true at all. The car is very adequate in terms of acceleration and does not struggle at all. The cars are also actually quite similar in terms of weight. Honda is well known for their engines, I think they knew what they were doing.
Both are great but I'll go with the best CAMRY
Personally, I will go for the Camry, I prefer its design, and on the XSE you can get a red interior and a pano sunroof, which is something the Accord doesn't offer. AWD is a huge plus for me, the Camry has more power, tests have shown that it is faster and for the first time ever, it seems like the Cmary might be the sportier vehicle of the 2, which is funny cos the Accord was always considered the sporty midsize sedan
That Accord looks like a bar of soap, you can’t unsee it now 😂
😂😂
The rear looks better than the 2022 model.
The camry looks like a cheese grate
Honda All Day 🔥🔥
I saw the 2025 Camry at the NY auto show. The prior generation Camry se is much better looking.
The Accord has been out awhile and again the prior generation was much better looking . The 2025 is plain , square and has no more chrome .The 2025s from both are not good looking at all.
We don’t want chrome anymore, chrome is for grandma.
@@joshua9073 I guess all the other car companies are still making cars for grandma.( VW , Chevy , Ford , Nissan etc. ) I think chrome looks nice .
I have a 2018 Accord, love my baby but if I had to choose right now between these two, I think Camry has the A beat in every way and now HP which is huge and AWD. Camry for me.
I used to have Honda, good cars but cannot stand their giant H logo, they should shorten it
The Accord looks like a late 90s Buick, Camry all day.
Где-то я читал, "не будь тоетой".😂
Camry made accord left in a decade by design and powertrain wise
Honda front exterior took a huge step back!
2024 honda accord plug in hybrid
