I don't get excited any more about Subaru's future renditions of upcoming models. They show a Really COOL, Cutting Edge Design that would blow the competition right out of the water, but then when the final production model comes out, it's NOTHING like the original, futuristic design!

Mazda pickups are now made for FORD too and are more reliable than Toyota or Subaru. Mazda is in the number 1 position of all 4 wheeled small trucks. But it cannot beat a CT $120k Elon overbuild in a drag race unless it is the rugged terrain.

I don’t like CVT’s. If it offers a manual or a geared automatic I’d be far more likely to purchase one.
I have three of their vehicles with cvts and all them have been excellent.
Thats exactly why I didnt buy a new Forrester I like older looks, and NO CVT for me period!

I have a 2011 Outback that I take off road. Does very well. Biggest issue is clearance not transmission.
@@jfkst1 So I've got to fork out 15 gran more, so I don't have crosstrek slippage. My Scion XD 2 wheel drive had better traction than a crosstrek. Normal transmission only.

2 door extended cab, 6 speed manual transmission, low range capable transfer case, and considering its a compact truck, a 6 foot bed would be adequate. Dump all the electronic equipment as well. Simple buttons and dials worked for 100 plus years.
The complexity in today's vehicles is ridiculous. I don't want to go through 12 submenus to change the heat or radio.
I've owned many older cars/Subarus. Volume knob, simple dials for temperature and simple slide lever for hot and cold.
Getting rid of all the tech garbage would also drop the weight by at least 500 pounds.

Concepts are always better looking than production. If they build it they need to up size it with the boxer 6 and portal axles more room in cab and bed and no center console. If they do that they outsell every one.

I have owned my 2012 Tacoma TX Baja for quite some time and it has earned its reputation. That said, I have also admired Subaru for its reputation, but this video did a lot of horrible AI narration and said little to nothing about what this imaginary truck has to offer.
Every year I see a video like this saying a vehicle is coming out next year. But it never happens. I will believe it when I see a 2025 baja on the lot.

My wife's dream when we bought our 08 Outback and the Baja had been discontinued. I have the 08 set up for some off road and her 2019 Crosstrek has hardly any miles.
She needs one! Any guess as to price range??

I'm not sure where people are coming up with this but I've been selling Subarus for over 20 years I hate to disappoint but there will be no Baja anytime soon. Especially here in the US. I'm not sure where they're coming up with their information but there are no plans for any type of small utility truck to be made by Subaru
