    One of the best instructors! I really appreciate you talking about what you want to do or what a action will accomplish before you start adjusting things or throw down nodes. It helps a lot to know the intensions behind the actions.

    This is great, not just Houdini but the Octane tweaks are super informative.

    This is pure gold. Also frequently coming back to the rendering / adaptive sampling part. Incredible info!

    Hey, excellent tutorial! if i wan to alembic and render them in c4d octane, how do i get to extract the "stress" vertex map from houdini and use in c4d to get the gradient ? can someone teach me~ much appreciated!

    Hi,
    I loved the tutorial but have a problem. I'm new to Houdini. Everytime I add a node to the sphere nothing changes. The sphere doesn't disappear and doesn't add particles. I've only followed all the way to 2:34 and nothing has happened except I see a sphere. Am I doing something wrong? Am I supposed to turn something on? I am also using the free version of Houdini Daily Version.

    hi, what node should i use in the material to capture the stress if i render with redshift instead of octane? 23:03
    i followed your tutorial but this piece i could not resolve :(

    I hit a wall 20 minutes in. My Geo has no Octane tab when I select it. I am stuck and cant get these particles to render. I also cannot find anyway to export these as geo to get into Cinema 4d. Super frustrating.

      Same, I get stuck here. My BG plane has an Octane tab, but the Particles Geo doesn't.

    • @artsynox
      @artsynox 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can add the Octane tab yourself. Simply select your Geo in obj mode and go to your Octane shelf and hit "+ObjParam".

    Hi all, just curious to know how long it might take to render about 5 seconds duration? I am gonna give it a try, and want to have an idea beforehand for the render time. I am using 3060 right now. Will appreciate your responses.

    Wow, that was fantastic! One question: how did you manage to get this fancy looking IPR? i`ve clicked all the possible buttons in settings, but didn`t find any ways to do this.

    • @Entagma
      @Entagma  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The IPR settings are hidden under octane 's options. (The same options dialog where you can select which GPUs to use for rendering.)
      Cheers, Mo

    hi! my Octane IPR is drastically drifferent than yours and there isn't icons. How can I fix that? I currently use Houdini 19.5.368 version and Octane 2022.1 version

    I am not able to install Octane Renderer Demo in Houdini apprentice. This is something I want to clarify, Octane doesn't work with apprentice version?

    Great tutorial as always. You mention 3delight just wondered if there were any plans to add an intro to the rendering premium course? It's one ive been interested in looking at but just not got around to.

    • @Entagma
      @Entagma  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No real plans on adding it, but it's more than straightforward. If you've worked with one render engine, it's quite easy to adapt to it. Maybe one of the most user friendly render engines in Houdini.
      Cheers, Mo

    Wondering how best to go about 'looping' this simulation, so the particles swirl around and eventually return to the positions they started at.
