Just finished reading The Martian. Now I'm itching to make a Martian environment! 0^0m Thanks so much for these videos! Gonna look into the course, too. =d
Marvelous ! excellent way of explaining the things with why should it be done like that ? I love the way you present each and every step....I am just a beginner in 3D graphics....
yes, you can add a mapping node after the texture coordinate. plug all of the textures up to the mapping and then you can change the scale of the mapping to scale the textures.
Can you do a tutorial on mixing the material? A landscape would have hills, rocks, and planes. And textures would be different depending on height, slant, etc. You have other similar materials in your Procedural Materials Pack #5. I would like to know how to mix the materials. Thank you!
Hmm, well for one thing you'd need to change the colors to black and white for the moon rock. And you might want to make more of the larger chunky rocks.
Thank you so much! I am improving my material creation and you are so helpful! I hope these continue! They are kind of addictive haha Could you make a few more sci-fi materials please? Thanks. :)
I must've done something wrong, wasn't working completely on my end.. But for some reason I got a shiny muddy surface instead. Which worked out fine for the scene :P
1). The video is useful because it explains procedural texturing techniques once again. 2). There must be someone *Dwarakesh* could shoot. 😉🔫 So, it looks like Mars like Shaun Bean looks like Cheryl Ann Cole in "Accused" (episode "Tracie's Story"). A few weeks earlier: I showed my wife a picture of pickles and asked: - Was ist das? - Ich weiß es nicht. Könnte dies ein Foto von *Bakterien* sein? Later I showed the potatoes. My wife agreed that these were not bird eggs, but potatoes sick with phytophthora. In addition, the tubers have no eyes on them. 🙌

6:23 You can also use Ctrl + X to delete the mapping node without severing the connection.

Hi!
Really nice tutorial and you explain it really well. Is there a way to scale it so it works in a big landscape?
yes, you can add a mapping node after the texture coordinate. plug all of the textures up to the mapping and then you can change the scale of the mapping to scale the textures.
Hey, thank you for the tutorials. It's really amazing and helpful.

@@RyanKingArt Thank you! Looking forward to it.
Thanks for the tutorial my man, I got one question what nodes would I need to change to gain the moon's surface texture ?
Hmm, well for one thing you'd need to change the colors to black and white for the moon rock. And you might want to make more of the larger chunky rocks.
@@RyanKingArt OK ill try that one, and what if I wanted to smooth out the ground and possibly add some craters in this ?
