- We think this is the best chill budget destination in 2023. Today we are exploring our first place in Laos, Don Det & Don Khon in the 4000 Islands! We quickly realize this is both the chillest and cheapest place we have ever travelled to. So get ready for some great cheap food, riding bicycles through the country side, swimming in the Mekong, visiting waterfalls and hanging out with Buffalo and friends. It's gonna be a chill day.
