Luang Prabang is a gem. I have been visiting regularly for years. The city has changed over the last 25 years: a lot more tourism. I regret the disappearance of the pétanque courts along the Mekong, all replaced by restaurants... You really have to come on April 15 and 16 each year for the Lao New Year parade: Pimaï. But the worst nightmare for Luang Prabang remains the Chinese tourists who respect nothing and who go so far as to put their cameras with flashes in the faces of Buddhist monks during the traditional morning TakBa.
I like the French colonial architecture. It reminds me of a small European town. France colonized Laos in 1893. But it won independence in 1953. Go in the cooler months from November to February. You may need a jacket. It's get cold in the north. But it's better than the heat in the south.
If you do swim at kuangsi . There are 3 levels of waterfall. Most people swim at the first level. Clear cold water. They dont usually tell you the path to the top so its self guided at your own risk. Warning there be leeches in the water. Dont go during rainy season muddy water.
Sabaidee. Are you still in Luangprabang. I would like you guys visit Tadsair waterfall in Laungprabang. Ask local people how to get there. I've never been in there. I saw some people posted on Facebook. You will love that place. Thank you for sharing. I love your Chanel very much.
Recently found the channel. I’ve been enjoying each video I watch. Relaxing, informative, well put together.. what more could we ask for? Thank you for the great content.
We rented a motorbike for the day! But you can also get a shared tuk tuk to get you there and back. Might be worth if you like to share with a few people
I hate TH-cam and most things on it, but... But this video is really, really well produced and I think will be helpful. We are going to LP next month, and have checked out a bunch of videos. This is head and shoulders above the rest. Well done. It's got great aerial views so you know the lay of the land. Awesome! I'll subscribe, but have no idea what that does or means.

I can imagine that it has changed over the years! We don’t know how it looked back then, but loved it when we visited 😊

Welcome 🇱🇦❤️❤️❤️
will they accept cards in vang vieng n in luang prabang? or we should carry cash everywhere??? Any idea?
Cards are rarely available unless at big restaurant and hotel. Always carry cash, 85% cash.
Yes indeed cash is king! There really aren’t many places that do accept card. But there’s many ATMs 😄
What month were you there?
