I was YouTubing looking for advice on trimming our monster hedge, several hundred metres long, 6 metres high and just as wide, when I found this video. We have bought one of these harnesses and it is fantastic. We have an extender on the pole saw and the whole thing is pretty heavy. My husband has been using the harness and it takes a little bit of getting used to but overall it is has made a phenomenal difference to the big job of keeping the hedge under control.
Nice share and build. Like the one where the guy placed the motor itself on a back pack and modified or adapted a flex shaft through an elbow into the shaft and to the cutter.
Very useful demo and very nice job, thank you for sharing. All we need now is a battery hedge trimmer to get rid of the fumes and eliminate the melted jumpers.
Battery will not cut it. Especially big twigs. Been there ...done that. You have to pull out the electric or gaz chainsaw on a pole. I never had enough battery charge to finish the job. Will not wait a few hours to recharge...its ridiculous.
Can anyone tell me the dimensions and lifting capacity of device? I have a 52cc machine and it is quite heavy. It also has an extension piece which will add to the overall weight and therefore affect the length of overhead bar needs to be longer.
Looks like a great product for larger open hedges but how does it go in rougher conditions like around trees or other obstacles? Must be great for doing the tops of those big hedges, wears me out with all that stretching but with one of those I could imagine it would be a breeze without any overhead obstacles.
It's your back that needs saving when hedge cutting. Not sure how this would help. The weight has to be transferred through somewhere into the ground. Only way is through your back. This looks like it'll put more strain on your back rather than arms and shoulders
The weight of the implement is transferred to the hips of the operator by the Easy-Lift Harness. The Easy-Lift Harness is the only harness on the market designed to lift and transfer all of the weight on any implement used to the hips of the operator. The Easy-Lift Harness has helped Thousands of satisfied customers around the world be working smarter instead of harder. easy-lift guy
Thing costs nearly *400.00* , No thanks. I'll continue to let my shoulders and arms get bigger while getting paid for a hedge trim job at the same time.

Really? A 'hedge' whose width and height is 20 feet?

This is a good invention, takes the weight and vibration off your arms.
