That is so unfortunate! I hope it's all sorted out quickly! Snails can be pesky little guys and if they're not dealt with can become an invasive species and hurt our environment such as our agriculture farms, especially coming from an Asian country. I know customs is just doing their job. It seems someone in Japan just didn't catch them in time. I wish you all the luck!
Sorry to hear, I hope it gets clear up fast. I’m moving back to the east coast and I hope to come visit and purchase a Kei truck from you. Keep up the good work!
Sorry to hear this. My wife and I are still enjoying our '95 Sambar we got from you almost a year ago. I drive it almost every day and have put thousands of miles on it. I hope you get your latest (and all future) import woes taken care of as quickly as possible with as little $$$ cost as possible. 🍻🍻🍻
Dam Tony Tuber, that is lousy news, you and Stephanie run a completely straight up and honest business and now this happens to you. My thoughts are with you! I love love doing business with you my friend!
Honesty even though not pleasant is still the best policy for us to know. Sorry this shipment has been rejected by customs due to biological contamination. Hopefully you recover quickly. Blessings and peace.
This is the correct answer. All the other commenters complaining about 'big govment!' don't know what the hell they are talking about. Invasive species are a huge problem.
Just Government doing it’s job for us… (not a conspiracy as another commenter hinted at!!), but what a nightmare for you! How many of the original 69 trucks are tied up?
On one hand i know full well the importance of stopping invasive species, (latern fly) onbthe other hand they shouldn't make importing goods so difficult and costly, in the end your making them money in taxes.
If there was a snail and if it is invasive; then I have to understand their position. The company in JP is culpable but that is probably someone who wanted to finish the workday and get home to start the weekend and missed the snail...

True...homeland security is in fact doing their job:) Still hurts the pocket book! Thanks for your well wishes...
Retired Army. Would you believe Customs fined and held military equipment coming back into the US for excessive sand, dirt, bugs etc...

Thanks for your thoughtful reply:)
I'm sorry to hear this. I'll send prayers your way!
Thank you my friend:)

Nice to hear the Subie is good! Thanks for your well wishes:)
Snails?? Could they have been in the container prior to the trucks being loaded? Or came off the ship they were transported on?
No way of knowing but it has to be dealt with...Big money and bigger hassle
Too much government interference!
Did you watch the video? They did their job.
@@thezfunk their job is to interfere, doesn’t make it right.
This is racketeering by our goverment
Mucho dinero for sure:)

Thanks:) Do you like escargot? I've got a good deal on some...
It's all about the money. Period
Go figure!! We got open boarders but there worried about a snail in a mini truck. Good blessings my friend. How many snails warrent confication??
Yep, I you put it well. I would have said something in poor taste due to my lack of caring for political correctness. 😎
@@SRDragon1 It aint easy these days to voice ya thoughts without makin someone mad. God Bless America.

Hope they took care of the snails and you were able to get the trucks in, that would really bite if you had to ship them back.

Sounds like a shakedown to me.
Tough set of circumstances...
Question... is there insurance or a guarantee for this situation?
No, multiple thousands of dollars and you can't even protest for a nanosecond
That sucks, someone dropped the ball in Japan.
True indeed

Like most gubermint agencies: Organized (but "legal") crime. SMH
Hoping for a speedy resolution:)
Im praying for ya Tony.@@minitrucks

An entire Bill of lading containing 12 trucks and possible 14 more:(
@@minitrucks Oh dear. Fingers crossed they don’t have to be sent back…. 🤞❤️👍
The government does not always do a good job for us.
Makes sense, look at the frogs and land crabs in Austrila.
