I was wanting to buy a Japanese mini truck until I found out that Tennessee limits their use to only roads that are 30mph or under.

A good tip for newbies is you don't need to worry about the clutch before a stop sign/light or for emergency braking. Just push the stick to neutral and apply the footbrake. You only need the clutch to get into gear. Never _ever_ shift into 1st or Reverse while moving. 2nd gear is only for going around corners without stopping, or to get to 3rd and beyond. If the truck has a tacho, use 3rd to 5th gear to try to stay between 2,000 and 4,000RPM while moving. Advanced topics for further study include engine-braking, push-starting, when it's OK to skip a gear, and engine-stalls: how to avoid them and how to recover from them.
