As the owner of a 500hp 300ZX Twin Turbo I salute this Supra. I don't like the lack of proper brakes though. Get that fixed fast, dude.
MK4s are underrated. Not in terms of the drivetrain, but the suspension. They pull more Gs stock than FDs, which is insane, because FDs are viewed as gods in terms of handling.
It's not bad, but for its time the mk4 Supra was a fat pig compared to an RX-7. Stock for stock with modern tires the RX-7 will easily out handle and out brake the Supra simply because it has a huge weight advantage. Almost 3500 lbs for the Supra and 2900 for the RX-7. Ultimate grip or G's can be increased easily with big sticky tires on any car.
I pass a red automatic non turbo 96 supra everyday on my way to work and once a year I make an offer on the car. Hoping someday the owner will finely say yes to a modest offer then swap the engine and trans and build the car. Sadly the car doesnt run anymore and has minor front end damage but I see its potential.
@Tex 13 Depending on the final selling price, the Supra in question might not be much more than a clean Soarer. And at the end of the day, its still not a Supra.
