    Absolutely fantastic video. I learned most of this the hard way just trekking around the foothills of the Santa Rita's, but man do I wish I'd seen this first. Great video.

    Wonderful video! I grew up afraid of them, but recently moved to far west Texas. Here, human population is very low, and there is little pressure from hunting. So, I have a herd that basically live in my yard and a few will take cattle cubes, gently from my hand. They seemed predispositioned to do this, as I have only lived in this house for 2 months. They are amazing little critters.

    Great stuff Jason! Thanks for sharing your tips. I ran across a group scouting this past weekend out feeding. Hoping to find them again in January on the archery hunt.

      Spend the time and follow there trax to trails and figure out all the spots they could be when you eventually hunt them.

    I remember the first time I saw what I thought was javelina tracks. I saw what I thought were impossibly small deer prints, like only 1 to 2 inches. I thought, they must be fawn prints. But now I think it was javelina. The place I hike a lot is about one mile west of Lake Pleasant, north of Phoenix, Arizona. Thanks for the great video!

    A few months ago I was shooting photos in an industrial park area on the west side of State Route 77 near Catalina State Park. Right in the parking was a squadron eating away. I was no more than 20 feet from them as I took photos. They could care less as they were having dinner on weeds, grass, and whatever. They gradually moved to an overgrown area with cactus, trees, and shrubs alongside Route 77.

    Another great video! Good narration. It must be easy to track them with all the rooting and big groups they travel in.

    I just moved into my new home in rural AZ. I find Javalina scat around my house. My dog chased off three of them recently. Been trying to learn to track them, but I get confused with all the other critters including deer, rabbits etc. I thought I found a bedding place but it was just where someone had shoved some sand out of the wash...
    Not interested in harvesting any near the house, but curious to hunt them with black powder a ways up from me on private land.

    In Michigan we have wild Russian bore. Escape from hunting camps in 60’s. Year around season. Bad ass pigs 700 lbs. man killers. Only men and Bigfoot hunt them in Michigan. Cougars hunt youngsters.

      Their unpredictable nature makes them extremely dangerous and difficult to tame

    • @user-ud2ju5vl9f
      @user-ud2ju5vl9f 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I found out that a high school friend of mine kept two as pets. They were both neutered males. That likely affected their behavior. Out here in west Texas, where human population and hunting pressure is low, they are pretty unconcerned by my presence. A few will take cattle cubes, gently from my hand. Mostly, the friendly ones are female.
