    Price update, the Nokia G60 will start from just £249 in the UK, so cheaper than I expected. Thanks for watching, and please ignore any scammy Telegram people in the comments!

      Motorola/Xiaomi phones are still more worth it at that price. The only area they do worse is in software updates.

    I purchased this device after finding previously that you can't judge a phone from GSM Arena alone, had some experiences with high spec phones that performed badly in actual practice. I have to say, the build quality of this phone feels good, I'm not totally sold on the rear of the phone, but aside from that feels well built. It has a strong reception, which is something I'm very fussy about in phones after having issues with signal with some phones. The phone feels fast to use, and has a clean stock android experience. I also had some questions about the model of the phone and dealt with Nokia's customer care, and they were warm, friendly and first class really. The phone is a good choice for an everyday general use phone, the screen is fine, and if you don't like PWM on a lot of AMOLED displays then this IPS LCD won't have issues with that. It's strengths to me are solid build quality, clean android experience, good network reception and speeds, decent battery life and a headphone jack! It's weaknesses are average cameras that require good lighting, only 20w charger which is the minimum these days and an average processor. However, for the price, it's not going to be a 888 processor realistically, and unless you are someone who takes mobile gaming seriously, that's not a big issue.

      Your comment about Gsmarena review really spoke to me. I found myself getting discouraged from buying phones after reading the user reviews on GsmArena, but now I think I’ll just make a decision and hope for the best.

      I use a phone with a SD 480 and even with hd graphics on COD and maxed settings it still runs fine with no stutter and with Minecraft you can go up to 15 render distance and still fine so the chip doesn't rally matter so the 695 should be good for most

    I've bought this phone exactly a year ago after watching this review. Today I re-watched it because of the new film about the so called "barbie g42 5g" from you Tech Spurt. I must say that I'm pretty much surprised that you can find a phones like this today. These are truly great phones in opposition to the influx of cheap asian ones with their ux's which in no time make the phone overloaded and slow after a while. The clean android with SDragon, very decent display and surprisingly long lasting battery AND this long support is a true deal breaker for me. You might get an impression the pics aren't so great but after playing with the filters on the google pics and good light exposure the pics become really fine. I truly recommend this phone to anyone who values finger snap running os, decent specs, long-life battery and your money. Ah, 1 more thing: the maker HMD Global announced he's moving the production to Europe which in my view is really important. Cheers Tech Spurt

      I disagree. I realised the migraines I was getting was from the PWM on OLED phones as I use them a lot on low brightness (and if you use high frame cameras you can see that the flicker prevention software mostly doesn't work when turned on), and so moving forward I'm avoiding OLED's, the market of LCD displays is bare bones enough so I'm glad Nokia pretty much exclusively run IPS LCD screens on their phones. Even before I realised OLED screens were causing harm, I was never that sold on them, I had an S22 alongside a Motorola g200 5G, and I actually preferred the IPS LCD screen on the Motorola for watching stuff just from a viewing point of view, even if there was almost nothing in it aside from the bigger screen on the Motorola, both are great, but obviously have since sold the S22.

    I used to be the type of person that would always get the flagship models, all singing all dancing.
    But then I slowly realised that I wasn't really needing that extra stuff the flag ships offer so switched to mid range phones ever since and frankly I've not felt like I've missed out on anything.
    This Nokia has come out of left field for me as I believed Nokia were a done brand but this seems a decent handset for someone who just wants a phone for messaging, going online while out and about and using things like android auto and playing the odd simple mobile game.
    And at a price under £300 it's definitely on my list to replace my Samsung A71, which in true Samsung fashion has started to somewhat fall apart internally as it reached 2 years old... why do Samsungs always do this?
    I had Sony phones for years and the hardware was bullet proof and even now I could get the XA2 out of the drawer and it would work fine... the problem with Sony is I really disliked the slim design they've gone with.
    But I digress, the Nokia does look good, unless anyone has a recommendation for a mid range phone at around the £300 mark?

    • @dariojames
      @dariojames 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This phone is terrible for the price, check out Nord ce2 £249 90hz 128gb full amoled screen, 65w super fast charging, the list goes on. it's literally better in every single area. Of the G60 was £199 then they would sell but not at the price they gave it, it's why Nokia is a dead brand.

    • @Barbarapape
      @Barbarapape 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@dariojames It will soon drop in price, they all do.
      I agree the Nord has a better spec, but not the updates and warranty offered by Nokia.
      I prefer good backup inplace of a high spec phone that dies after a couple of years, Samsung are very prone to this.

Particularly in build quality and battery life - if these are things that are important to you. • @Barbarapape
      @Barbarapape 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bobwise1977 As a basic everday phone i would say that it's performace was adequate, but it lacks
      the slickness of a higher spec phone, it realy needs an upgrade to 6gb of Ram.
      The X30 is the better phone in terms of Ram, Camera, Amoled display, Sound and build quality.
      If you don't need the headphone socket and the option to expand the storage beyond 128gb i would go for it.
      At the moment both models are overpriced, the X30 should have had a faster CPU and GPU to justify it's price point.
      The screen on the G60 is good enough indoors, but struggles outdoors, this is where that Amoled display wins.
      If you can wait, i think that like all phones the price will drop to more sensible levels.
      The G60 is not worth £249, £199 is more sensible price, the X30 should drop down to £299 to make it competative.
      The Black Friday sales are not far away.
      Hope this helps you decide.

    • @bobwise1977
      @bobwise1977 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Barbarapape thank for replying to me. The only things holding me back from the X30 is the sd slot and the headphone jack. I do have Bluetooth headphones which are fine for listening but no good for singing through - although I could get a dongle connector. The 128GB is no good for me at all, but for £40 extra I can upgrade from 128GB to 256GB which also includes upgrading from 6GB ram to 8GB ram so thats a fair priced extra and would be adequate.
      As you say, I had already planned on waiting until black Friday deals before buying. I usually upgrade via a phone contract with a plan. Sadly Nokia is not available with my network, and they have become vastly overpriced compared to the other networks. But once again Im kind of trapped because of the signal in my area although the circular programme is something to think about as HMD mobile piggyback off my current network. There's loads to consider, so I'm gathering my info and waiting to see what deals crop up. I currently have the 8.3 but it lacks compared to my previous phone (Nokia 8) and before that I followed Nokia into windows phone (which I personally loved and the 950XL will always be my favourite device I think).
      Once again thanks for the help... All those things you said will go into my decision making 🙂

    Thank You for the Info👌😍
    Please give your Review on Nokia X30 5G and other Nokia Phones.
    Also give Review on Samsung A52s too.
    Why all Phone makers are making Bigger Size Handsets? Only Apple is making convenient & handy size handsets.
    Ideal size would be 6.1 inches, which is comfortable in hand.

      If possible, stay away from Oppo. Future updates can be issues once international crisis arise.

      I've never used Oppo as don't like the Chinese phones, but I did own the A52s 5g and while it was a great looking phone and perfectly reasonable phone, I found the signal to be weaker than my other phones and also the 5g speeds to be much slower too. I had the Motorola G200 5G at the same time, and while the A52 was a smaller more compact design, the signal and 5G speeds was significantly better with the Motorola. I frequently get about 200mbps with the G200 through 5G, and can always pick up 5G. With the A52 the speeds were around 70mbps in my area and it kept dropping back to slower 4G frequently too. The chipset in the Motorola was way better too, as it had a 888+ 5G chipset. I even preferred the screen even if IPS, even if both screens were absolutely excellent. The A52s did have a headphone jack which was a nice perk though, and the camera was maybe slightly better on the A52s too. For my use, I preferred the Motorola, which I think was the best all rounder under £400 when it came out at the back of last year. I can understand the appeal of the A52s 5G though, which is why it has been such a well selling phone.

    Nokia updates... Bought the co1 plus in Feb this year.. have yet to receive an update despite all the marketing on the box boasting about their security updates. I only use the phone for phone calls & a 9x pro for gaming. Bang Tidy.
